“Rook is a kind dog once he gets comfortable and someone gives him the chance. He loves to run and be chased. While he plays, he does let out a playful growl but doesn’t mean anything by it, he may nibble but has never drawn blood. He was adopted and we believe he was abused by a man, so he is hesitant with some older men. He is good with kids, he is excited to meet them. He is an anxious dog, so he will be more scared of you than you are of him!“

“I’m a spunky pup with plenty of sweetness to go around! I’m pretty rare as a French water dog/Barbet (and no I’m not a doodle, even though I look like one)! I love peanut butter and climbing on playgrounds! I am an excellent swimmer, and it’s one of my favorite activities.“
— Abbie Q.
“Rook is a beautiful mix breed street dog from India. He has a neurological disorder called snapping fly syndrome which causes seizers so running and playing in large spaces helps put his mind at ease. Due to his neurological disorder he’s quite nervous and reactive.“
— Kristin E.
“I am the goofiest, most fun-loving pup! I LOVE zoomies and chasing toys, jumping and rolling. My favorite toy is a super long stuffed snake that I attempt to whip my mom in the legs with.“
— Olivia L.
“Like any good corgi, Rook is a bossy little dude. He loves his people, but he might love herding our other dogs (especially Mage) even more! He's silly, and made of rubber, with very little spacial awareness. His jello-y joints must come in handy for all the stuff he runs into!“

“My name is Rook, but dad calls me Rookie! I love people (especially women!) more than anything. I'm 17 pound of energy and we don't have a yard, so dad uses Sniffspot to let me run.“
— Ace W.
“I love water! And playing with Dad. I’m growing quick and have plenty of energy, but I’m a pretty happy, easygoing pup. I’m curious about everything, though I like to check things out before diving in. Dad and I are learning a lot together. He’s really interested in training me, and I’m learning—but we’ve still got plenty to work on. I’m only 6 months old, after all!“

“The first 3 months of Rook’s life were a bit scary for him, but now that he’s spent another 3 months in a home with a human dedicated to his training, socialization and quality of life, he’s really become a great young dog. So far he has shown to have all the best traits of the breeds in his blood line. He’s loving yet aloof (no signs of separation issues). He’ll retrieve a ball then heard it. He pays with humans, dogs or even just by himself. He’ll sit and watch everything going on around him. He is incredibly smart, but also loyal. He absolutely LOVES water, but hasn’t gone swimming yet. He loves to be outside, unless it’s hot out. Hiking in a quiet forest or along a mountain rang is his 2nd happy place. His 1st happy place is hanging out with his best friend Gambit (Siberian Husky). He has been nothing but happy and playful towards meeting other dogs, but doesn’t yet have good control over his excitement and energy level. Because of this, interactions with small and senior dogs are kept in leash and under supervision. Rook would love to have more playmates in his world for Sniff Spot visits, walks and hikes.“

“I am a big floofy monster who loves people but has had a few really bad experiences with other dogs. I’m working to get better again but until then I need a safe space to play without other dogs nearby.“
— Frankie J.
“Hi All! I'm Rook, aka Little Dude. I was rescued by my family on Christmas Eve from a kill shelter in Texas and flown up here when I was only 9 months old. Man did I get lucky with this pack! I love them all and they love me! My best friend is Simon. He's bigger than I am but we can play and play and have the best time. I can't wait to run free in the Sniffspot yards! See ya soon!!“
