Camp Dilly Dally Doggie Park In Buckley

Partially Fenced
5 acres

We offer five acres of partially mowed fields and a natural wooded area. There is a small spring-fed pond and access to South Prairie Creek. Since the creek has a variable current, it may be best for larger dogs. The pond is ideal for smaller dogs who aren't strong swimmers. There are some logs and rocks to step over so sturdy shoes are recommended. We make a constant effort to subdue the blackberries but you may encounter strong-willed vines. Please avoid the dead tree area. There is a shed with supplies where you park.

Pig Beach (near Port Ludlow)

Fully Fenced
0.63 acres

A .63 acre dog sanctuary for you and your pup. The yard is well maintained with dog friendly grass and has incredible views of the Hood Canal and Puget Sound. If you're interested, there is private beach access for you and your pup to explore miles of beach (public but almost always empty). There are numerous dog toys available and a massive 6+ person, dog friendly couch (late Spring to early Fall) you can relax on and watch the canal when you need a break! Regarding the beach, there are approximately 50 steps which you will need to climb up and down to access the beach so please wear proper footwear. As this is on the Hood Canal and not a lake or a pond, tides impact the size of the beach. If you are hoping to walk endless miles of beach, the tide will need to be at 2ft or below. Anything under 4ft will give you a massive area (probably 1/2 mile or more) and almost guaranteed private area as only people with stairs can access the beach at this tide level. Though the beach is open at any point, I think the maximum height you would probably want to go is about 6.5ft. This still gives you and your dog a decent sized area to play in (approximately 500ft by 30ft or 1/2 acre). Photos 16 and 17 show the beach at 6.25ft with a very large sandy area for you and your pup to play in. Anything above 6.5 ft is not recommended as the beach just gets thinner and thinner, but you're able to try if you want. (no refunds given if you don't like what you find). With that said, a 8 ft tide still gives you approximately 20 feet x 300 feet of beach to roam so you pup still has some room to explore and 9ft is approximately 10 feet x 30 feet. You are responsible for checking out the tides before you go. Legally, I can't recommend any specific source for you to use, but you might find good information Googling "tide chart port ludlow". Regarding ADA Accessibility, my property is on a gently sloping hill. To access it, there are 2 very wide concrete steps to get to the grass. This would be doable for someone on crutches and probably ok for a regular wheelchair if you had a second person to help lower you to each step and pull you up. It's definitely not accessible to a motorized wheelchair. Sorry. Note - restroom is only available if I'm home, otherwise there is one approximately 2 miles northwest at the gas station in Port Ludlow

55We took our beloved dog, Delilah, to Todd's place for what was sadly her last best day ever. The property was absolutely perfect - spacious, well-maintained, and with plenty of interesting scents and sights to explore. Delilah had the time of her life roaming freely and sniffing to her heart's content in this safe, private setting. It gave us such joy to see her so happy and carefree one final time. ♥️ We're so grateful to Todd for providing this special oasis that allowed Delilah to enjoy her favorite activities right up until the end. This place will always hold a cherished memory for us. We give it our highest recommendation for any dog looking to have the ultimate sniff adventure.

55This spot offered everything we and our furry buddy enjoy - water, short grass for fetch, tall grass for retrieve, and space for happy free running! It’s located in a picturesque and quiet setting. Definitely worth the drive from Seattle! Todd, the host, was friendly and generously extended our reservation with a little extra time since there was a buffer between us and the next folks.

There was music playing in the barn when we walked up and dogs in a nearby kennel left of the gate, but they were very quiet and well behaved! The creek area was a blast. What a beautiful property. I was glad I wore boots because it is wet and muddy! Lots of balls, Chuck-it’s and clean water to drink. Dogs had the best day ever. We’ll definitely be back.

555 stars because this is a really nice and unique spot, but it wasn’t a good match for my dogs. The horses are very far away on the other side of a fenceline, but one of my dogs wasn’t able to focus on anything else once he caught their scent. There was a barking dog in the horse area too. There’s tall grass and blackberries along that fence, and it took me a few minutes to find my dog when he disappeared into the grass. Parts of that fence didn’t look super secure to me, so I ended up keeping my dog on a long lead on the other side of the spot for the duration of our visit. Another fenceline is right up against a gravel road, and one of my dogs was very reactive to every vehicle that drove by. The setup of the spot is really neat and the creek is a great feature for water-loving pups who don’t mind the horses and traffic.

