Spacious 2 Acre Fully Fenced Private Dog Park In Junction City

Fully Fenced
2 acres

Bring your pup to stretch, run, and explore our 2-acre fully fenced property in Junction City! The entire area is enclosed with a sturdy 6-foot chain link fence, and portions include a privacy screen for extra peace of mind and comfort. Your dog will have plenty of room to roam, sniff, and play safely off-leash. While there are goats and chickens outside of the fenced area, they are not visible from the dog park. The space includes chairs and a table —perfect for relaxing while your pup plays—and some dog toys to keep the fun going. We're currently building a permanent covered area as the canopy tents we previously used do not hold up during heavy rainstorms. We are conveniently located in Junction City, being an ideal getaway for dogs who love open space and secure freedom.

We do ask that you please pick up after your dog - we will have shovels and poop bags readily available. You are also more than welcome to walk your dog down our road if you are looking for a lovely leisure walk! Ask us about our antler chews! When visiting I will make sure all dogs are up in the house. There may be barking here and there so please let me know if your dog has any sensitivities and I will accommodate. There is an occasional horse in the next pasture or goats. Jasper Memorial Sanctuary - Sliding Fee Scale Using Discount Codes (See Details in Description Below - scroll down)

Fully Fenced
1.3 acres

SLIDING SCALE DISCOUNTS - Guest can choose their pay rate for sanctuary use based on their moment-to-moment economic status. Discounts are as follows: $2 off (JMSS2) $4 off (JMSS4) $6 has been removed. Dog damage to newly planted trees has incentivized this change. Enter the discount code (in parentheses) for your desired discount. Just as a reminder, or for new inquiries, the effort and cost to recover/rebuild Jasper Memorial Sanctuary was extensive and expensive. Material costs were over $5000. Labor costs, had I hired all the hours worked, are over $15,000. The price increase for utilizing the Sanctuary is small in comparison to the expenses incurred from the loss (0.1%). Thank you to all my amazing guests who have given your dog(s) the opportunity to find their calm within by visiting Jasper Memorial Sanctuary. It is amazing to see your dogs and you finding your inner peace. Thank you too for following all of the rules to keep this SS sustainable into the future. The fee set is the amount needed to allow me to keep this site open and provide improvements when needed. (I understand other sites charge less, but I've learned charging less is not financially sustainable. Hosts do not earn what they charge). I love hosting new and returning guests. RECENT IMPROVEMENTS/RESTORATION: Approximately 80 damaged/downed trees removed. 40 uprooted stumps ground out 340' of new 5' fencing installed 140' fencing repaired New entrance gate/location created 100s perhaps 1000s of poison oak dug out (it's still present, just fewer) Culvert installed at entrance with gravel path to gate. New signs installed. Three new maple trees planted. A 6'x6' sand box has been added. Please encourage digging in this location only. Discourage digging in all other locations for the safety of everyone and the preservation of the environment. A poop bag dispenser has been installed on a post near the gate and will be kept filled - guests may need to refill dispenser from the supply inside the dispensing case. Jasper Memorial Sanctuary, named in memory of my soul dog Jasper, is no larger than 1.3 acres in and fully fenced. The acreage is a combination of mid-age dense timber, new reforestation, devastation zone and open grass. The area is flanked on two sides by driveway. 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘁𝘆 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝘀𝗮𝗻𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗹𝘀. Be respectful of wildlife. Deer and turkey roam the property and consider the space their home. If there are wild animals in the sanctuary enclosure upon your arrival, please keep your dog(s) on leash until the other animals have vacated the area. Under no circumstance are dogs allowed to chase wildlife. Domestic and rescued animals that live on the property include horses, donkeys, geese and chickens. 𝗣𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗹𝘀 and do not approach any of these animals. 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 is about 50' away from the entrance gate. Please keep dog(s) on leash until within the fenced enclosure. 𝗘𝘅𝘁𝗿𝗮 𝗩𝗲𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗹𝗲𝘀 - If you have reason to have more than two vehicles for your visit, please contact me prior to reserving for pre-approval. If approved, there will be an "Extra" fee to add to your reservation. Please select the appropriate "Extra" for the number of vehicles approved. 𝗔𝗯𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝗡𝗼 𝗦𝗺𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗩𝗮𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗼𝗿 𝗗𝗿𝘂𝗴 𝗼𝗿 𝗔𝗹𝗰𝗼𝗵𝗼𝗹 𝗨𝘀𝗲 anywhere on the property anytime. 𝗗𝗢 𝗡𝗢𝗧 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗱𝗼𝗴𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗰𝗮𝗿. Be sure all dogs brought to the property have been registered with Sniffspot for your visit for liability purposes. A 𝘄𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗴𝗼𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗱𝗼𝗴 𝗯𝘂𝗰𝗸𝗲𝘁𝘀 are available near the parking area at the corner of the barn. There are also two to three 2-gallon water buckets just outside the dog sanctuary area for your use. If I'm able to, will rinse and fill fresh buckets in the morning, however, feel free to refresh them at the spigot at the barn throughout the day. 𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘁, two chairs, two benches and a small folding table are available at the site. They may be folded and leaning against a tree during the rainy season. A 𝗽𝗼𝗼𝗽 𝗯𝘂𝗰𝗸𝗲𝘁 located in the wooden cabinet attached to the fence is available. Please limit to poop. I have no garbage service at the farm, I am the garbage service. Thank you for your consideration. Please 𝗽𝗶𝗰𝗸 𝘂𝗽 𝗮𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳 and your dog so each person/dog can have an enjoyable experience. NOTE: Wild animal poop will not be picked up. Expect to encounter poop from turkeys and deer. While the presence of coyote, fox, bobcat and cougar is rare, you might see the poop of these animals as well. 𝗨𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗱𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗮𝗻𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗺𝗮𝘆 𝗯𝗲 𝗰𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗱. The sanctuary is at 1300' elevation and will be closed, appointments cancelled, during snow events. During fire season, the sanctuary may need to be closed, appointments cancelled, due to extreme fire danger. 𝗜 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗳𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗺𝘆 𝗴𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝘀 - I will attempt to meet you and your dog at your first visit - I will never approach your dog. After that you may not see me during your visit. If I'm not present at your arrival, please review the rules and things to be aware of prior to using the sanctuary posted at the sanctuary entrance. Please help to keep costs down by adhering to the property rules.

