Maplewood Private Farm Dog Park (5-acres)

Fully Fenced
5 acres

Welcome to our Private Farm Dog Park -- a peaceful 5-acre nature escape in south Maplewood near Battle Creek, just minutes from I-94 and McKnight. The property sits among rolling hills, mature trees, wooded trails, open field space, and natural wildlife scents, giving dogs a private place to run, sniff, explore, and decompress away from crowded dog parks. The fenced play area is approx. 60 ft x 100 ft and is great for off-leash play, fetch, tug, and burning off energy. I recently added a 7 ft spring pole for dogs with high energy, strong tug drive, or pups who simply love tugging. Fenced area makes a great small dog park. For a good visit, I recommend spending the first half of your time in the fenced area, then leashing your pup(s) for a slower sniff walk around the rest of the property. Recommended tour: From the fenced area, use the small back gate and veer slightly right into the woods toward the back cul-de-sac area for a private walk among the trees. Then loop back toward the campsite, turn toward the barn and walk around it, then take the trail north through the more wooded section, which is usually the best area for sniffing and exploring. There is also a large open field on the other side of the driveway -- my favorite spot -- where young aspen trees whisper on windy days. It is a peaceful place for dogs to roam and sniff, but it is also relaxing for humans who just want a little quiet, fresh air, and time in nature while their pups explore. The full property is not fenced, so long leashes are ideal outside the main play area. Dogs with good recall may enjoy more freedom, but please use your judgment -- you know your dog best. In general, the wooded areas are likely part of my property, and I included a map in the photo album to help with boundaries. As a dog lover and builder, I’m always improving the space with more enrichment features and amenities. This spot is especially great for dogs who need space and privacy, working breeds with energy to burn, training or confidence-building, or owners who simply want a quiet place where their dog can be a dog. Future upgrades include agility-style features, shade, a comfy campfire area, and a cleaner water-play area with sprinklers and a kiddie pool. I recently opened (May 2026) this Sniffspot and welcome feedback as I keep improving the space for dogs and their people. 🐾 🐾 Valeng and friends 🐾 🐾

Opportunity Woods Private Dog Park In Ridgeland

Fully Fenced
5 acres

Opportunity Woods offers 5+ acres of hilly woods and long grass meadow surrounded by a secure 6 foot fence. Several benches are placed along the rustic trails, but of course, there is no need to stay on a trail! A water bowl can be found and filled from the human-potable water hydrant, where you will also find a wading pool for dog and human use in summer. There is a roofed picnic/shade shelter just up the hill from the hydrant. Take in the serene view of the surrounding area, and get a birdseye view of Opportunity Farm, where sheep graze the nearby paddocks. Wire-wheel tables and chairs are available for relaxing, hanging out with your dog, having a picnic, a birthday party with your dog's pals or watching a dramatic rising or setting of a full moon. Have your dog invite their friends to join in the fun, or have a private play date just with you!

7 Acre Fully Fenced Private Dog Park In Lindstrom

Fully Fenced
7 acres

Our property is a dog’s paradise! We have an open backyard, wooded trails, and an orchard out back with tall grasses. We keep the trails and orchard mowed for walking, but your dog will have ample woods, puddles, and other adventures at their disposal! Since we live in the woods, we occasionally have trees fall down on our 5 foot welded wire fence. Please be mindful if your dog is an exit seeker, although we walk the fence and mend any spots we see often. There is a large pole barn visible near the gate where you enter that is our neighbor’s yard. His yard/barn is not visible from the rest of the property once you’re down the path a little ways. For SPRING/SUMMER months, tics and mosquitos are around. We do not spray our land, so make sure you and your pup have the protection you need. In summer mosquitos are often worse near dawn and at dusk, especially in thicker parts of the woods, and less so in the backyard and orchard areas. In the winter, we snowmobile our trails to keep them walkable! There may be slippery spots here and there, so prepare accordingly! Be sure to look ahead at the roads on MN 511 in case of winter weather.

