“Maggie is a 11 year old lab mix that just loves to get her sniff on. She thinks she likes to run and play but that lasts about 5 seconds. She loves kitties, I believe she sees them as babies that need to be cuddled, cats hardly ever understand of course. Maggie loves everyone but is SUPER submissive and will not stand up for herself, which is why the traditional public style dog parks usually do not work for her. Maggie has been attacked 2 times at public dog parks since she was 1 year old, and 3 times at our apartment complex. Still, Maggie holds no grudges but it has made her afraid of new dogs. With new dogs she is trimmed and still, super submissive and she will run if it becomes too much which can snowball into the other dog thinking she wants to play and so on. Maggie was a rescue from a dog hoarding situation in Corning California. There she was starved, riddled with worms, living in a hole under a travel trailer, picked on by the other dogs and physically abused by some of the humans on the property. When she came to us she weighed 17 pounds at 1 and a half years old. She had to gain weight to be able to safely be spayed. Today Maggie is a spoiled 12 year old happy girl. She is a foodie, loves to sniff, loves humans and children, high energy children can be overwhelming to her eventually but she loves them all the same. She loves other animals but new and dominant dogs are intimidating/scary. She loves hamsters and has been known to allow our hamster curl up in her fur or take some back to his cage for his nest.“

“Maggie is technically my mom’s dog. We do Maggie-sit often and she blends well with our family as well as my mom. Mom takes her out in public any chance she can. She loves going to Home Depot.“

“I'm a high energy huntress with a big heart. I love my human and I love , people , kids, attention and stinky treats. I am hesitant to meet other dogs right now and sometimes mistake cats for critters so it's best we keep our distance. I'm a sweet girl who is waiting on a fenced in yard of her own when my mom moves into her new house in August! Until then I love exploring secure fenced yards on sniff spot!“

“I am a cattle dog mix and I like to herd. I love to wrestle my brother Chance. I like to walk but I'm not a runner. I love water though.“
— Pamela N.
“This girl loves the off-leash freedom and feeling like she can just RUN AWAY! Recall? Is there such a thing? She’s a seasoned foster-sister for dogs looking for new homes, but prefers a calm and controlled first meet-up where she can assess. She loves puppies, especially those willing to wrestle and play! Shes loves all humans; boys, girls, young, old, big, and little. She has no preference as long as she’s getting attention.“
— Lauren G.
“I love to swim and play. I am a senior and my joints get stiff but that doesn’t stop me. I prefer the beach but that requires a day trip from where we live. My dad spoils the heck out of me, and that might be an understatement. I don’t mind though.“
— Fausto V.
“Hi, I’m Maggie! I’m a German Shepherd mix, currently being fostered after spending time on the streets and in a shelter. I can be a little reactive sometimes, so patience and slow introductions help. Once we get past that, I’m sweet and loyal, and I love making new friends. My housemate Nemo and I get along great too. Looking forward to meeting you!“

“Hi my name is Maggie. I am a super energetic Cavalier who loves to play with anything that can fly. If you can throw it I will find it. I love to splash in the water and swim around. Sometimes I am fully dried but rub myself on a towel like I been swimming for days. My mommy tells me that I need to relax sometimes because she says that I have a bad spine but that won’t stop me from living my best life everyday!!“
— Eileen T.
“fun, fun, fun, zoom Zoom zoom! I am the queen of the BALL. I am very social and playful, on a leash I can be reactive sometimes especially if I'm surprised. But I'm a big sweetie and a typical goofy boxer girl.“
