Shady, private, fully fenced yard in Burien - Lit at night!

The retaining wall in the middle of the yard provides an awesome opportunity for running and leaping on and off, making zoomies all the more fun! To the side, there is also a gentle slope perfect for dogs who would rather take it easy. Fully fenced with 6' cedar fencing, which means your dog won't see cars, people, or other dogs passing by once you're in the yard. No neighbor dogs bordering any side of the fence, which keeps it peaceful and lessens anxiety. 1 ball per dog, Chuck it, and poop bags are provided for your use. There is lighting under the magnolia tree and along the fences and buildings to help you enjoy your evening visit as the days get shorter. An umbrella and a headlamp are provided for your convenience if you need extra light to find balls or to clean up after your pup. Private, off-street parking for up to two vehicles is provided in the driveway for your convenience. Two camping chairs and a table are provided, so feel free to bring snacks and drinks to enjoy while your dogs run around (an additional 2 camping chairs can be provided upon advance request). **Temporary changes due to canine respiratory virus** One sanitized ball will be provided per dog; all other toys have been removed. Please leave this ball back by the steps at the end of your visit so we can remove it to be sanitized before the next guest. The chuck it will still be provided but we cannot guarantee it will be sanitized between every guest, please use at your own risk. Paper water bowls and a jug of water are now provided instead of a shared water bowl. Please toss your used water bowl in the trash bin in the driveway on your way out. Please do not bring your dog to visit if it is sick. *mid-February* Please pardon our mess as we make some landscaping upgrades! We will be open whenever it's safe for us to do so, but there may be some mess in the meantime as we complete this work.

*12/5/23* There is a LARGE amount of standing water (small lake) and puddles in the spot due to current flooding conditions. *fall/winter update* We have mud, please consider bringing a towel for your pup(s). During the month of October we host a pumpkin patch every weekend and must close the Sniffspot for everyone’s safety. If you are a member please contact us if you aren’t available during the week to use your time. Well socialized pups are always welcome at the patch. 🎃 We have various levels of flooding during the winter; the spot has is anticipated to have mud and large puddles. At times we may need to close the spot due to excessive flooding (no dry land!). Please reach out if you have questions about how much water is in the spot. Keep in mind we also have increased migratory waterfowl in the pasture adjacent. We have new neighbors at the west end of the pasture. Please be aware there may be construction during your visit, we apologize for any inconvenience. 1 acre of flat field in a beautiful setting. One large tree in the corner. Fully fenced approx 4.5’ with predator fencing (a very small dog may be able to get out). We have motion lights that come on at night, not super bright but makes the spot visible during early night winters. Boarded by two, large pastures, a private road with limited use and our barn. Occasionally during the wet months flocks of geese/ducks may land in the wetlands adjacent. We have goats and chickens but they are on the other side of the property and should not be seen/heard. We have a dog ‘Veles’ that will be on the other side of the property or in the house. There is a covered bench and trash can in the spot, fresh water is also available. An outdoor bathroom is available for use, see map. When using the bathroom please keep your pup in your car as it is near our goats and free range chickens. We look forward to hosting you and your pup! Please reach out if you have questions. -Jenn & Drew

Walter & Bug's Private Dog Park In Kent / Covington

Hello and welcome to our Sniffspot! We are new to being a Sniffspot host and we hope you enjoy your time here. It's a large, open one acre pasture with plenty of room to run and play. Tall fir trees, farmland and single family homes surround the property. There are neighbors who walk their dogs or play with their dogs in their yards. There are no shared fence-lines but we are noting this in case your dog might be reactive or sensitive to seeing and hearing other dogs and people. There are also chickens nearby - see note below. Double gated entrance for security. Park along the fence on the gravel drive. Plenty of room for your pup to enjoy the zoomies! A few things below to note, thank you! *🎾💦 For the toys and water bowls, we have labeled bins for 'clean' and 'dirty/used'. Please utilize items from the clean containers and then place in used/dirty so we can thoroughly clean them. Thank you! * 🥾The terrain of the pasture does have some dips and there is a section of mown grass, as well as a portion of longer pasture grass, and sticks from the fir trees. Wearing solid and/or waterproof shoes will help you navigate the land. *💡we have 4 sets of string lights on our fence, two small solar spotlights on the fence, and one large spotlight on the far power pole (motion sensor). It adds some brightness to the pasture for evening visitors. Note that since it is an acre lot, there is a portion of the pasture that is still quite dark once the sun is fully set. *🐓 There are three chickens on a neighboring fence line and the gate to their henhouse yard has a sign (don't let the chickens out, no matter what they say), as well as a secure gate latch plus bungee cord. They will stay on the far side of their yard, and hide under the shrub/tree cover so are usually not be visible from the Sniffspot pasture, but wanted to share in case this is bothersome to some pup guests. Our rooster, as well as neighborhood roosters, are regularly heard. *please note: this pasture was used for a month (June 2023) by our goats & chickens and so the dirt in areas may be infused with the flavor of goat. While we have cleaned much of it, it can still be tasty to some dogs so wanted you to be aware * due to the burn ban, wildland fires and the dryness of our land, we ask for no smoking on the property at this time, thank you

