What people say about dog parks around West Columbia, South Carolina
Very sweet host and had a lot of amenities for us! My dog is a bit of an escape artist and thought about jumping the fence when she saw a cat but didn’t. No gaps in fence and a great size yard!
Schmidt (our pup) loved this yard. Flat and spacious with a good mixture of shade and sunshine. There is large dog in the yard neighboring (back) that barked a bit but they are very friendly and didn’t really bothered us just wanted to watch the new pup in the yard. Great play, great location.
My daughter and our puppy had a time at Clayton’s today. Private and clean.
Always feels like a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, easy to locate, more than enough room for parking, and the fence holds my husky pretty well
this was one of the best of spot locations I have been to in terms of fence quality and communication from the owner! My dog had a great time and I will definitely be coming back
This is a great spot for dogs to burn off some energy! We had a great time and brought a few toys to play with. With it being summertime I would recommend bringing mosquito repellent. :)
This spot was super clean, both gates are open for entrance so make sure to close the secondary gate prior to unleashing. Would def use again. We picked up our dogs poop after they played hard and had a great time.
my dogs had a blast! the fence does have some weak spots (i have larger dogs) but it was no issue at all! my dogs loved playing with the sticks in the yard. we will defintently return!
It was a great experience ! Backyard is completely fenced and they even have toys out to play with. Will definitely be booking again soon!
Such a great space that was fully secured and we didn't have to worry about our dog escaping. They had a basket of fun toys for us to use out front which was so exciting! The sandpit was a huge hit with our dog too and she had lots of space in the yard to run around in. Can't wait to go back!
This spot is perfect for your dogs and toddler. Nice shade, ample running space and treats left. I really appreciate the owner, fast communication and always reliable.
The fence was great- first one I’ve felt very comfortable with in keeping my escape artist maintained. Great amenities and very clean and quiet!
Amazing space! Lots of shade and a wonderful spot for dogs to run and play. Also, owner is super responsive.
Great space! Friendly, flexible, and communicative host and the fenced-in space is just as described. Will definitely be coming back soon! :)
Great space to go for a sniffari! Donnette is very accommodating- I got to ask plenty of questions about if her dogs would be out/what dogs are nearby/what area to park etc. She requested my dog’s vaccinations, which is great (because then you know any previous visitors have been vaccinated, too). The maps directions say to turn before the actual dirt road, but it’s an easy to see sign for the correct road to turn on. We’ll def be back & I already recommended it to a friend with a reactive-on-short-leash-walks friend for their dog!
Wonderful place to take your dog for a swim and let them stretch their legs! Well maintained and a really beautiful spot. My dogs had a great time!
Fun as always! Recent bush hog made the trail enjoyable. The creek had cold water from the recent rains, the dogs appreciated the drink. Look forward till next time.
The dogs had so much fun! It was a bit confusing for me to find at first, but the host was EXCELLENT!!! She was so helpful and accommodating. 10/10 would reccomemd and will definitely be back
Great place to let the pups explore! It is in close proximity to a main road so just be mindful of that if your dog’s recall is not 100%. My dogs were able to be run around there no problem, just keep that in mind! We saw no other people or animals while there so that was awesome, and I even had questions as we arrived and they were answered almost immediately so that we could get the most out of our visit!
My dogs and I really enjoyed it! Stephanie was very kind and helpful. We plan on going back for another visit soon!

Dog water parks
Many hosts have added water features like pools and/or are nearby lakes or rivers.
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 0% of reviews on Sniffspot visits in the West Columbia area are 5 stars.
How do I know if a dog park works for my dog?
You can filter Sniffspot dog parks by fencing and distractions. If your dog doesn't have good recall, you can visit one of our 50 fully fenced dog parks in the area. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our 7 off leash areas where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby. You can also filter locations to avoid other domestic animals and people. We also recommend reading reviews and reaching out to the host with any questions.
