Bacon & Eggs 30 Acre Farm & Private Forest Trail - Oregon City

Partially Fenced
10 acres

We offer a dedicated 10 acre sloped pasture for walking, running, ball play, etc. also a trail hike through the woods up to a mile. (Be aware of uneven ground and blackberries; some thorns in mulch). The 30-acre property is fenced and isolated private space. The gate to the road is open for access but a good distance from the fields (so not closed while visiting.). The farm is a working farm so you may see workers and equipment away from the dedicated dog areas. Yes, part of our property has neighbors along the trail but fencing is in place and neighbors are seldom around. Water for dogs, trash can for baggies, picnic table and dog toys are provided. There are livestock fenced off from the trail, and some electric & electric mesh fences are in use.

Tail Waggers private dog park

Unfenced
15 acres

Your attendance has allowed us to continue development of our Disney Land for dogs and being a contributor to the Portland Humane Society. Toward that end this is what we have to offer at present with more to come. Two main walking trails, with two offshoot trail loops at present. Signage is there at each to help you in and out of each. Each has a selection of walking sticks at the trailhead, should you choose to use them. Appropriate good grip footwear is recommended especially during our monsoon season. Trail one, the shorter of the two, is about 25 minutes give or take, and takes a degree of dexterity more than trail too. Trail two contains two loops trails that take 30 to 45 minutes there and back to the parking area. The trail has two rest areas to sit with umbrellas to keep the rain off when needed. Trail 2, loop two has large Vern plant areas like you may have seen in the Jurassic Park movies. There are (2) Two parking areas, one much larger for up to 25 cars to accommodate larger group events. A porta potty for your convenience. Multiple poop depots throughout the park with bag dispensers. Two water play areas one is shallow to help pups to acclimate comfortably to water play. The other is the larger man-made pond area. The larger pond area has a selection of small watercraft to help acclimate pups to being on the water with a parent. A large selection of different size lifejackets for parents and pups. Floatable toys for retrieval are nearby. A Muddy Paw Spa to clean pups and shoes before getting into the car. Included, are multiple towels to dry off your pup, and a close line to hang the wet towels on to dry off. For those concerned about blue green algae, a bulletin board showing a test kit that can be purchased through Amazon. Test takes 15 minutes, with 99% accuracy. Next to it is an area to post the initials of the tester, date, time, and results of the test for other guests to see. Any guest doing this will be given an extra 15 minutes to the end of their reservation time on us. Please let us know in advance if you decide to do the test. For reasons to detailed to get into now, there’s never been an issue with blue green algae at Tail Waggers. A comprehensive agility course with all the obstacles that you would see on the YouTube obstacle course events. Multiple toy stations. If on your visit, you would like to donate unused toys for other pups to enjoy that would certainly be appreciated. A long mowed area above the pond for long distance ball and frisbee retrieval. They’re also a few frisbee catchers there to practice frisbee throwing accuracy. Long, medium range and putter frisbees are provided. A 10 x 10 doggy dig sandbox for those pups to enjoy digging. A tug-of-war for those pups will enjoy a good tug. The picnic area has been expanded to accommodate pup, birthday parties, pup, groups, and family gatherings. For those bringing young children, a swingset. Solar lighting around trees, parking area and the porta potty will help to illuminate these areas when darkness falls. There are water dispensers with water bowls. There is another area being developed presently that will become an urban agility course.

Please reserve your time a minimum of an hour ahead of time. We are a working farm and can't always be checking the app. We have logging roads and fields open to dog owners. Enjoy our scenic 120-acre farm with your puppies. Please feel free to leave a review. The landscape is unmanicured and slightly wild with quail, rabbits, and deer frequenting the area daily. A new forest has been planted, and the baby trees we ask to be left at peace to grow. We might be out working somewhere else on the farm and hope to see the blackberries slowly diminish, making this place more hospitable every year.

