55Big open field. My dog is reactive so we stayed away from the house and walked around on a long lead and got good sniffs in. Nice views too! For reactive pup owners there was a dog and people but they were way far off, could barely hear them. The other side is just wide open farmland. Host responded to messages immediately and helped with providing more details.Kim J.

55When I arrived, I turned on to the dirt road as directed and then drove about halfway back on the lot to park which was a good distance from the far fence line, the house, and the road (which is behind a small row of trees). This place is great for my dogs because they love to retrieve. The field is so large that even with a ball chucker and a good arm the balls still did not come close to the boundaries. They were tired by the end of our time. We will be back. Joan D.

55It was great being able to walk in the woods with our reactive dog. Since he is fearful and rarely in the woods we kept him on a 25' long line. (at one point he super wanted to full on run - maybe one day) We passed the fenced sweet little goats, another first for Moses. The trails are wide and accessible. Easy parking. Host has great communication. We will be back no doubt. Thanks!!!Kim J.

55Dexter loved his first visit here! It was a nice, clean, well marked and shady trail. The host left treats and a water dish at the parking area. Dexter can’t wait to come back for his next adventure!Sara M.

55What a wonderful spot! The space is easy to find with easy parking. The trail is very well labeled and easy to follow. Mary Lou left out some water, treats and toys, so my dog and I explored the trails (which we both loved so much), and then played in the little field by the parking area. It is unfenced so I put on my dog’s long lead just in case he tried to run off, but the property set a little way back from the, what seemed like, quiet neighborhood road. We will definitely be back! 55What a great spot! Shady trails and a field to play in. Mary Lou goes above and beyond by leaving treats and balls and water out for the furry guests. Also offered a kiddie pool and ice cold water hose that was greatly appreciated by humans and dogs alike on this hot day. Great experience!Marjorie R.

55Easy to find and directions regarding parking and trails were very clear. You’re in a neighborhood but tucked back, we didn’t see or encounter anyone/thing except two cute goats (in their pin). Our dogs had a great time! Jaime P.

55A nice quiet walk through the woods. I live in DC and can never find a quiet spot for my dog to be off leash without tons of dogs, cars and people. This was a welcome change, and I’ll be back.Sy S.

55Absolutely fantastic. Hiking trail is well marked and comfortable to walk with only 1 brief slightly steep portion along long stretches of flat wooded areas. Plus the open field is available to work in some fetch and exercise. Everything perfectly clean, quiet and inviting. We hope to be back soon.Joe P.

55Everything was perfect and as described. We could spend some time throwing the frisbee as well as walking in the woods. Indications are perfect and she also gave us some pet friendly places to eat nearby. Dogs had a blast!Alexandra B.

55Really really great spot! Huge and lots of trails to explore. It manages to make you feel like you are really alone out in the wilderness even though you are not. At a meandering pace I was easily able to fill 2 hours without it feeling repetitive. My dog loved it as well! There are a few steep parts but most of the trail is relatively flat and easy. We'll definitely be back!Kathryn N.

55We’ve been looking for offleash trails to practice recall and so my pup can wander freely - this place fit the bill! The trails are well marked and easy to find with the host’s instructions and signs. I would recommend decent shoes though - definitely treat it as if you’re going for a hike, not just a backyard stroll! So much space and your pup will leave exhausted. Jessica L.

55I've been to many Sniffspots and what is unique about this one - trails in the woods and all you see is trees all around - beautiful. Also the host left Halloween treats and a toy! Thanks for a lovely time and sharing your woods.Kim J.

55Unique, beautiful land that is great for a private hike. Visited in November, so lots of leaves covered the ground, however the two trails are well marked to prevent getting lost. Will definitely be coming back!Suzanne C.

FAQ about our Owings dog fields
Are dog fields safe?
If you are looking for an adventure, but also looking for safety, Sniffspot dog fields are a great option. While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, distracted dog owners, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks are much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private space for just you and doggy friends you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). Especially for training, privacy is ideal. Contrary to public dog parks, all Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog for off leash exercise or outdoor training. 93% of reviews on Sniffspot visits are 5 stars, while public dog parks often do not even have verified reviews. All payment is done securely online by credit card in a few simple clicks.
All park rental information is available online. Start by filtering parks by fencing, size and distractions, to find a private spot that works for your dog. If your dog has poor recall, you can visit one of our secure fields. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our dog fields where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby. You can review the details of the listing to make sure it works as your desired activity space, for example, safe dog exercise, dog training, a stress-free adventure with your furry friend or even a puppy event. You can even check the park amenities chart for amenities such as indoor training facilities, agility field, synthetic turf, exercise balls or field parking availability in advance. If inclement weather is an issue or poor field conditions, you can reschedule your visit up to 2 hours in advance.
What are the requirements to bring my dog to a Sniffspot dog field?
We require that all four-legged friends have basic vaccinations or equivalent titers. We do not allow dogs with a bite history. We require that guests sign our waiver and agree to follow our safety rules. Make sure to check host rules before visiting to ensure, for instance, that you are following allowable sports activities rules and any special events rules.
Will there be other dogs at the Sniffspot field at the same time as me?
No. Facility rentals are for private play time and any host dogs are required to be kept away from the area during visits, so this is perfect for a private adventure for you and your doggie friends, and perhaps a human friend. Hosts understand that many guests have dogs in training and are nervous owners. So when you book a Sniffspot dog field you have the entire private spot to yourself. We also enforce 30 min time buffers between time slots so you will not run into other guest dogs or a previous person when coming or leaving in the field parking area. Some hosts may have multiple fields, but there is always a buffer between fields.
How much do Sniffspot fields cost?
Dog fields in the Owings area range from $9.0 and $9.0. The least expensive dog field is West Seattle Wonderland!. The most expensive dog field is West Seattle Wonderland!. Each host sets their own price, so you can check the price on the specific Sniffspot dog park listing.
