Camp Dilly Dally Doggie Park In Buckley

Partially Fenced
5 acres

We offer five acres of partially mowed fields and a natural wooded area. There is a small spring-fed pond and access to South Prairie Creek. Since the creek has a variable current, it may be best for larger dogs. The pond is ideal for smaller dogs who aren't strong swimmers. There are some logs and rocks to step over so sturdy shoes are recommended. We make a constant effort to subdue the blackberries but you may encounter strong-willed vines. Please avoid the dead tree area. There is a shed with supplies where you park.

Pig Beach (near Port Ludlow)

Fully Fenced
0.63 acres

A .63 acre dog sanctuary for you and your pup. The yard is well maintained with dog friendly grass and has incredible views of the Hood Canal and Puget Sound. If you're interested, there is private beach access for you and your pup to explore miles of beach (public but almost always empty). There are numerous dog toys available and a massive 6+ person, dog friendly couch (late Spring to early Fall) you can relax on and watch the canal when you need a break! Regarding the beach, there are approximately 50 steps which you will need to climb up and down to access the beach so please wear proper footwear. As this is on the Hood Canal and not a lake or a pond, tides impact the size of the beach. If you are hoping to walk endless miles of beach, the tide will need to be at 2ft or below. Anything under 4ft will give you a massive area (probably 1/2 mile or more) and almost guaranteed private area as only people with stairs can access the beach at this tide level. Though the beach is open at any point, I think the maximum height you would probably want to go is about 6.5ft. This still gives you and your dog a decent sized area to play in (approximately 500ft by 30ft or 1/2 acre). Photos 16 and 17 show the beach at 6.25ft with a very large sandy area for you and your pup to play in. Anything above 6.5 ft is not recommended as the beach just gets thinner and thinner, but you're able to try if you want. (no refunds given if you don't like what you find). With that said, a 8 ft tide still gives you approximately 20 feet x 300 feet of beach to roam so you pup still has some room to explore and 9ft is approximately 10 feet x 30 feet. You are responsible for checking out the tides before you go. Legally, I can't recommend any specific source for you to use, but you might find good information Googling "tide chart port ludlow". Regarding ADA Accessibility, my property is on a gently sloping hill. To access it, there are 2 very wide concrete steps to get to the grass. This would be doable for someone on crutches and probably ok for a regular wheelchair if you had a second person to help lower you to each step and pull you up. It's definitely not accessible to a motorized wheelchair. Sorry. Note - restroom is only available if I'm home, otherwise there is one approximately 2 miles northwest at the gas station in Port Ludlow

55This was our first but hopefully not last visit. It took us a minute to figure out that the sniff spot is really the lower field, and our dog was distracted by all the stuff in the upper area; would suggest maybe leashing distractible dogs through there since there are some potential hazards.

Tons of open space and little side trails to explore, and the creek is awesome - my dog had a great time playing with a ball in and out of the water, and took some time to enjoy the sun, too. We will definitely be back, and I'll have to bring a friend for her to play with, it would be a fabulous place for dogs to play chase!

The covered area was great had a radio out there power to charge phones if needed. Just a great spot! Sugar loved it we will absolutely return to this spot again! Next time I’ll need to pick up some fresh eggs- didn’t see the sign until we were pulling out.

Frequently asked questions about Central District dog beaches

Where can I find dog beaches in Central District?

Central District has 11 private dog beaches available through Sniffspot, offering swimming and beach activities in completely private settings. These locations range from compact spaces to properties spanning 25+ acres. Whether you need a space for your reactive dog, puppy socialization, senior dog gentle exercise, or high-energy play, Central District dog beaches provide safe, private environments. Filter for "fewer dogs seen/heard," specific amenities, or fencing types to find your perfect match.

How many dog beaches are in Central District?

Central District offers 11 dog beaches ranging from compact spaces to properties spanning acres. You'll find options such as dog water park, dog swimming pool, dog field, and more. Each Central District dog beach listing shows detailed photos, amenities, fencing specs, and reviews from local dog owners.

Are Central District dog beaches good for all dog types?

Yes! Central District dog beaches work for every dog: puppies learning socialization, senior dogs needing gentle exercise, small dogs who feel safer without large breeds, high-energy dogs requiring space, and reactive or anxious dogs needing privacy. The completely private bookings mean each dog gets the environment they need. Browse Central District's 11 options to find spaces matching your dog's specific temperament and needs.

Will I encounter other dogs at Central District dog beaches?

Not a chance. Central District dog beaches operate on a strict one-booking-at-a-time system, so the space is entirely yours during your reserved slot. Host dogs are kept away, and there's a mandatory 30-minute buffer between bookings—meaning you won't cross paths with the previous or next guest. For Central District owners with reactive dogs, puppies, or any dog needing privacy, this makes all the difference in providing safe, stress-free exercise.

Are Central District dog beaches safe for fearful or anxious dogs?

Yes! Central District dog beaches provide controlled, predictable environments without the chaos of public dog parks. Since bookings are completely private with 30-minute buffers, anxious dogs can explore a waterfront area where dogs can swim, play in sand, and enjoy beach activities off-leash without overwhelming encounters. Many Central District dog owners specifically choose dog beaches for fearful dogs who need gentle, stress-free exercise environments.

Can puppies use Central District dog beaches?

Absolutely! Central District dog beaches are excellent for puppy socialization because they're private and controlled. Puppies can explore a waterfront area where dogs can swim, play in sand, and enjoy beach activities off-leash, practice recall, and build confidence without the overwhelming chaos that can create fear or reactivity in young dogs. Just ensure your puppy has age-appropriate vaccinations before visiting.

How do I choose the best dog beach in Central District?

Start by filtering Central District's 11 dog beaches for your specific needs: secure fencing for escape artists, "fewer dogs seen/heard" for reactive dogs, flat terrain for seniors, appropriate sizing for small dogs, or specific amenities for training. Look for "Top Spots" like Central District's Ashley's 25 Acre Partially Fenced Private Dog Park In Duvall with excellent reviews.Read feedback from other Central District owners with similar dog types to find your perfect match.

What are Central District's dog beach requirements?

All dogs must have basic vaccinations or titers. Each Central District host may have additional rules on their listing. Most dog beaches welcome all breeds, sizes, and temperament levels, including reactive dogs who can't safely visit public dog parks. Adult supervision is required at all times.
