Not far off of Highway 36 and 35E, enjoy the perks of room to run while having the privacy of your own space. Plenty of seating for humans underneath a shaded gazebo, with a table and basic amenities for guest use. Please be aware that we do have other dogs in the neighborhood. This includes our direct neighbors to the north, who we share a chain link fence with. If you are visiting on an evening or weekend, there’s a good chance their dog will be outside also!

Maplewood Private Farm Dog Park (5-acres)

Welcome to our Private Farm Dog Park -- a peaceful 5-acre nature escape in south Maplewood near Battle Creek, just minutes from I-94 and McKnight. The property sits among rolling hills, mature trees, wooded trails, open field space, and natural wildlife scents, giving dogs a private place to run, sniff, explore, and decompress away from crowded dog parks. The fenced play area is approx. 60 ft x 100 ft and is great for off-leash play, fetch, tug, and burning off energy. I recently added a 7 ft spring pole for dogs with high energy, strong tug drive, or pups who simply love tugging. Fenced area makes a great small dog park. For a good visit, I recommend spending the first half of your time in the fenced area, then leashing your pup(s) for a slower sniff walk around the rest of the property. Recommended tour: From the fenced area, use the small back gate and veer slightly right into the woods toward the back cul-de-sac area for a private walk among the trees. Then loop back toward the campsite, turn toward the barn and walk around it, then take the trail north through the more wooded section, which is usually the best area for sniffing and exploring. There is also a large open field on the other side of the driveway -- my favorite spot -- where young aspen trees whisper on windy days. It is a peaceful place for dogs to roam and sniff, but it is also relaxing for humans who just want a little quiet, fresh air, and time in nature while their pups explore. The full property is not fenced, so long leashes are ideal outside the main play area. Dogs with good recall may enjoy more freedom, but please use your judgment -- you know your dog best. In general, the wooded areas are likely part of my property, and I included a map in the photo album to help with boundaries. As a dog lover and builder, I’m always improving the space with more enrichment features and amenities. This spot is especially great for dogs who need space and privacy, working breeds with energy to burn, training or confidence-building, or owners who simply want a quiet place where their dog can be a dog. Future upgrades include agility-style features, shade, a comfy campfire area, and a cleaner water-play area with sprinklers and a kiddie pool. My backyard offers 2 acres of fully fenced forested area with over 50 trees within that area! We keep a trail mowed that loops down into the bottom of the yard so you have a comfortable walking trail and your 4 legged friends can use it as a racetrack! Tons of smells to sniff and ample room for zoomies! There are some stickers/burrs in areas of the yard. For winter months, the slope in the yard can get icy so please wear good shoes and be mindful. My chickens have free rein to the property when there are no visitors so there will always be chicken poop on the ground in some areas more so than others. Chickens will always be secured in their predator proof coop and run. There are toys, a garbage can, a dog bowl, and extra poop bags on the patio just before the wooden stairs. Our property is a dog’s paradise! We have an open backyard, wooded trails, and an orchard out back with tall grasses. We keep the trails and orchard mowed for walking, but your dog will have ample woods, puddles, and other adventures at their disposal! Since we live in the woods, we occasionally have trees fall down on our 5 foot welded wire fence. Please be mindful if your dog is an exit seeker, although we walk the fence and mend any spots we see often. There is a large pole barn visible near the gate where you enter that is our neighbor’s yard. His yard/barn is not visible from the rest of the property once you’re down the path a little ways. For SPRING/SUMMER months, tics and mosquitos are around. We do not spray our land, so make sure you and your pup have the protection you need. In summer mosquitos are often worse near dawn and at dusk, especially in thicker parts of the woods, and less so in the backyard and orchard areas. In the winter, we snowmobile our trails to keep them walkable! There may be slippery spots here and there, so prepare accordingly! Be sure to look ahead at the roads on MN 511 in case of winter weather.

The property sits approximately a quarter mile off the main road, offering exceptional privacy and a peaceful setting across 10 beautiful acres. About 5 acres are wooded, while the remaining 5 acres feature open trails and tall grass areas perfect for exploring and enjoying nature. 3 acres of full fenced area that can be closed off into separate areas (ie: main yard around the house, side yard, and lower pasture) or you can have it completely open and connected to all areas. There are cut and maintained trails in the lower pasture and then many smaller trail systems created by the deers and the dogs. In the summer it is buggy and there are ticks- particularly in the wooded area. I’m working on getting some tiki torches that can be lit when people are exploring the lower pasture. I’ll try and keep some bug spray and a lighter by the entrance to the lower pasture. During July-August is when the horse flies are the worst. Things to know about horse flies- they are attracted to shiny items (the sun hitting a car, rings, watches, dark hair). When it’s hot out, they like to be in the shade and when it’s cooler in the mornings they like to be in the sun. They aren’t deterred by citronella like mosquitos. If you have a dark haired dog I highly recommend using “swat” and applying some to their ears & top of their head, it’s the only thing that keeps them away from my GSD. I will try and keep a container of swat by the entrance to the lower pasture- make sure to wash your hands after applying it. There is also an additional acre-ish in the “arena” that your welcome to explore, however it is partially/poorly fenced and it is connected to the area where the goat pasture is, so if your dog has poor recall or issues with livestock it would be best to keep them on a long line if your going out there.

Fill any holes you pup digs and return toy to bin. Also, in the winter months, please be aware that their is no lighting in the field. **Formerly Pink Pitbull Club** We used to bring our dogs here to Pink Pitbull Club, and when the opportunity to buy came along we jumped on it. We have one reactive girl who has just loved having a huge yard to play and not worry about other people and dogs, I'm sure your pups will love it as well! The front gate is remotely controlled to let guests in, and a button on the inside of the gate for whenever you need to leave. There is a ring camera set up for when you arrive, just ring the bell, I'll say hello and let you in :). There's also a ring camera right on the inside of the gate in case you need anything during your visit. I'm happy to chat on the app for any folks that are Deaf/HOH to get in or need help. The yard is 5ft fence with a privacy screen. There are trees and shrubs for your pups to sniff and explore, as well as a wide open lawn perfect for fetch. There are parkour options and a ball pit in the back of the yard and a toy box up near the gate.
