“tux is a staffy mix who is about 1.5 years old. I originally got him as a foster but ended up keeping him. he is ecollar trained and has very good recall. there’s been a few times we have been “attacked” by other dogs so we are seeking a more “private experience” every once and awhile. he is a sweet heart but also a nervous wreck at times due to his past. he loves all female dogs and humans but needs a second with both dog and human males. overall he’s amazing dog and loves to explore !“

“Hi, I'm Tux, a Golden Retriever/Australian Shepherd mix...although, I'm more Golden than Australian. I spent the first couple of years of my life pretty isolated because my family didn't have time for me so I missed out on being around people and other dogs. They eventually dropped me off at a shelter in Birmingham Alabama in hopes I'd be adopted by a great family. And guess what, I was. This couple from Houston saw me online and thought I looked very charming. They drove to Alabama to meet me and we feel in love with each other instantly. It was written in the stars. Now, I have my very own coach, a play pen, I get to sleep in their bed whenever I want, I get tons of treats and belly rubs, we go on adventures every week, and I'm the only kid they have. The world is such an amazing place and I'm loving every minute of it. My one bad trait is that I get very jealous when other dogs get close to my people because I don't want to lose them so I might be mean, aggressive and overly protective. However, other than that, I'm super nice and lovable. My most favorite thing in the world are sprinklers. I love, love, love water sprinklers. When they turn on in our backyard, the yard becomes an instant water park. Unfortunately, I've broken several sprinkler heads so I can't go outside anymore while the sprinklers are on, I can only watch them through the windows. My 2nd favorite thing is to fetch. I'll fetch anything you throw and will return it to you. Nothing gets away from me. So, I hope you've learned a lot about me. One day, I hope I learn a lot about you.“
— Yolonda K.
“Rescued him in 2022, he’s the sweetest dog and biggest baby ever but is also reactive. We’re working on it though :)“
— Camila R.
