There's also a very large deck area around the pool. The pool is not for dogs unfortunately as it's a vinyl liner and dogs can easily rip it with their nails. (We'll see what happens in the summer whether we choose to let humans use it or not) there are deck chairs scattered around and you have access to a cold water hose and a wash sink with hot & cold water for dogs feet etc. There is also an indoor human bathroom accessible.

Fully fenced yard however my one and only neighbour ( older couple no kids , only one little shit zhu lives there. There’s a approx 4 ft retainer wall in between our yards and they have a sometimes yappy shit Zhu , but if she lets him outside and he starts barking barking barking she brings him right back in. And unfortunately I cannot control what my neighbours do so unfortunately if this doesn’t work for you I do sincerely apologize however can’t control what they do. So as long as ur dog will listen to you and come to you if they do happen to see the little shit Zhu , or if there not gunna jump up the retaining wall . I will add a few more photos tmrw. My husband and I were talking tonight about what I can do to fix the no fence retaining wall side of the property so that I won’t have to worry about it.

The area available is not fenced and is 3.5 acres, situated entirely off the road. The main play space is an heirloom apple orchard with 25+ beautiful old gnarled trees in an unmowed meadow. My own reactive dog loves to spring through the tussocks and uses the trees like an obstacle course. Beyond the meadow is 3.5 acres of hawthorn scrub that’s great for dogs, but not easily human-penetrable. Perfect for letting adventurous dogs have a solo romp if they have good recall. Rebecca's lovely home in Squamish is in a quiet, safe neighborhood. My two dogs loved exploring the enclosure and I loved enjoying the view during their sniffari! I felt very much at ease as the enclosure was secure and my dogs could roam freely. There weren't any dogs in the neighbors' yards, so it was super relaxing for everyone!

This was such a wonderful find! I've been waiting for a spot to pop up in the Vancouver area and was not disappointed. I won't lie, it felt super weird going into someone's back yard but once we met the host that feeling subsided lol! The area is fully fenced and contained which is perfect for my explorers. The door to the garage was open but the main garage door to the alley is shut. Easy enough to call your dog away while supervising their play. My pups tried to go in a couple of times so I just redirected them out :) This is the perfect space to let your dog be free without concern of other dogs / people. They can sniff, play and roll around as they please. We will definitely be back again, thank you Aimee for supplying a place that reactive dogs can just be dogs :)

While driving from the North Shore to Aimee's Dog Park, I encountered a dreadful traffic jam and didn't arrive until 5 minutes before my time was scheduled to conclude. I messaged Aimee, who was kind enough to invite us to enjoy her backyard despite our tardiness. Aimee came out to say hello and meet my two dogs, and was so welcoming and accommodating. My dogs loved exploring her yard and meeting Aimee and her family. It was a very successful "Sniffari"!

What a fabulous property! I went with both my dogs, one being reactive & I was a bit nervous because there are neighbouring dogs but Shawna was fantastic & sent me videos of the grounds & the areas to avoid. We ended up exploring every inch of the property including all the trails and the creek. Mason is a senior dog and has mobility issues & was happily able to do all the areas. I left with two happy, tired dogs. We will definitely be back!

Shawna and Hayden are such lovely hosts! A very thoughtfully arranged Sniffspot that we will definitely return to. The property is gorgeous, quiet, and away from roads and other houses and there are some trails and a small creek to explore. Not fenced but if you’re comfortable with a long line or have an off leash dog (with bomb proof recall even from wildlife) still a wonderful place for dogs and their humans to enjoy a little peace and relaxed fun.

Are dog parks good for dogs?

It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.

Are dog parks safe?
