“Gauge is a graduate of the Magic City K9 prison dog training program. He’s very social I take him with me to a lot of places - to run errands such as FedEx, Walgreens, pickup food etc. I often walk him through busy places like CocoWalk to work on manners with distractions. He loves to be outdoors that’s his happy place. He is very loving but large and doesn’t realize how big he is, he wants to be a lap dog but is about 65-70 lbs overweight for that!“
— Rachel D.
“I call him goober-hound because he is such a character. High prey drive, loving, and likes to play. Best with big dogs, as little ones look like prey to him.“
— Brian S.
“Gauge loves to play fetch with ball, frisbee or any toy he can find! Loves to swim and loves his stuffed animals!“
— Nancy S.
“My name is Gauge and I am a 2 year old (appropriately) pitbull. I was picked up as a stray in February 2024 and was time stamped to be euthanized when Philly Rescue Angels saved me. I was at some point adopted out at least once but was returned to the rescue as their female dog and I kept getting into fights. Eventually I was sent to a boarding facility until one day…. My new mum and dad came to meet me. I wanted to make a great first impression so I immediately knocked Mum over and then shoved my entire face in a bucket so I could drip water all over them. Clearly they were very impressed because I went home with them that day. I took an immediate liking to the stuffed rhino they brought me. It was a favorite of their Frenchie. I am 90% good and 10% wild child. I have to be confined to the kitchen when my humans are gone because I have been destructive. So when my humans come home I am so full of energy and like to run through the house, doing parkour off the couch. Once my energy dies down a bit I love to cuddle on the couch and watch TV. I live with two kitty siblings, Memphis Raines (female black) and Shelby (male orange and white). Shelby and I get along ok, I’m a little afraid of him tbh. But I like to lick his ears and we can sit together nicely on the couch with the humans. We cannot be left unsupervised at any time. Memphis is very scared of me and will observe me from afar only.“

“Hi I’m Gauge! I’m a Miniature American Shepherd who was rehomed to my furever family at 13 month old. I’m full of energy and love a good adventure. I love camping, paddle boarding, and long walks in the forest.“

“Hi there! My name’s Gauge and I’m 8 years young. I’m a lab mix that will do anything for a treat, and my number one enemy is the common neighborhood squirrel (we’re working on it in therapy). My mom just adopted my sister and I so we’re still getting to know each other, but I think if I keep up this whole “looking cute” schtick she’ll keep us for a while.“
