Mom brought me home (while my dad was deployed) and got me all healthy again through a heat cycle, parvovirus, and gross skin infections because my last owners were not good people and let me get really sick. I couldn’t be socialized for a long time and people still freak me out, especially if they try to touch me or get near my mom. When I was 5, my parents moved from Ohio to Washington because we all like to be outside a lot. I’m almost 8 now, very healthy, super smart, and I love 12 humans and tolerate another 4. My favorite games are chase and fetch, but I need my playmates to know when I get overwhelmed or tired, I need space. Oh, also, my parents brought home a new baby sister for me. She has a lot of energy and mom says she’s really friendly, but she keeps trying to take my ball! She’s alright to snuggle with when she gets tired though and I’m teaching her how to respect other dogs’ boundaries.“
