You may spot some neighborhood wildlife like bunnies, squirrels, and birds passing through, which can add a little extra enrichment for curious pups. No need to worry about keeping dogs out of garden areas—the space is designed to be dog-friendly and stress-free. Our neighbors do have dogs who may occasionally be outside, but not consistently. Rest assured, our dogs will be kept indoors during your visit so your pup can enjoy the space. Feel free to relax in the screened-in porch while your dog plays. We provide thoughtful extras like towels for muddy paws, bug spray, and sunscreen for your comfort. There will also be fresh water and treats available for your furry friend! Treat your dog to a one-of-a-kind Splashpad experience at Playful Pups Retreat. This clean, professionally maintained space is designed specifically for dogs to enjoy safe water play, cooling off, and enrichment in a private setting. Guests also have access to a large grass yard for additional running and exploration. The Splashpad Sniffspot yard at our Hershey Road location is available on Saturdays and Sundays only, offering a quiet, self-service environment while our facility is closed. Please note that this is a dog-only Splashpad. For safety reasons, children are not permitted to run or play on the Splashpad. While most visits are quiet and private, we do offer dog training classes onsite on some weekends. Guests may see people or dogs arriving, though they use a separate entrance. This is important to consider for dogs who may be reactive. This is a self-service experience, as staff are not typically onsite during weekend rentals. Clear operating instructions are provided to ensure a smooth and enjoyable visit. Mostly flat terrain for easier walking. Some trails are rocky, some have alot of protruding roots, ground is uneven in areas. You're very likely to see squirrels and deer. Occasional dog barking in the background. Sometimes neighbors mowing/ kids playing. Pretty private, but not completely isolated. You might see a car driving past. Clearing will be squishy and back trails will be muddy after it rains. Not necessary to bring poop bags, just relocate it if it ends up where you walk. Springs for your dogs to drink from. Enjoy our perfect, not so perfect oasis while you visit! We have 3 Australian shepherds that enjoy our yard so much that they wanted to share it with you. We can leave a water dish as well as poo bags and a scoop, whatever you choose. We also have corn hole/ladder toss available if you would like to play while watching your pup(s) play! (Please ask in advance for yard games and I’ll put them out) Parking is in the driveway, you simply enter the backyard through the gate on the left. Please make sure to close the gate behind you. Grill is not available for use. Both shed and home are locked at all times. Please clean up after your dog(s) and watch them carefully. Take care of my things as you would your own. We hope you enjoy as much as we do! Disclaimer: We HAVE ring security cameras at both the entrance and rear of home. Another thing I’d like to add is: While we are at work, our dogs ARE inside and you will most likely hear them barking. If you’d rather have less distractions to enhance your time, I’d recommend booking during evening hours (after 5:30 PM) to give me an opportunity to get my dogs out of the house and/or on the weekend with notice. We also live next to a major highway, separated by a large sound barrier, but not recommended for dogs with high sound sensitivity.
