About dogs named Penelope

The following are 30 profiles of dogs named Penelope from our database of 222 dogs with the name Penelope.

  • “I'm Penny the poodle. I am a pretty agreeable dog. I like to be with people, but I'm not especially affectionate. I like to go on walks, jump, and do tricks to earn snacks. Somebody at my house sometimes steals food from the counters when no one else is looking, but there is no proof that it was me! My life's ambition is to catch a rabbit.“

    — Carol L.

  • “Penny is a shitzu heeler mix. She’s a goofball who loves people but can be picky about other dogs. We adopted her from Bounce animal rescue as a puppy.“

    — Maggie V.

  • “she’s a very friendly girl she loves everybody but she’s very reactive to other dogs and animals“

    — nevaeh w.

  • “Our old lady. Found her as a stray May 2025 and ended up being the family member we were missing. She’s a cranky old lady“

    — Hannah E.

  • “Penelope is a friendly, energetic and social gal. She does well with other dogs off leash but can have some tendencies towards leash reactivity.“

    — Abby S.

  • “Penelope is an anxious dog who has an issue with getting along with other dogs, due to an incident that happened to her when she was a little pup from another dog trying to attack her. She can be timid, unless there is an unfamiliar dog or person around then she gets all stirred up she is preferred to be alone or just with her pup friends leia or Izzy. Penelope also gets called many names Noodles or Poochie or poochifer. She won’t face my aunts new dog she turns away and then I can feel her heart pounding and I don’t want to overly stress her out when she starts shaking. She hates loud noises as well. She does well with adults with bribery only people cannot run at her unless they’re familiar she also is a herding breed so she will think you’re a sheep. She can be very kind but she can also be very jealous, she’s a very particular kind of dog she will not let you close unless you have something that smells good and I would only let her go up to adults with her gentle leader, and if I give them a treat she will only like random people if they have something fattening or smells really good. Penelope’s preferred private parks would have to be with no other dog off leash in the same vicinity preferably all fenced in so she can’t interact with others dogs and no other dogs allowed in the same fenced in spot as her due to it would not be good for her.“

  • “Hi! I’m Penelope, a young English Sheepdog/Heeler mix and a future service dog in training! 💕 I’m still a puppy, so I’m working hard on my manners, confidence, and learning how to be calm and focused in new places. I’m friendly, playful, curious, and very smart. I love sniffing, exploring, learning new things, and making new dog friends. I’m still learning how big I am compared to smaller dogs, so I do best with friendly, tolerant dogs who enjoy puppy play and humans who can help me take breaks when I get too excited. I’m here to practice: 🐾 Appropriate doggy play 🐾 Recall & check-ins 🐾 Loose-leash walking 🐾 Ignoring distractions 🐾 Exploring new surfaces and environments 🐾 Confidence and calmness 🐾 Learning when it’s time to play and when it’s time to settle I’m still a baby, so my humans are helping me learn at my own pace. **Supervision and positive interactions are important to me!** I’d love to meet some friendly pups who can help me become the best-behaved service dog I can be. 💕🐕‍🦺 — Penelope 🐾“

  • “Adorable and shy 15 month old pug is looking for a calm and sweet playmate. I like to fetch my "crazy" balls, play tug o war war, run and chase. I also like to just chill and relax with my moms.“

    — Anastasia A.

  • “Penelope is full of energy, she’s loves tug of war and chase the most. She is a husky and American bully mix weighing about 75lbs. She is a bit ditzy as she’s not great with spatial awareness and has the occasional tendency to accidentally body slam herself into people and objects while playing/running 😅“

    — Kara B.

  • “Full of energy, loves people, hiking and walking trails. She loves trails and sniffing, does well with verbal commands, recall and thrives being able to be off leash. Enjoys water. She is a cancer survivor, had a thyroid carcinoma removed from her throat in 2024 and requires regular throat ultrasounds and chest X-rays for spread. She’s been given around 24 mos and so far no regrowth so we are hoping for many more years!“

    — Stacy B.

  • “She’s loving and needy dog for loving pets and scratches. She was attacked at a dog park and has been reactive since. She’s improved but still not the same ole’ dog she once was. We still love her!“

    — TAWNI T.

  • “I love to roam free! Chasing balls my mom throws is my favorite while my brother sniffs around“

    — Loren H.

  • “Love running, jumping, playing, and sniffing around! Reactive so normally my adventures are just me and my sister!“

    — Leah E.

  • “Hi!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That’s what I want to tell everyone and everything the second I notice them (I’m reactive but working on it).“

    — nicole j.

  • “I love to play fetch. I am not very fond of other dogs I bark and growl at them. If there is a chain link fence between us I would love to run and play along the fence.“

    — Lynette K.
