Occasionally the neighbor dog is out to say hello with a bark but he is friendly and typically gets called inside after a quick hello. Our neighbors are very kind if you happen to see them as well, but again there is a fence between our neighbors!

We have 6 acres which is a mix of open area, woods and a creek. We keep the lawn cut but do not maintain our woods. You are free to cross the bridge and walk in the woods but it may be overgrown during summer and fall. Feel free to splash in the creek or check out the playhouse. We frequently see deer and other wildlife however they likely will be hiding when dogs are around. Please clean up after your pets. *please note we have a woodchuck living under our deck that likes to poop on our stairs. We try our best to clean it up but you may come across some woodchuck droppings. Our yard has been sprayed for mosquitoes, fleas and ticks.

At the back of the property, you will enjoy some of the best and most private scenery in Oakland County. As summer turns to fall there are a lot fewer bugs and beautiful color changes. Some trees are changing already. Please stay on the cleared paths on the West side and South portion of the property due to work being done on other sections. There are wooden arrow signs that help you navigate to the back of the property and back to the parking area. Thank you. The Layout & Safety Details Acreage: 5 full acres of natural, rustic field. Fencing: UNFENCED. This spot is wide open. It is ideal for working breeds, dogs with highly reliable recall, or handlers utilizing training lines. Terrain: Natural, unmowed country field with a mowed walking loop. Please wear sturdy outdoor footwear! Because it is a natural area, we highly recommend up-to-date tick prevention for your pups. Privacy & Homestead Disclosures Total Isolation During Bookings: Your reservation is 100% private. We promise that the 5-acre field will be entirely free of other people and animals for the duration of your visit. Arrival Visibility: Because this is an active homestead, there is a chance you may briefly see us outside taking care of property chores when you first pull into the driveway. However, we will head inside or stay completely clear of the field once you arrive so you can enjoy total privacy. Acoustics: While we have no close or visible neighbors, sound can carry in the country, and you may occasionally hear a neighborhood dog barking in the far distance. Our Animals: For the complete safety and focus of your dogs, our poultry flock is kept completely secure and locked away in their enclosed run during all active bookings. Amenities Provided Dedicated, off-street parking spot right near the field entrance. A clean human seating area near the entrance. Dedicated waste station (trash can + complimentary poop bags). Fresh, clean water station and a dog bowl. Host Rules Please clean up after your pup using the provided waste station. Keep your dog secured until you are in the trail. We have chickens who spend there time around the chicken coop in the front by our home which is not visible from the trail. The neighbors home at the top of the hill is visible a bit. They are friendly and rarely home, if you dog wanders over just bring them back into yard as soon as you can Enjoy the ultimate peace and quiet!

We have a fully fenced in yard in the Village Oaks subdivision! Come bring your dogs to have some fun while your kids are at school or have them all come play after school. For pups, we have lots of grassy area to run and play. They’re welcome to hop on our kids’ play set and ride down the slide, as our beloved dog did. We also added a trampoline this summer and a ninja warrior set for kids (and adults!) to play on. Two big trees provide plenty of shade for you and your pup.
