“I'm a shelter mutt who was lucky enough to be rescued by Brampton Animal Services before I was even born. I was born in the shelter and came home to my family at 10 weeks old. I have a bionic hip and I'm just thrilled to be alive. I get along with everyone, dog or person and I'm very social. I do get pretty excited to meet my human friends and have trouble keeping all 4 paws on the floor when I meet you, but at nearly 4 years old, I'm settling down a lot. I've never met a dog I don't get along with, but my favourites are ones who match my high energy level. I am also great at meeting small and lower energy dogs where they're at. I am very vocal. I have webbed feet and definite Lab lineage, but I'm not too sure about water. If a friend is going in, I may join, but it's not usually my idea. I'm a bit uncoordinated and may have some mild neurological side effects from my mother suffering neglect, but I don't let that stop me. My puppy-like run charms everyone. If I'm a knife in the drawer, I'm definitely the butter knife, because I'm not the sharpest one and I really, REALLY like butter.“
— Denielle B.

“She's been super quick to catch on to obedience training and loves to run and unstuff toys. But she has had a lot of anxiety since we brought her home so we've been slowly trying to help that with safe socializing in new situations and building her confidence.“

— Jim T.
“Nugget is the sweetest girl! She wants to meet and play with anyone and everyone, and she can hold her own with dogs three times her size. She is happiest rolling around in the grass in the sun!“
— Garron A.
“I’m a rescue that has learned to love cuddles, soft beds, and treats! I still have some reactive tendencies to people and other dogs, but it’s mainly because I want to keep mom and sister safe. My favorite past times are stealing mom’s shoes and belly rubs during movies. Outside, I love to explore and dig for mole rats!“
— Ashley S.

“Hi my name is Nugget, or Nug Bug as one of my mom's call me. I am an absolute cuddle bug who loves to run around occasionally. Being stretched out on the couch though is my favorite. I am very shy and skittish at first meeting people or dogs due to my traumatic past but once I love you I will never stop.“
