“I have a person that likes to take me to fun places. We really love each other and like to be together. She says I am the happiest being she has ever known but that my excitement about life can be too much sometimes - so a run in the open is the best thing for me/us!“

“I am an AmBully and will be 11 this year…. I never meet a stranger and loves lots of hugs and kisses“

“High energy 7 year old Boston Terrier. Needed to be leashed at all times unless in a fenced area. Reactive to other dogs and new people. Looking for private spaces for him to stretch out and burn energy off-leash as we don’t have a fenced yard.“
— Emily B.
“I may be over 13 years old now, but I still got to get walk around the fence done every time I’m outside. Got to get those steps in. Fetch and tug of war used to be my thing and sometimes when I have the energy I will play for a little bit, but I mostly like to sleep, and cuddle with my parents. Oh and eat..I LOVE to eat! And will eat anything in front of me, so keep a close eye on your food, or I might snag it!“
— Reba B.
“Cecil is a barky rat terrier rescued from Georgia in 2024. We are working on being less reactive!!“

“Hi, I’m Cecil! I’m a 2-year-old pit/mastiff mix who was recently adopted from Kansas. I spent most of my puppy life on the streets and then bounced around foster homes in Lawrence—mostly fraternities and sorority houses—until my new family found me. I’m super sweet, love every human I meet, and I’m learning what it’s like to have a stable home. I’m still gaining weight after coming into the shelter underweight, but I’ve got plenty of energy for walks, fetch, and tug-of-war. I seem pretty relaxed around other dogs, though I haven’t had much practice meeting them yet.“
