55I thought we were lost but we just had to keep going down a single lane road. Signage was good. Dogs and kid had a great time. We walked around the pond a few times. I forgot a towel and we did end up with 1 wet dog! Humans may want some bug spray, definitely a few mosquitoes around the pond. Great time had by all!!Kimberly F.

55I’ve always wanted to try this spot out and glad I did. It was super fun and spacious for a recall class I hosted. Parking was available as well as towels for any dogs that went into the pond. I’d say be aware that while dogs were out of sight you could here them and people were present as they also rent out camping spots in the space. Still a great spot. Stephanie S.

55The pups had so much fun running around, jumping into the pond and playing. They're tuckered out, and that's hard to accomplish with my group 😄Adelina C.

55We liked it! There’s a lot to see and do here, although the 5 acres is a lot of space! Doggy in the water was new for us, and lots of cool balls and toys around to play with if you forgot your own. Easily accessed in Poway! Li T.

55Lovely spot with a walking path around the pond!! Our dogs loved getting to dip their toes in and run in the open spaces! Just make sure your dog has good recall because there were cars, kids, and people fishing in the space (completely not an issue for us!).Stephanie W.

55My fur babies had an amazing time here. Plenty of space to run full speed and play. They loved swimming in the pond! Off road parking is easy and plenty of space. David is friendly and asked how things went before we left. I really appreciate that. Definitely coming back. Recommended to my friends right after I left. Amy d.

FAQ about our Alpine dog hiking trails
Are dog hiking trails safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, inattentive owners, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks are much safer than a city or county park. With a Sniffspot off-leash area all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 93% of reviews on Sniffspot visits are 5 stars. Our hiking trails tend to be outside the city, which lends to more privacy, but it is also important to follow typical hiking safety precautions, such as potentially having trail maps.