Great spot for sniffing and playing with an incredibly secure fence. My dog loved roaming around the various nooks and crannies of the yard. All of the different features of the lawn kept it very interesting! Also a bonus beautiful view of the sound for the humans.

Great shady spot! My pup loved jumping down over the terrace/rocks. Host had a filled water bowl, toys, and poop bags out for use. Two chairs and a table give a nice space for the humans to rest. Will definitely be back!

This Sniffspot is a new favorite! I’m so happy my dog, Sammy and I came. The host is extremely helpful, responsive and I genuinely felt safe and secure discussing the property with her. Being the owner to a reactive pup, I have to be super diligent about his surroundings and Kim was nothing short of responsible, reassuring and I’m so thankful to her providing her yard! The space was very clean, and well kept, I spent so much time with Sammy on the grass. The bit of slope allowed him to get a great workout. Will absolutely be coming again!

This is a lovely, shady spot! Comfy seating and a table under a beautiful tree for the humans, and lots of space to romp for doggos. We really appreciated the shaded water bowl and bucket o'toys! Bodhi the pup found some new favorites.

Very comfortable setting for my German Shepherds to have fun and stretch their legs a bit! Nice private setting made it easier for my youngest pup to have little to no anxiety and thus very little barking. My oldest didn’t bark at all letting me know She was very relaxed.

Having a reactive dog means busy public water spots on hot days are not an option. So thankful for this Sniffspot with a kiddie pool!!! My pup loved it! The yard was big enough for her to run, jump, and splash. My only regret is not booking it for a longer period of time! I will definitely be booking this spot again!

Yard was roomy and clean, and our dog, Fred, enjoyed the pool! Definitely bring a towel along with you if your dog likes water. 😊 Fred is reactive to other dogs, and this yard was private and secure. Great place for dog-reactive doggos. We’ll be back!

I booked this for a meet-up with a potential adopter of my foster dog - she was over from E Washington, and I was coming from Port Townsend. I knew on a sunny Saturday public parks would be crowded, with too many distractions, so I decided to give SniffSpot a try! Kim's place was great! Neat and tidy, a nice seating area (though we didn't use it), a nice size dog pool (which my dog DID enjoy!) - it was a perfect private location for an off-leash meet-and-greet! Would definitely book this again and recommend. Note: I thought I had ordered the pupsicles, and was disappointed not to find them. NO FAULT OF KIM'S!! This was a booking glitch - I had added it, but apparently when I changed the reservation from 1 hr to 1.5 hrs, the add-on dropped off. Again, this was an issue with the booking system, not Kim!! I mention it only as a heads-up for others. Thanks for a great visit, Kim!

This is a wonderful addition to the SniffSpot community! Today was our second visit, and we had an excellent time. The space is clean, comfortable (including really nice seating for those of us humans who aren’t 20 and whose knees can’t deal with lawn chairs that are low-slung or rickety), and large enough for fetch and zoomies. The fencing is private, solid, and high enough for large dogs. There is lots of shade from mature trees, which my heat-intolerant husky girl really appreciates. The pool is fantastic. (The water looks a little murky in the photos, but that’s because my girl was hopping in and out and washing toys in it. It was crystal clear when we arrived). Parking and access are effortless. My pup and I are very grateful for this new place.

Our dogs had a blast taking in all the smells and then chasing some tennis balls. The yard had great shade and was clean. We will definitely be brining our dogs back to have a change of scenery.
