“1.5 year old pup that’s smart, social, goofy, stubborn, and quite adventurous but with a dash of anxiety and ADHD just like mom…“
— Ainsley K.
“A muppet mix, the mystery from KY herself. Scully is a goofy, fun rescue that’s learning all the ropes of being a good city dog.“
— Alexandra D.
“Scully is a red lab from search and rescue lines so she is very energetic, smart, and independent when out, but at home is a sweet and sensitive little girl.“
— Sylvia C.
“An sweet, anxious girl who loves to run around, but is iffy/reactive when it comes to other dogs and sometimes kiddos. She wants to play but doesn’t seem to know how!“
— Sarah & Virginia W.
“I'm an affectionate, spunky, clever small rescued dog. I love everyone I meet and am very excited to meet new dogs. I love to run outside but my human worries about me running off because I love to follow my nose and chase squirrels.“
— Jasmine C.
“The problem child and proud of it. Scully is a country girl at heart who was raised on a farm as a free roaming gal. She's hesitant around dogs other than her sister, and loves getting to run free without the stress of a public dog park. 13 years old and can still out run the fastest greyhound.“
— Caity M.
“Scully is our “pandemic puppy” and she’s got a big personality and lots of sweetness. She’s funny and smart and loves her moms and her big sister, Ripley. But most of all she loves her brother and best friend, Coyote. She’s working on her training but picks things up super fast. She’s definitely a little teenager right now who is learning her independence but she still loves to snuggle with us all evening.“
— Shannon B.
“Scully is an Australian Cattle Dog who I adopted from Whatcom Humane Society in 2015 and approximately 7 years old. She is quite reactive toward other dogs in a very vocal way which makes urban walks where we live stressful for me, her and other dogs/owners. Public offleash Dog parks are out of the question. She is very sweet toward other humans however. I just want her to enjoy the outdoors and exercise offleash without having to be worried.“
— Quinn L.
“Scully comes on a little strong and still needs to be reminded of her manners, but she’s highly social, curious, and always ready for trying out a new adventure! She is dying to interact with dogs and other people. Her favorite activities include prancing like a gazelle somewhere in a field, going on walks in the woods and exploring w a friend, and playing fetch when she’s not too distracted or overwhelmed by the world. We are working on swimming as she enjoys puddles, sprinklers and rain. Hoping to bring out the water dog instincts a little more.“
— Amanda S.
“I’m Scully! One day you will all know my name! My parents found me while I was contemplating my next mission (they will say “wandering the streets of NorCal after being abandoned”) and have been thwarting my attempts to escape and continue my important work ever since. I have goals, ambitions, SCHEMES! Someday they will see. Likes: snacks, dinner, grass, things on the ground that might be snacks, chewing on my sister, mom, grandpa, dad, all humans especially the small ones, my aunties, frisbees, destruction, sunshine. Dislikes: being alone, my sister, cats, baths, water of any kind, my current entrapment, puppies who don’t know their place, those weird dogs who can’t breathe.“
— Angelica G.
“Scully is a senior dog living out her retirement days finally in a stable home. She was found at around 1 year old with a litter of puppies in Delaware, and made her way to the York SPCA, where she was adopted by her first owner. Sadly, he passed in 2019, and scully would bounce between homes for several years before landing at Helen O. Krause, a rescue in Dillsburg, PA. After several returns and wrong fit applicants, we were able to give scully a home and stability, FINALLY. She is still getting used to this, day after day, and it is not without challenges. But we are determined to give her the best sunset years we can.“