I live on 1.7 acres in Lebanon. We own a construction business and have an orchard out back that my dogs love to run in. We have two shops as well as a large gravel area for parking. The entire area is fenced. We also have a covered seating area for owners to relax while their furry friends explore. This is perfect for the rainy season if your dogs love running in the rain while you don't. I have 4 dogs that I will keep inside during your stay. I supply a chuck it, balls, water, doggy bags/trashcan, a kiddie pool for hot days where your dog can just lay and cool down, and chairs for seating.

Your Complete Guide to Dog Parks in Springfield, Oregon

Real talk: if you’ve been to Jasper Road Dog Park on a rare sunny weekend when the whole town decides to show up, you already know public dog parks here aren’t it. Or maybe you’ve tried the off-leash area at Willamalane Park when every picnic table is taken and the small dog section feels like a mosh pit? Springfield dog owners deal with some real challenges. The rain turns most parks into mud for half the year, off-leash areas get packed as soon as the sun comes out, and finding spots with secure fencing, good drainage, and working dog water fountains can feel impossible.

Springfield’s got public spots like Jasper Road Dog Park, Island Park, Willamalane Park, and a few smaller fenced areas scattered around town—but here’s what you’re actually dealing with. Muddy grass that stays slick for days after a storm. Crowded small dog area and big dog area sections where it’s hard to find space. Picnic tables that vanish early, waste bag stations that run empty, and water fountains that might be frozen or out of order. Some parks have play or agility course equipment, but good luck using it once the rain starts. And forget about dog swimming pools or dog beaches—you’re mostly looking at fields that alternate between puddles and dust, depending on the month.

Why Springfield Dog Owners Are Done With Public Parks

Look, public off-leash parks here just don’t work for everyone. If your dog’s still learning recall, you need secure fencing, not a patchy wire section near traffic. It’s January and pouring again? You need gravel or turf footing, not a mud pit. The big dog area gets overrun fast, and if your pup prefers quiet, forget about it on weekends. Private bookings solve all that.

Springfield Sniffspot hosts understand the Willamette Valley reality. Properties with all-weather turf or gravel that drains, shaded picnic tables, functioning dog water fountains, play and agility course features, and fenced acres where your dog can actually run. Some even have covered seating areas, rinse-off stations for muddy paws, and bonus dog toys or treats. No registration hassle, no checking paperwork at the gate—just a clean, private space when you need it.

What Your Springfield Dog Actually Needs

Springfield dogs need a lot more than soggy grass and crowded enclosures. Secure fencing for safety whether they’re in big dog area mode or small dog area comfort. Ground that won’t turn to mud after a light drizzle. Dog water fountains that stay running year-round. Shaded picnic tables and covered areas where you can hang out between zoomies. Play and agility course setups for mental and physical exercise. Reliable waste bag stations that aren’t empty by 10am. That’s what Sniffspot hosts around Springfield are offering—real spaces designed for real Oregon dogs.

