“I have had a very rough and almost short life. I was homeless until a big van picked me up and took me to a scary, cold place. I once had a foster mom which was nice but her family dogs did not like me and jumped me biting a piece of my ear off! She then kept me in a bedroom to keep me safe but I was very sad because I could hear a happy family in the other rooms wishing I had one. She said I was a very good boy because I respected her things. I never chewed on anything and never went potty in the bedroom no matter how long I was in there. Most times I just laid in the room just thankful I wasn’t at the cold, scary place and I didn’t want to be bad bc I didn’t want to go back. One day my foster mom was crying and the door opened up, her husband put a leash on me and I thought I was finally going to be part of the family. We got in the truck and I was excited until I noticed I was back at the place I dreaded the most. What did I do wrong? Why was I back here? I was so sad and then I heard a word that I knew was not good, euthanasia! I was going to have this euthanasia because I heard no one wanted me, it was a very bad day. Then when my time was up I hear them say Andy has been adopted! Adopted, I thought this can’t be for me bc I’m an adult dog and weighed over 60 lbs and due to being a black dog knew there must be another Andy so I just laid back down on the cold ground. One of the workers came up to me and put a leash on my collar and said Andy you have been adopted and have a new forever home! I couldn’t believe it and even though the first month or so was a little rough bc I was still scared, my mom didn’t give up on me and promised I would NEVER go back to that scary place ever again! That was over 3 years ago and I have been spoiled every day since! I now have the family I wished so badly for and I’m my mom’s best friend! Sometimes she lives in me too much but I now feel safe and loved!“

“Hiiii I'm Andy but my mom calls me Andies, Anderson, and my personal favorite, Andrew J. I love people and will go home with you if you let me. I'm not super high energy but I'll ALWAYS be down for a walk or a sniff. I'm not good at making friends with other dogs but I have a few that I love. I prefer to be the only dog in the dog park though. I can't wait to sniff your yard 🐶“
