Please do not turn on or use any water equipment on our property - we had some serious problems in the past because of this. Please clean up after your dog’s “business” - smile. That’s a serious and mandatory request. Poop bags are available in the plastic box with the other dog gear, but please bring your own backup supply just in case and do not leave the poop bags behind. BROWN garbage can is in the front of the house by the street for your convenience. Thank you! Woof woof! 🌸 Note: in the rainy season we might not change the water for dogs because it’s senseless. Welcome to the McCann "Ranch." Fully fenced former horse arena. This is the ideal private area for a dog to explore and let out some energy. The secure arena has a fence that has been reinforced with welded wire added to original arena fencing. Nothing can get through this fence. Large secure area for dogs to run and play. Hose water, chairs and shade available. Towels and rags are available for wet weather. Poop bags are also available, please clean up after your pet. No farm animals currently on the property but expecting goats soon. Goats will be separated by a secure fence. Neighboring property has horses but several fences exist between the nieghbors horses and arena area. It may be possible to smell the horses but unlikely to visibly see the neighboring horses. We have a dog who will be away at the house at all times you are here. The house is not near the sniffpost designated area. If you'd like our dog to play with yours please message us, otherwise we'll leave you be and you will have total privacy. Hi, We are closed at the moment due to illness Please note there is a large pile of soil/dirt in the driveway area. There is still plenty of room to park. Pups of all sizes enjoy this spot. Half acre property, fully fenced and gated, good privacy, lawn, pool, lounge chairs, table and chairs, flower gardens, redwood trees, olive trees, persimmon trees, meditation garden, hummingbirds, and even a red fire hydrant. Optional pool access for people can be purchased as an Extra, by the hour and by the person. The pool is unheated except by the sun/air. We love all dogs and welcome dogs of all shapes and sizes and hair types to visit; however we can only offer pool access for non-shedding pups, as long hair and fur was unfortunately causing damage to the pool equipment; If you are booking for more than one non-shedding dog swimming or for longer than an hour, please message us with info about your dog(s) and we will create an extra for you for the number of dogs you have swimming. Most visitors find the lawn size ample for running around and throwing a ball a bit, but if you are looking for a field to launch a tennis ball as far as you possibly can with a Chuck-it, the yard is not really the right size and shape for that, sorry! Hours right now are 7:00am to 7:30pm. If you are booking prior to 8:30am, please book no later than 9:00pm the night before, so that we see the booking before we go to bed. Oakland backyard for your doggy to run!

I have a large space that I am sure a dog will love to run in. In the winter, post rain, it can get VERY muddy back there. Years of dogs running around has torn up a lot of the ground cover and it's now just dirt, which becomes mud in the winter. In the summer, the "grass" (more weeds than actual grass) gets very dry. There are some burrs due to the dryness so if your dog has longer fur they might get some attached to them. I do my best to weed the weeds that produce them, but there still might be some. It's a fairly large open space with a longer run on the side. Also, I want to note that in the back of the property the fence is lower, around 4/4.5 feet (the rest of the yard is at least 6 feet), so if your dog is a good jumper, this could be an issue.
