There is lots of space for your dog(s) to run, and ample room to play fetch. There is plenty of outdoor seating to relax while you watch your dog(s) play and explore. The back right corner of the yard has a play area with a playhouse, caterpillar tunnel, tire tunnel, climbing cube, climbing dome, car beds, the biggest tire you’ve ever seen, and hammock. We also have a bunch of dog toys, including tons of tennis balls, and several herding balls of various sizes. Part of our yard is shady and part is sunny. You get the best of both worlds. The pool is completely fenced off from the rest off the yard. You don’t have to worry about your dog(s) accidentally falling in. Our yard is handicap accessible. There are no stairs to climb. The entrance to the backyard is a flat grassy area. The gate leading to the back yard is wide enough for a wheelchair or power chair. The yard has a slight incline, but there are no major obstacles that would prevent a wheelchair from moving around. We are located in Sykesville, MD which is about 30 mins from Baltimore and Columbia. 15 minutes from Owings Mills, Ellicott City, and Westminster.

Welcome to the Blue House Play Park! (The light blue house) Easy to find and convenient entrance to the backyard right in front of the driveway. Feel free to park on the drive or in front of the house if parking is available, or anywhere you see fit in the cul-de-sac. You will have uninterrupted time with your pup(s) in my large fenced-in backyard. I have two doggos but won't be outside during your booked time, I sometimes will have an extra pup in the house as I also offer dog boarding through Rover, but again they won't be out while you visit. Feel free to use the hose for water and the trash can to dispose of waste. I have a container of dog toys available for use, as well as added agility equipment for those who wish to do a little training. Feel free to use the hose/wash area to rinse off your dogs paws after play, no need to add the extra for that. The extra is if you want all the other stuff included for a more in depth bathing. The grass in the yard is cut every two weeks during the summer leading into the fall months. There may be some divots/holes in the yard so please watch your footing.

Spacious yard that's great for fetch

The yard extends from the house to the next street and is fully fenced. It is long enough that my throws don't reach the back fence. The yard also has a patio, deck platform, trampoline, bench swing, shed, chairs, a fire pit, and several trees shading the property. Sticks are plentiful and I've provided a bin with a variety of balls and toys. A bowl of water is provided and a hose spigot is just outside of the gate if needed. Upon request I can provide a dog wading pool, sprinkler, and/or a portable agility kit. Regarding accessibility, a wheelchair would be fine onto the patio by the house, but it would be difficult to traverse the rest of the yard.

We have lots of items to desensitize your pup and allow them to explore in a safe place (swing set, jungle gym, table, chairs) Warm month mornings are typically full sun, while afternoons offer partial shaded areas to cool off after a long day. Other amenities include table with umbrella and chairs, dog toys, shaded dog shack, pooper scooper, poop bags, water bowl, water hose, small dog pool, and agility equipment. We don’t typically use pesticides because we don’t want to harm pollinators, so we offer bug sprays and personal repellents. Our yard is backed up to a wooded area, so it’s frequented by an array at wildlife at times. You likely won’t see them during your visit, but we have seen squirrels, birds, rabbits, deer, frogs, groundhog, and a fox/bats at night (while yard is empty).

Complete freedom to roam on 30 acres with a bonus that our land is surrounded by another 200+ acres of electric company owned land with no roads, no cars, no neighbors… just grass and forest. We have a Google Earth picture roughly showing the property lines and the driveway for you to use while exploring. We ask that you please stay out of the treeline to the right of the driveway as you drive up the hill It's the neighbor's property and it's marked by no trespassing signs. There is no house on the property. Just a camper and a shed. Park anywhere on the road or at the big circle at the top (near the farm office.) We have wifi near the brown shed at the top of the road. We have somewhere between a third to a half acre in our backyard, fully enclosed with a 5 to 7-ft wood fence. We have shady spots, but there also aren't too many trees, so there is plenty of room to play fetch and run around. Amenities include a dog jump, a small dog tunnel, and furniture on the lower deck for you to sit down. There usually are a number of my dog's toys laying around (frisbees, balls, and ropes), which you are free to use while you are here. Please leave them in the yard on your way out though. We've had quite a bit of our stuff disappear over the years.
