We host a beekeeper who has about 40 hives on a well-marked and avoidable section of one trail. The bees are out only from April to October but please avoid the hives anyway. There are forest trails and trails around our hay fields. **Please note **Our residential areas are off limits, please stick to the trails and blue markers. Please do not enter any of the buildings on our property. When you come up the driveway veer to the right, there is a marked parking spot for you and your pup. Fall, winter and early spring are great months for ball chasers as we have big open fields. Mid spring and summer we have hay growing and ask you and your pups to follow the trails around the hay fields. There are a couple of cows on the neighboring property, this is only for a very small portion on one of the fields.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE CHECK YOURSELF AND YOUR PUPS BEFORE YOU LEAVE. THEY’RE DISGUSTING AND CAN BE HAZARDOUS My place is nearly 200+ acres and can be tricky to find. It’s the 1st house on your left east of the 400 or 1st house on your right west of Jane. When u turn in the drive way follow it to the left and then slight right, you’ll see the house. U can park beside the barn and have an awesome walk, sniff all the things. Bring rain boots or shoes u don’t love lol It can get mucky on the trails at times. Also, there may be farmers out there so if your dog is reactive, maybe come on a weekend. I use the term “trails” loosely as yes, there are trails but there’s also a lot of forested areas. Feel free to venture in there but bring the “EAU DE BUG SPRAY”. The skeeters are nasty out here. I also LOVE seeing the pics of the pups having a roll in the dirt or just living their best life. Bring on the photoshoot!

Tweedside Trot Spot- Over 30 Acres of Fields, Forest and Fun!

Come trot with us! We hope you love Tweedside as much as we do! We recently adopted a senior GSD named Bella. She’s made herself at home and has embarked on many sniffing adventures, so we decided to open up our space to all the other furry friends in need of a sniff-tastic trot! We’re located in rural upper East Stoney Creek. The total property spans around 60 acres, with open fields near the entrance and approx 1km pathway that leads to a forested space and more fields. The open fields you’ll find upon entering are a healthy distance from the road, however you will see and hear passing cars in the distance. Once you start your journey down the path, all road distractions will be out of sight. Since the property is unfenced, please be mindful if you pup is a flight risk. We’ve blocked off timeframes before 9am and between 530pm and 6pm- these are the typical times our animals take potty breaks! IMPORTANT: all prices listed are in USD and guests will be charged in USD Hello and thanks for visiting our page. We are Paula and John. We own 95 acres of mostly forested land. About 65 acres is walkable and we have trails throughout. We are learning as we go, and hope to provide you and your dogs a fun day. If you have any question feel free to ask. And remember, we love dogs just as much as you do. There are a few important points we'd like you to consider. We like to meet our new guests for the first time. This gives us a chance to get to know you better and also put friendly faces to us, the hosts. We want you to feel welcome and know that we care about your dogs. We have several trails that split out to other trails. There will be signs to help you navigate through them, and some suggestions that will help you keep track of remaining time. In the colder months, running water will not be provided. We will also reserve the right to cancel the appointment if we get heavy snow squalls. Our plan is to keep the trails plowed, but in the event of a snow storm, it may take us a few days to get the trails plowed. In general, we will not be open past dusk, unless you specifically ask us and are aware of the risks of walking in the dark. I always walk my dogs on winter nights. Just carry some sort of flashlight. We currently have an electric gate that can only be opened by us at the gate, and not remotely. When a guest arrives, we will be there to open the gate for you, close it once you're in, and open it again upon your departure. Lastly a note about safety. Safety is important to us, but please note that you are entering nature. Our spot is home to many small animals, including porcupines. If your dogs are into porcupines, I would stay cautious of your pets entering the dense bush and recommend they stick to the trails instead. The probability of spotting a porcupine though is very low. Other animals will simply not bother human visitors and their dog companions. You may spot a deer or two if you're lucky that day. Deer are mostly friendly, but I would suggest keeping your distance if you spot a buck. However, they typically flee when they spot you. In all my years spotting buck, I've never seen one charge at anyone. Still, be safe. Although very rare, you many spot a coyote. Once again, they generally don't bother humans. If you spot one, keep your dogs close. Coyotes don't like confrontations with humans, so your dogs will be safe if by your side.