5 stars because this is a really nice and unique spot, but it wasn’t a good match for my dogs. The horses are very far away on the other side of a fenceline, but one of my dogs wasn’t able to focus on anything else once he caught their scent. There was a barking dog in the horse area too. 55Our dogs had a great time. Even today's temperature was about 30 degree F, one of our dogs enjoyed jumping into the water. They got muddy, which we expected. So definitely bring towels and recommend to wear rain boots or something like that.

55My boys loved this spot! They loved the spots that were a little muddy, and they loved the creek! Lots of running which was the goal, as well as being all dirty. Definitely safe all around with the fencing and they enjoyed themselves as they sniffed all around. The humans enjoyed seeing the pups so happy and will be back!

55Trippers place is full of surprises. So much space for the dogs to run and swim. All the amenities for human comfort too. I could sit there all day and watch for the salmon swimming by in the creek, or the eagles, flying by overhead so much to look at and explore.

Frequently asked questions about Burien dog beaches

What do private dog beaches in Burien offer that public parks don't?

Private dog beaches in Burien offer complete privacy (no other dogs), specialized environments for swimming and beach activities, professionally maintained cleanliness, flexible 24/7 scheduling, and safe spaces for all temperaments—puppies, seniors, small dogs, reactive dogs, or any pup needing accommodations. Public dog parks in Burien can't guarantee any of this. With 11 options, you get predictable, controlled environments perfect for your dog's specific needs.

Can I find fully fenced private dog parks in Burien?

Yes! Most of Burien's 11 private dog parks are fully fenced. Use the "fully fenced" filter to find secure enclosures with detailed specs: height (4ft, 6ft, 8ft+), material (wood, chain-link, vinyl), and gap information. This is crucial for escape artists, puppies learning boundaries, reactive dogs needing contained space, or small dogs who might squeeze through. Burien listings include fencing photos so you can verify security.

When can puppies start visiting dog beaches in Burien?

Puppies can visit Burien dog beaches as early as 8-10 weeks with initial vaccinations, much earlier than the 16+ weeks needed for public park safety. This early, controlled socialization prevents fear and reactivity issues later. Plus, puppies can explore swimming and beach activities without being overwhelmed or learning bad behaviors from poorly socialized adult dogs. Many Burien trainers specifically use dog beaches for puppy development.

How do I find private dog beaches near me in Burien?

Browse Burien's 11 dog beaches on Sniffspot by entering your neighborhood or zip code. Filter by distance, then narrow by features: fully fenced, "fewer dogs seen/heard," specific amenities, terrain type, or size. Each Burien listing shows photos, reviews, exact location, and instant availability. Local favorite Ashley's 25 Acre Partially Fenced Private Dog Park In Duvall is particularly popular among Burien dog owners.

Can I rent dog beaches in Burien by the hour?

Yes! All 11 dog beaches in Burien are available for hourly rental. Most bookings are 1-2 hours, though you can reserve longer for training or events. Book instantly through Sniffspot, arrive during your time slot, and have complete privacy. Many Burien dog owners rent weekly for consistent, safe exercise.

What's the difference between Sniffspot dog beaches and public dog parks in Burien?

The biggest difference is privacy and control. Public dog parks in Burien mean sharing space with unknown dogs and owners. That means you can't control who shows up or how they behave. Sniffspot's 11 Burien dog beaches give you private bookings where only your dogs are present. You choose the time, the space, and the environment. Plus, your pup enjoys swimming and beach activities and maintained cleanliness that public parks can't guarantee.

Are there indoor dog beaches in Burien?

Yes! Burien has climate-controlled indoor dog beaches perfect for extreme weather, rainy days, or year-round exercise. Indoor Burien locations typically feature protective flooring, controlled temperatures, and enclosed environments. They're especially popular for puppy training, senior dogs, reactive dogs, or anyone wanting consistent access regardless of Burien weather. Filter by "indoor" to see options.

How do Burien dog beaches help with dog training?

Burien trainers love dog beaches because privacy eliminates distractions. Work on recall, practice water entry and exit practice, beach recall with distractions, or sand terrain conditioning, reinforce obedience, socialize puppies, or address reactivity without interruptions. For reactive dogs, train without trigger-stacking. For puppies, practice skills in controlled increments. For any dog, get focused training time in an environment specifically designed for swimming and beach activities.
