Medium Yard for Dogs in Coquitlam (No Escape Artists!)

IMPORTANT: all prices listed are in USD and guests will be charged in USD Figured I'd give this a try since I have such a nice, big, relatively unused backyard! I'm describing it as medium to be conservative, it's about 2500 sqft, give or take. Newly planted fruit trees around the perimeter of the yard along with other fruiting plants including a monstrous blackberry bush that straddles the adjacent property. Warning that there may be spiky vines on the edges of the property! *MAY 2026 UPDATE* The enormous property straddling bramble is GONE, as per the owner's wishes. So while the risk of spikes has gone down, the wall of privacy it created on the left side of the yard is also gone. Less privacy than before, but the neighbors do not own a dog. I hope disturbances are low with this new arrangement! PLUS it's summer, so there are raspberries and blackberries aplenty! But other than that, it's a wide open backyard, with some late day shade provided by the pine trees. The fence is a classic metal chain link, with only the entrance to the yard (more of a baby gate) and one divot in the back that a crafty (but small) canine could squeeze through (I've only ever seen cats use it tho), which is why I titled it "No Escape Artists!". Otherwise with the picnic table provided, it's easy to grab a seat, play with your pets, or just let them explore while you chill! Whole yard is in eyesight (except under the Pine trees). Fallen branches, wildlife and other normal outdoor conditions may occasionally be present. 🐦🐿️ The lowest fencing is approximately 4 feet high. This field may not be suitable for dogs that can jump, climb or escape over a 4-foot fence. 👀 PRIVACY AND DISTRACTIONS Our family dogs do not enter the Sniffspot field during confirmed reservations. They may occasionally be seen or heard from our separate family yard or house. Dogs, people, cyclists, vehicles and other animals may also sometimes be seen or heard outside the property. This is a good option for dogs that benefit from private space but can tolerate occasional sights and sounds. It is not a completely visually or audibly isolated location. 💧 SELF-SERVE AMENITIES The water, pool, toy, waste and seating areas are self-serve. It’s a fully fenced back yard. As you walk down the stairs that lead past the main entrance and through the wooden gate, you will notice several security cameras belonging to the lady upstairs and myself. The back yard past the corner of the house is not monitored by camera. From the patio to the edge of the grass is fairly small, you’ll notice another set of stairs leading down the centre of the yard, to a mid level, sloped area. And another small path along the left fence line that leads to a third lower level area that is more unkept than the two levels above, it has large trees, blackberry bushes that are very sharp, and I suggest caution for the smaller fur-babies that dare to go that far down. There are doggy-waste bags available for waste removal. Anywhere in the yard is fine, except the far right fence line where my small strip of vegetable beds are located. Humans may use the washroom in the house, with all basic hygiene products available. The hose and kiddie pool is available for use free, upon request. I will be reached via Sniffspot app chat or a knock on the glass sliding door, should you need me. Otherwise after the initial meeting I will be inside, minding my own business. Will be tested before your visit for harmful bacterial, algae etc. I am happy to brew you a pot of tea or make you a coffee as well. For an additional fee, I can help with training, enrichment, and each visitor gets a wag bag upon arrival with a list of ideas about how to best use the space to give your dog a great day! For an additional fee, you can rent the hot tub for humans only obviously, if your dog is supervised or well behaved. Can also set up a canopy for rainy or sunny days. Just let me know! Yard damage will be a minimum $50 fee for digging holes, and $100 for pulling trees bushes or other plants. It is a very well loved and highly landscaped yard in the summer so its just available until late April when gardening begins! Please feel free to set up your own agility stuff but the yard is very sloped. The wood steps can be very slippery in the heavy rain so please use this space at your own risk!
