20 Acre Unfenced Private Dog Park In Stem, NC

Unfenced
20 acres

Imagine Disneyland for your dog! We have 20 acres of open land, perfect for your furry friend to run and play. It's a secluded open-space forest where they can get plenty of exercise and even enjoy the nearby creek. I hope your pup enjoys this open forest as much as mine does! **Please be aware even though we try our best to maintain the fence between us and our neighbors property, there might be some new holes we have not had time to get to. It is recommended that your dog has good recall in case they get distracted by the neighbors’ horses or they are tempted to Go through a hole. PLEASE BE AWARE** This is a rural area, and it is possible that neighbors may occasionally be shooting on their property. While this does not happen often, I wanted to let you know this is a possibility.

Mimms's 25 Acre Partially Fenced Private Dog Park In Angier

Partially Fenced
25 acres

Hidden River Farm is a 40 plus acre paradise for humans and dogs. We opened our organic orchard 6 years ago and it operates annually from June to October. So we have decided to try to open it up for use year around if possible. We welcome folks to bring their dogs out to run, retrieve, train or just play for awhile to get the energy out. There is an abundance of land. We offer a picnic area with table and chairs. Both tables offer umbrellas for shade if needed. We have water spigots so that the dogs can have clean drinking water. We also are breeders of Champion Labrador Retrievers. We have chickens, ducks, donkeys, horse and more. We are a working farm that believes sharing is a great thing these days.

55We had a great time with our dog Drew. It took him some time to get used to the chickens, goats and rabbit but once we were past that, he had an amazing time. We didn't venture onto the non-fenced trails but the property we played in was great! Several areas with chairs and trails throughout. There were also areas without trails if your dog likes to venture off the trail, but still within the gate. If your dog is a jumper or is tall, the fencing around the property is great, just be aware that the top of the fence is barbed wire- roughly 4' off the ground. We didn't have any issues because our dog is smaller, but something to be aware of. 5 Stars, look forward to coming back!

55My dogs had so much fun, especially the younger one who loves to run. It was awesome knowing that even when she was out of sight she was safe due to the good fencing. The goats in their pen were mildly interesting, but she had never seen a chicken before and was fascinated watching them in their coop. Overall a great place for any dog to explore. I'll definitely be back!

55Our pup had a blast exploring this property and meeting the goats (through the fence). Lots of land to run on - half of it is fenced in but even the half not fenced in is isolated and has a trail marked on it so we were happy to use both. It rained recently so our pup also found a great mud pit to lay in. Excellent property!

55Wonderful location - so beautiful with wide open spaces, trails, trees, etc. Trails are clearly marked with lots of room to run. Plenty of great “sniff” areas that totally gave my dogs a workout. They loved looking at the goats and chickens and I loved the water stations. Our host was exceptional with communications and rescheduling due to a work conflict was easy. Can’t wait to bring my fur babies back here again.

Frequently asked questions about East Durham dog hiking trails

Why are private dog hiking trails better than public dog parks in East Durham?

Private dog hiking trails in East Durham eliminate major public park risks: unpredictable dog encounters that scare puppies, aggressive dogs that trigger reactive behavior, chaotic crowds that overwhelm seniors or small dogs, and disease transmission from dozens of unknown dogs. East Durham's 20 private dog hiking trails offer complete privacy, professionally maintained cleanliness, and controlled environments. Whether you have a fearful puppy, a reactive adult, a fragile senior, or simply want peace of mind, private bookings give you control.

How safe are East Durham dog hiking trails compared to public dog parks?

East Durham dog hiking trails are significantly safer than public facilities. Public dog parks risk: aggressive dogs, inattentive owners, disease transmission, overcrowding that triggers reactive behaviors or injuries. Private East Durham dog hiking trails eliminate these concerns—bookings are completely private, all guests have vaccinated dogs (or titers), and hosts maintain clean spaces. 93% of Sniffspot reviews are 5 stars.

Are East Durham dog hiking trails safe for reactive dogs?

East Durham owners of reactive dogs choose dog hiking trails because they offer safe, private environments for off-leash exercise without the triggers of public dog parks. Complete privacy means no unexpected dog encounters, no overwhelming chaos, no aggressive dogs. Reactive dogs can finally enjoy natural exploration and varied terrain while building confidence in a controlled setting. Many East Durham reactive dog owners say Sniffspot is their only safe exercise option.

Can anxious dogs safely use East Durham dog hiking trails?

Yes! East Durham dog hiking trails provide controlled environments perfect for anxious or fearful dogs. No other dogs means no triggers, no overwhelming situations. Anxious dogs can explore a natural outdoor path where dogs can explore varied terrain off-leash in a safe, private environment at their own pace without stress. Many East Durham dog hiking trails offer quiet, spacious settings ideal for building confidence in nervous dogs who struggle at chaotic public dog parks.

Are East Durham dog hiking trails good for small dogs?

Absolutely! Small dogs benefit enormously from East Durham dog hiking trails because they can explore without fear of being trampled or intimidated by larger breeds. Many small dog owners in East Durham avoid public parks entirely due to safety concerns—dog hiking trails eliminate that worry. Filter for appropriate sizing, secure fencing with no gaps, and hosts who understand petite pup needs.

Do East Durham dog hiking trails work for senior dogs?

Yes! Senior dogs thrive at East Durham dog hiking trails because they can move at their own pace without being knocked over by rambunctious puppies or young dogs. Look for East Durham dog hiking trails with flat terrain, easy access, shade, and smaller sizes if your senior has mobility limitations. The privacy means your older dog can rest when needed and enjoy gentle exercise without stress.

What do East Durham dog owners say about dog hiking trails?

Reviews of East Durham dog hiking trails consistently highlight: excellent privacy for all dog types, secure fencing that prevented escapes, clean and well-maintained spaces, responsive hosts, and safe environments for anxious, fearful, reactive, senior, and small dogs. Local favorite Country Fun Near Brier Creek is particularly praised in East Durham. Read reviews to see real experiences from East Durham dog owners with similar needs.

How clean and maintained are East Durham dog hiking trails?

East Durham hosts maintain their own dog hiking trails and take pride in providing excellent experiences. All guests must have vaccinated dogs (or titers). Many East Durham hosts provide poop bags, trash cans, and regular cleaning. Reviews highlight maintenance quality—browse East Durham dog hiking trail listings to see real feedback about cleanliness and upkeep.