10 Beautiful Acres with River 12 minutes from Hudson WI

Fully Fenced
18 acres

5/15/26 update: All paths are mowed, field entrance to drive in is now available (unless heavy rain, then their may be orange cones in the drive) In that case PARK only at the barn/field entrance and walk in. Traffic - To the spot the drive has no major road work slowing you down but LEAVING through Hudson can have long back ups. Please check your maps for delays or other routes. ***Also, it is tick season, do check your dog! This is a beautiful piece of land with a (mostly) fenced perimeter and 1/3 acre fully fenced doggy play area. If you drive in by the picnic table you are in the center of 18 acres to play on and will be quite a distance from the road. There are mowed walking paths to the beautiful Kinnickinnic river, far away from other people and animals. You and your dog will both love it here! The river is cold, clean and easy for dogs to hop in and out, also humans but a bit muddy at the easiest entrance. If you want to keep them out of the water there is about 10 acres of open field where you park, separate and above the river so you don't need to have them down by the water at all. (although most dogs gravitate to there!) Good idea to bring towels although some dogs dry off by the time they run back to the car! We love sharing the space, thank you for review pics!

Kay's 10 Acre Partially Fenced Private Dog Park In Corcoran

Partially Fenced
10 acres

Plan is to open site by June 30, 2026. Front area will have a securely fenced area, as well as adjacent grassy unfenced area. Upon following the driveway to behind the residence, there is another less securely fenced area. This area exits to a pond area and another bigger grassy area. At the point that the path crosses over the creek, a sign posted will request dogs to be leashed beyond that point, both for safety and for the purpose of avoiding intruding upon the neighbor’s property. Various walking paths will be cleared through the small woods, after which walkers may double back and complete their trek in the area around the barn and residence. There will be a small picnic area outside of the front fully fenced private dog park area.

Frequently asked questions about Shafer dog hiking trails

What types of dog hiking trails are available in Shafer?

Shafer has 14 dog hiking trails offers wooded trails, open meadows, and varied natural terrain. Whether you need a fully-fenced space for poor recall, a quiet location for a reactive dog, appropriate sizing for small breeds, gentle terrain for seniors, or specific amenities like water features or agility equipment, you'll find options in Shafer. Filter by fencing, size, distractions, and amenities to match your needs.

When can I book dog hiking trails in Shafer?

Shafer dog hiking trails are available based on host scheduling—many operate dawn to dusk or even 24/7. Unlike public dog parks with rigid hours, you choose the exact time that works for you. Check individual Shafer listings for specific availability. Flexible scheduling is especially helpful for dogs with specific needs: reactive dogs who do better during quieter times, working dog owners needing early/late slots, or seniors needing cooler morning hours.

How do I book a dog hiking trail in Shafer?

Browse 14 available dog hiking trails in Shafer, select your preferred date and time, and reserve through Sniffspot. Most Shafer locations offer instant booking. You'll receive confirmation, exact address, and entry instructions. The booking process takes just minutes—perfect when your dog needs exercise, whether that's a reactive dog requiring safe space, a puppy needing socialization, or an energetic dog burning off steam.

What's the most popular dog hiking trail in Shafer?

10 Beautiful Acres with River 12 minutes from Hudson WI is highly rated among Shafer dog hiking trails, known for excellent amenities and positive reviews. However, the "best" spot depends on your dog's needs—reactive dogs might prioritize privacy and quiet, puppies might need secure fencing, seniors might want flat terrain, while active dogs might want maximum running space. Browse Shafer listings to find your ideal match.

Can I use Shafer dog hiking trails for training sessions?

Yes! Shafer dog hiking trails are perfect for training because they're private and distraction-free. Work on recall, practice trail recall in natural environments, leash manners on varied terrain, or hiking endurance building, help reactive dogs build confidence, socialize puppies, or work on obedience—all without public dog park unpredictability. Many Shafer professional trainers use these spaces for client sessions with all types of dogs.

Do Shafer dog hiking trails accommodate multiple dogs?

Most Shafer dog hiking trails welcome multiple dogs from the same household. Some hosts set limits (check listings for specifics). If you have several dogs—especially if some are reactive toward strange dogs or if you have mixed ages (puppies and seniors)—private dog hiking trails let them play together safely without outside interference or triggers.

What amenities do Shafer dog hiking trails offer?

Shafer dog hiking trails feature amenities like marked trail paths through natural terrain, open meadow areas for off-leash play, and shaded rest spots along the route. Many hosts provide extras: poop bags, water stations, toys, shaded seating, parking, even dog wash stations. Each Shafer listing clearly shows what's available. Look for amenities matching your dog's needs: shade for heat-sensitive breeds, water for swimmers, agility for active dogs, or privacy features for anxious pets.

Are Shafer dog hiking trails available year-round?

Many Shafer hosts maintain their dog hiking trails throughout all seasons. Filter for covered or climate-controlled options if weather matters. Indoor dog hiking trails provide year-round access regardless of Shafer weather conditions. Check individual listings for seasonal availability and policies.
