“I am a very curious silly boy, and I am in a new home with a new owner and I'm unsure of everything around me, I just want to be able to go somewhere where I can be a dog. Because we are learning together and we live in an apartment where there isn't much room to roam around.“

“He is one of the most awesome dogs I’ve ever seen. He is so loving, he legitimately smiles when he sees the people he loves the most. And if he wants your attention, he will howl. He sits on your lap and looks back with so much love in his eyes. He’s the kind of dog that everyone wants to take home with them. he’s the OG of the group.“

“Hi I'm Bruiser, I'm a 150lbs scaredy cat! Mom says I'm intimidating to some people. I'm terrified of strangers especially breaded men. I'm typically glued to my mom's side but sometimes my nose ventures off. If you ever see me and I start barking mom says to just say in a stern voice "Bruiser enough" or "Bruiser mind your Business". I'm more scared of you than you are of me.. Once you say my name I will generally cower and do what I'm told or go find my mom“

“I am Bruiser and I am eight. I've been a guard dog all my life, so I've seen some scary things and had to make some scary choices. Since I was five I have mostly just been protecting my mommy because I love her and I don't want her to get hurt. But everything seems like a threat to me until I get used to it. To get used to something you have to give it a chance that it might be a threat. And I protect her from all threats. She says a lot that I need to "chill out". At where we used to live, I mostly just had to protect her from mice at the house, and sometimes let her know if a car or a person was there that I wasn't familiar with. But in an apartment, it's different because there's people everywhere (all threats) and I can't tell if they are messing with our walls or not. And there are other dogs too. My brother sometimes gets in trouble if there's a dog with balls like him, so if I see another dog, I bark at them to keep them away, but I snap at my brother to tell him he should stay away from them and then i get in trouble for starting a fight with my brother. I am kind of confused about how I am supposed to act now because it's different than it's been for most of my life, but I like that my house is always warm and my mommy isn't so stressed out and we have a nice big couch now that I like a lot. I miss chasing the mice, but my mommy says she doesn't miss them. I like to fetch a stick, and I LOVE to fetch a stick in the water. My brother doesn't like to swim, so I am usually the one who fetches the most sticks when she throws them in the water.“