Nehemiah lane dog farm

Unfenced
30 acres

The property includes 30 unfenced acres of tall grass, trees, and quiet trails. The main trail makes up the perimeter of the property. It is 1 mile long and you will need to traverse underneath the bridge to Accsess the second half. There is limited access to the Yamhill River on both sides of the bridge. Some areas will be swampy during the winter and spring, especially in the lower sections. Please be aware of common forest hazards such as blackberry bushes, poison oak, nettles, and the occasional downed tree. There are no homes, restrooms or residents on the property only neighbors and a small garden area. You are welcome to explore both sides of the bridge. While there are "No Trespassing" signs posted near it, they are only intended to discourage the local homeless community. During the summer and fall, feel free to enjoy the fruit growing throughout the property most of which is at the far NW end of the grass road near the entrance. Deer and a variety of birds also call this place home and are best left undisturbed. You will find a couple of chairs and a small table set out for you to enjoy a quiet moment or watch the sunset. Please be respectful of our neighbors and remember to pick up after yourself and your dogs. Much of the property is being reforested in partnership with the USDA. / NRCS and is intentionally wild. If you bring kids feel free to use the swings at your own risk. Have a great time, Joshua

55We really enjoyed this place. First, the big yard in the front is perfect if you want to play fetch and they have some agility equipment if you want to try something fun and new for your pup. Second, the trails are perfect for recall training if you’re wanting to let your pups off leash while hiking but they need practice. There’s fresh water provided as well as toy and towels. The trails can be a little steep in certain areas so just something to have in mind when you’re booking. My pups had a great time and got tired in 1hr.

55Frank really enjoyed the big space for playing with the ball and then exploring the trails and sniffing out all the great new things. I appreciated the setup. Easy to bring him in and out, water, towels and that there were dog bags in the field and out in the trails.

555+ stars for the trails! Love love love being able to hike around and know that my girl, who has nearly zero recall, can be offleash and still safely enclosed. However, heads up for the humans that it is very hilly and bumpy/holy -- but it made for good exercise for both of us. 🤣 3.5 stars for the front section with the agility course and water. There were a few deep holes that I was worried Tater's giraffe legs would go in while she was zooming after balls. And there's a kiddy pool for the water lovers, but there was gross water in it that Tater of course kept wanting to drink so we left a bit early. 🤦‍♀️ I'll definitely go back but we'll stay in the upper trails section.

55What a fun spot! My dog (and my kiddo) had a blast running the labyrinth of trails. The space was very well accommodated with water etc. Could hear neighborhood dogs in the distance but my dog, who is normally very reactive to barking, was caught up in the fun and unbothered by it. We will definitely come back!

55We really enjoyed our visit to The Trails, and in particular, the opportunity to have two different experiences in the same Sniffspot. We spent most of our time on the trails, but also enjoyed the opportunity to kick a ball around on the field. Our dog has poor recall but the space felt secure enough that it didn't cause (too) much worry. Our dog is highly reactive to people and other dogs, and for the first part of our visit there were several dogs and people visible and audible on another part of the property. Our dog noticed the activity, but there was sufficient distance that she was not triggered by it.

55This spot was awesome. It was huge and a perfect place to practice recall and get some steps in. There’s an another gate inside the gated area to access the trails section. In the front area there was a small pool that was filled, drinking water, an agility set up, toys and towels. There was also a couple stands around the area that had baggies. Jack stayed very clean and enjoyed the space to run.

If you do it right, you can get some good cardio in for yourself while your pup has a fabulous sniff time. It's a great place to work on recall, stay, heel, etc.

55We absolutely love this spot, my border collie had been before, but this was the first visit for my senior coonhound. She had the time of her life, and sniffed her hearts content, and pretended to be completely deaf instead of just hard of hearing as she wandered all over the place. The host is the sweetest and offered to change the pool water for us, but i knew my collie was just going to get it muddy again so I told her not to bother 😂. She also brought me a Chuckit when she saw how lame my tennis ball throwing game was, best host EVER. Can’t wait to come back again.

We absolutely love this spot, my border collie had been before, but this was the first visit for my senior coonhound. 55This is a great place to let your dog safely roam and to work on your off-leash commands. Peaceful location, lovely countryside, picnic table to sit at up on a hill in the shade. Easy parking and access. Also nice small grass field to work on skills and fetching. My dog was tired and mellow the rest of the day! We'll be back.