Where to Find Dog Parks in Springfield

There are about 50 public dog parks around Springfield and neighboring Eugene, from Jasper Road and Willamalane to spots near Island Park, Thurston, and Mohawk Valley. But Sniffspot adds another level—completely private dog parks you can book by the hour across Springfield, Lane County, and beyond. East Springfield, Gateway, Jasper, Camp Creek, and even the Mohawk Valley have hosts offering big, fenced yards, forested trails, and clean, dry play areas no matter the season. Filter for features like play or agility course setups, secure fencing, dog swimming pools, or covered seating areas.

Pro Tips for Springfield Dog Park Visits

Rain or shine, plan your visits wisely. Early mornings or cloudy afternoons tend to be the quietest times. Bring extra towels for muddy paws and water in case fountains are off. Dog booties help on cold gravel or pavement. Pack dog treats or toys for training and recall sessions. And if you’re tired of dodging puddles and crowds, book a private Sniffspot instead.
Why Sniffspot wins in Springfield: completely private, fully fenced, and Oregon-weather ready. No fighting for picnic tables or worrying about the small dog area getting crowded. Just space for your dog to run, explore, and play without the chaos. Browse dozens of Springfield Sniffspots and find your perfect spot today.

Frequently asked questions about Springfield dog parks

Why are private dog parks better than public ones in Springfield?

Private dog parks in Springfield eliminate the major risks of public facilities: unpredictable dogs, inattentive owners, disease transmission, and chaotic environments that can overwhelm puppies, seniors, small dogs, or reactive pets. Sniffspot's 91 private Springfield locations offer complete privacy, professionally maintained spaces, and flexible scheduling. Whether you have a nervous puppy or a dog-selective adult, private bookings give you control and peace of mind.

How are Springfield Sniffspot locations different from public dog parks?

Springfield Sniffspots offer: (1) Complete privacy with no other dogs during your booking, (2) Controlled environments without aggressive dogs or chaos, (3) Flexible scheduling based on availability, not rigid park hours, (4) Safety for dogs of all temperaments and ages, (5) Vetted and reviewed locations—93% of visits get 5-star reviews. You get all the benefits of off-leash exercise in Springfield without public dog park risks.

Can reactive dogs safely use Springfield dog parks?

Yes, and this is exactly what Sniffspot was designed for! Springfield has 91 private locations where reactive dogs can exercise off-leash without encountering other animals. Since bookings are completely private with 30-minute buffers between visitors, your reactive dog won't face the triggers that make public dog parks impossible. Many Springfield owners of reactive dogs rely on Sniffspot as their only safe exercise option.

What amenities help anxious or reactive dogs in Springfield?

Look for Springfield locations with "fewer dogs seen/heard" to minimize triggers for reactive dogs. Secure fencing prevents escapes during stress. Quiet, spacious properties reduce anxiety. Some Springfield hosts specifically cater to nervous or reactive dogs with extra privacy features. Read reviews to find hosts who understand fearful or reactive dog needs.

How clean are Springfield dog parks?

Unlike public dog parks where cleanliness varies wildly, Sniffspot hosts in Springfield maintain their own spaces and take pride in providing clean environments. All guests must have vaccinated dogs (or titers) to prevent disease transmission. Many Springfield hosts provide poop bags and trash cans. Reviews highlight cleanliness, so you can choose well-maintained locations.

Can I visit Springfield dog parks with multiple dogs?

Yes! Most Springfield Sniffspots welcome multiple dogs from the same household. Some hosts set limits (like 2-3 dogs maximum), which will be noted on the listing. If you have several dogs—especially if some are reactive toward other dogs—Sniffspot's private bookings let them play together safely without outside interference.

Are Springfield dog parks good for senior dogs?

Yes! Springfield Sniffspot locations are excellent for senior dogs who need gentle exercise without the stress of public dog parks. Older dogs can explore at their own pace, rest when needed, and avoid being knocked over by rambunctious puppies or large dogs. Look for Springfield spots with flat terrain, shaded areas, and smaller sizes if your senior has limited mobility.

How do I find dog parks in Springfield for small dogs?

Filter Springfield's 91 locations by "small dog friendly" to find spaces specifically suited for toy breeds and small dogs. These tend to be more intimate, with secure fencing that prevents squeezing through gaps. Some Springfield hosts have separate small dog areas or cater specifically to petite pups who might get overwhelmed at large public dog parks.
