55This was our first time at this Sniffspot. The host was very communicative in advance of our visit and let me know the grass can be soft in some areas after rain, so it’s best to wear rain boots if it’s been rainy. I moved my visit up in advance of predicted rain and this was not as issue.
First off, the property is gorgeous and expansive. There is a smaller fenced area upon entry which opens to a very large fenced area bordered by trees in some parts. My dogs ran to their heart’s content (or in Odin’s case, sniffed to his heart’s content) and had an absolute blast.
There is a bin next to the gated pool (not included) that provides toys, towels, water, poop bags, etc. I was surprised to see a Norwex towel! Are you kidding me??? Norwex? 😍 IYKYK
Henry did discover a taller grassy area where he was having loads of fun. The joy on his face as he emerged was unsurpassed. My white dog turned half black (see photo) and had the time of his life doing it. All I could do is laugh. (It’s at a corner before the yard turns to an area with a trampoline.) The host has a hose by the hot tub so I rinsed him before leaving and then dried him with the provided towels.
All in all, it was a great visit. We loved the property and have added it to our list of favorites. We will definitely be back! Thank you to our host, Amy, for opening your yard to my city dweller dogs. The property is absolutely beautiful, clean and secure.
Side note: We went on a Friday afternoon. There must be a shooting range in the area as we heard these muffled pops off in the distance. It was not an issue for my dogs, though. Just mentioning for those with sound sensitive dogs. My Arnold isn’t a fan of fireworks but the noise did not bother him. Lisa S.

55Oh, how I love this place! It’s so vast and meticulously maintained. My dogs run their fastest fast at Amy’s, which is so nice to see. Although it’s largely a sunny property, there are so many trees and areas for shade that it’s never a problem to find a shady area when they want to take a breather. I love the giant weeping willow! I swear sometimes I think about booking several hours, bringing a lawn chair, a good book and the dogs. Henry always manages to find what I call the “mud pit” but if he’s happy, I’m happy. (This is how he’s earned the nickname Pigpen). A quick rinse with Amy’s hose and a towel dry with the towels she provides and he’s good to go. Did I mention she has a couple of Norwex towels in the bin? (If you know, you know) Amy also provides toys, bags, all the essentials.
When you first pull up the driveway, you might see some wild turkeys or wild cranes (we city dwellers are not used to this so it’s always exciting).
There is parking on-site. When you enter the property, there is a smaller fenced yard. There is then another gate to the super large area (where all the magic happens). My dogs have such a blast running the entire property. As I mentioned, there are plenty of shady areas. My dogs literally were exhausted after 20 minutes (not to worry, they caught their second wind).
We can’t wait to come back! Thanks, Amy, for opening your property to us! Sniffspot is the greatest thing ever and I love that there are property owners like yourself willing to share their properties. A big thanks from Arnold (the tall guy), Odin (the one-eyed boy) and Henry, also known as Pigpen. Lisa S.

FAQ about our Franklin dog parks
Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 97% of reviews on Sniffspot visits in the Franklin area are 5 stars.
How do I know if a dog park works for my dog?
You can filter Sniffspot dog parks by fencing and distractions. If your dog doesn't have good recall, you can visit one of our 139 fully fenced dog parks in the area. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our 16 off leash areas where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby. You can also filter locations to avoid other domestic animals and people. We also recommend reading reviews and reaching out to the host with any questions.
