Camp Dilly Dally Doggie Park In Buckley

Partially Fenced
5 acres

We offer five acres of partially mowed fields and a natural wooded area. There is a small spring-fed pond and access to South Prairie Creek. Since the creek has a variable current, it may be best for larger dogs. The pond is ideal for smaller dogs who aren't strong swimmers. There are some logs and rocks to step over so sturdy shoes are recommended. We make a constant effort to subdue the blackberries but you may encounter strong-willed vines. Please avoid the dead tree area. There is a shed with supplies where you park.

Pig Beach (near Port Ludlow)

Fully Fenced
0.63 acres

A .63 acre dog sanctuary for you and your pup. The yard is well maintained with dog friendly grass and has incredible views of the Hood Canal and Puget Sound. If you're interested, there is private beach access for you and your pup to explore miles of beach (public but almost always empty). There are numerous dog toys available and a massive 6+ person, dog friendly couch (late Spring to early Fall) you can relax on and watch the canal when you need a break! Regarding the beach, there are approximately 50 steps which you will need to climb up and down to access the beach so please wear proper footwear. As this is on the Hood Canal and not a lake or a pond, tides impact the size of the beach. If you are hoping to walk endless miles of beach, the tide will need to be at 2ft or below. Anything under 4ft will give you a massive area (probably 1/2 mile or more) and almost guaranteed private area as only people with stairs can access the beach at this tide level. Though the beach is open at any point, I think the maximum height you would probably want to go is about 6.5ft. This still gives you and your dog a decent sized area to play in (approximately 500ft by 30ft or 1/2 acre). Photos 16 and 17 show the beach at 6.25ft with a very large sandy area for you and your pup to play in. Anything above 6.5 ft is not recommended as the beach just gets thinner and thinner, but you're able to try if you want. (no refunds given if you don't like what you find). With that said, a 8 ft tide still gives you approximately 20 feet x 300 feet of beach to roam so you pup still has some room to explore and 9ft is approximately 10 feet x 30 feet. You are responsible for checking out the tides before you go. Legally, I can't recommend any specific source for you to use, but you might find good information Googling "tide chart port ludlow". Regarding ADA Accessibility, my property is on a gently sloping hill. To access it, there are 2 very wide concrete steps to get to the grass. This would be doable for someone on crutches and probably ok for a regular wheelchair if you had a second person to help lower you to each step and pull you up. It's definitely not accessible to a motorized wheelchair. Sorry. Note - restroom is only available if I'm home, otherwise there is one approximately 2 miles northwest at the gas station in Port Ludlow

55This was my first trip during winter and it did not disappoint!! The property was in great condition, and that’s not easy with all of the mud this time of year. It was a super chilly and clear morning when we were there and my girls had the absolute time of their life. It was barely 37° and they were still in and out of all of the water and running around and this is one of my favorite spots for a reason. I cannot recommend it enough.

55Perfect place for a dog to be a dog! Lots of new sniffs, space for many zooms, and splish splash...your kid will definitely need a bath afterwards. Definitely muddy in spots but brought my waterproof hiking boots, trust you'll need them and maybe a towel for your car. Beautiful sunny, winter day for exercise and fresh air. Will be back

55This spot was so fun! My water dog was completely worn out by the end of our visit. We mainly stayed in the creek side area and it was clean and well cared for. We visited soon after the flooding that happened this winter, so it was understandably muddy, but still easy to navigate around and of course my pup was having a blast in the mud. I can’t wait to bring her back!

55What a fun spot for a dog who loves the water! We arrived late due to poor weather but he still had a blast and tired himself out running circles snd jumping in the creek. I felt so bad when it was time to go because he was having so much fun but luckily we were able to extend our visit on the app. We’ll definitely be back!

Frequently asked questions about Phinney Ridge dog beaches

Why are private dog beaches better than public dog parks in Phinney Ridge?

Private dog beaches in Phinney Ridge eliminate major public park risks: unpredictable dog encounters that scare puppies, aggressive dogs that trigger reactive behavior, chaotic crowds that overwhelm seniors or small dogs, and disease transmission from dozens of unknown dogs. Phinney Ridge's 10 private dog beaches offer complete privacy, professionally maintained cleanliness, and controlled environments. Whether you have a fearful puppy, a reactive adult, a fragile senior, or simply want peace of mind, private bookings give you control.

How safe are Phinney Ridge dog beaches compared to public dog parks?

Phinney Ridge dog beaches are significantly safer than public facilities. Public dog parks risk: aggressive dogs, inattentive owners, disease transmission, overcrowding that triggers reactive behaviors or injuries. Private Phinney Ridge dog beaches eliminate these concerns—bookings are completely private, all guests have vaccinated dogs (or titers), and hosts maintain clean spaces. 93% of Sniffspot reviews are 5 stars.

Are Phinney Ridge dog beaches safe for reactive dogs?

Phinney Ridge owners of reactive dogs choose dog beaches because they offer safe, private environments for off-leash exercise without the triggers of public dog parks. Complete privacy means no unexpected dog encounters, no overwhelming chaos, no aggressive dogs. Reactive dogs can finally enjoy swimming and beach activities while building confidence in a controlled setting. Many Phinney Ridge reactive dog owners say Sniffspot is their only safe exercise option.

Can anxious dogs safely use Phinney Ridge dog beaches?

Yes! Phinney Ridge dog beaches provide controlled environments perfect for anxious or fearful dogs. No other dogs means no triggers, no overwhelming situations. Anxious dogs can explore a waterfront area where dogs can swim, play in sand, and enjoy beach activities off-leash at their own pace without stress. Many Phinney Ridge dog beaches offer quiet, spacious settings ideal for building confidence in nervous dogs who struggle at chaotic public dog parks.

Are Phinney Ridge dog beaches good for small dogs?

Absolutely! Small dogs benefit enormously from Phinney Ridge dog beaches because they can explore without fear of being trampled or intimidated by larger breeds. Many small dog owners in Phinney Ridge avoid public parks entirely due to safety concerns—dog beaches eliminate that worry. Filter for appropriate sizing, secure fencing with no gaps, and hosts who understand petite pup needs.

Do Phinney Ridge dog beaches work for senior dogs?

Yes! Senior dogs thrive at Phinney Ridge dog beaches because they can move at their own pace without being knocked over by rambunctious puppies or young dogs. Look for Phinney Ridge dog beaches with flat terrain, easy access, shade, and smaller sizes if your senior has mobility limitations. The privacy means your older dog can rest when needed and enjoy gentle exercise without stress.

What do Phinney Ridge dog owners say about dog beaches?

Reviews of Phinney Ridge dog beaches consistently highlight: excellent privacy for all dog types, secure fencing that prevented escapes, clean and well-maintained spaces, responsive hosts, and safe environments for anxious, fearful, reactive, senior, and small dogs. Local favorite Ashley's 25 Acre Partially Fenced Private Dog Park In Duvall is particularly praised in Phinney Ridge. Read reviews to see real experiences from Phinney Ridge dog owners with similar needs.

How clean and maintained are Phinney Ridge dog beaches?

Phinney Ridge hosts maintain their own dog beaches and take pride in providing excellent experiences. All guests must have vaccinated dogs (or titers). Many Phinney Ridge hosts provide poop bags, trash cans, and regular cleaning. Reviews highlight maintenance quality—browse Phinney Ridge dog beach listings to see real feedback about cleanliness and upkeep.
