“I love my car rides. Sometimes my owners get mad at me because I love to eat everything I find on the floor. But I love to eat especially if it’s stinky. I know my brother loves to play with me but to tell you the truth he is annoying.“
— Heidi C.
“Hi, I’m Pippi! I’m smart, full of beans, and just a tiny bit of a menace (in the most charming way, obviously). I love meeting people, splashing in water, chasing balls and sticks, and wrestling with my dog buddies. If there’s fun to be had, I’m in. If there’s nonsense to be made, I’m probably the one who started it. Life’s too short to behave all the time!“
— Karen F.

“My name is Pippi and I am the nosiest creep you’ll ever meet! Sniffing and staring at people and other creatures doing stuff are my main activities, but I can be convinced to chase a ball from time to time. I grew up in a really scary place with a really scary man who did very mean things to me, but life with my mama is peaceful and nice and full of great stuff like hikes and snacks and naps and visits to sniffspots, of course! I’m nosy but nervous, curious but cautious, and totally obsessed with cats and other dogs, even the ones that don’t want anything to do with me 🙈“
— Megan A.
“I am an anxious girl. I was a puppy in Tennessee during the beginning of the pandemic and did not get socialized at all, so most new things and strange noises scare me. I'm getting lots of help since I've been with my new people since 8/22 and they have been teaching me to have confidence, but I'm still frequently worried. I'm smart and have a really good recall. I even came right away the other day after there was a deer inside our fenced yard and I got to chase him away! I never really learned how to play, so I don't care to chase a ball or a Frisbee or tug on a tug toy. I don't know what my person wants when she sticks those weird objects in my face. I will chew a Nylabone though. Much as I am wary of humans, I *love* other dogs. The foster family I lived with for a year had 8 other dogs and 9 cats, so I have great social skills.“
