That’s a serious and mandatory request. Poop bags are available in the plastic box with the other dog gear, but please bring your own backup supply just in case and do not leave the poop bags behind. My ranch is a peaceful sanctuary away from the busy downtown or high-traffic regional parks. I have a large 2 acre pasture enclosed by horse fence that has picnic tables under large oak trees. Lots of room to run, dig, and chase sticks. They can also play in the kiddy pool. Other areas can be explored as well, but are not enclosed. A dog wash station is available to wash muddy paws.

I have a large space that I am sure a dog will love to run in. In the winter, post rain, it can get VERY muddy back there. Years of dogs running around has torn up a lot of the ground cover and it's now just dirt, which becomes mud in the winter. In the summer, the "grass" (more weeds than actual grass) gets very dry. There are some burrs due to the dryness so if your dog has longer fur they might get some attached to them. I do my best to weed the weeds that produce them, but there still might be some. It's a fairly large open space with a longer run on the side. Also, I want to note that in the back of the property the fence is lower, around 4/4.5 feet (the rest of the yard is at least 6 feet), so if your dog is a good jumper, this could be an issue. All breeds and dogs of any size are welcome but please leave yard as you found it (broom and trash can provided!) The spot is walking distance to West Oakland Bart station (About 10-12 minute walk). We have neighbors on either side of our home but it’s a very quiet neighborhood overall. Please do note that occasionally you can hear a dog barking from houses in the neighborhood or voices of neighbors enjoying their yard. Welcome to the McCann "Ranch." Fully fenced former horse arena. This is the ideal private area for a dog to explore and let out some energy. The secure arena has a fence that has been reinforced with welded wire added to original arena fencing. Nothing can get through this fence. Large secure area for dogs to run and play. Hose water, chairs and shade available. Towels and rags are available for wet weather. Poop bags are also available, please clean up after your pet. No farm animals currently on the property but expecting goats soon. Goats will be separated by a secure fence. Neighboring property has horses but several fences exist between the nieghbors horses and arena area. It may be possible to smell the horses but unlikely to visibly see the neighboring horses. We have a dog who will be away at the house at all times you are here. The house is not near the sniffpost designated area. If you'd like our dog to play with yours please message us, otherwise we'll leave you be and you will have total privacy.
