Awesome!! My foster pup was able to get out all the zoomies! Beautiful backyard with a cute bridge over a creek. Easy to get to and access. Thank you!!!

Great yard, my dog had a ton of fun. There are chickens in a coop behind the fence, so if you have a dog with a high prey drive they might get frustrated like mine did until I was able to distract him.

One of the best sniff spots we have visited! It’s huge! Enough sniffing space and running space to get my dog straight to bed afterwards haha. We will definitely be coming back. Beth was awesome and super responsive with any questions I may have had.

There is lots of running space and places for dogs to sniff here. There are new surroundings for my dog to be curious about, including the stream and the chicken coop (both outside the fenced area of the yard). The home is on a quiet road, and parking is easy. Very clean and accessible. Thank you for hosting!

Such a great yard! So big, especially with the extension across the little stream. Beth was so accommodating too when I asked that any shared toys or water bowls be put away given the recent outbreak of respiratory illness. I even had a few hiccups on my journey getting there but she was so understanding and responsive. The dogs loved the yard and it was so well fenced I had absolutely no worries. Such a great yard!

Raylan had a blast here! The yard is secure and has lots of different things to explore and enjoy. The yard was clean and secure and Beth was super helpful and responsive before and during our visit. I wish I could post videos of the zooms he had running between the yards.

FAQ about our Melrose dog parks

Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 96% of reviews on Sniffspot visits in the Melrose area are 5 stars.
How do I know if a dog park works for my dog?
You can filter Sniffspot dog parks by fencing and distractions. If your dog doesn't have good recall, you can visit one of our 154 fully fenced dog parks in the area.
