Please contact me ASAP if your dog has ALLERGIES!** Based in South Langley, BC, this indoor area is designed from the dog’s perspective and features sensory plants such as lavender, rosemary, basil, and mint, flowers, wheat grass and baby trees, as well as recycled objects with a scent history, including children’s toys, horse blankets, shoes, hats, and gloves. Scented cloths, feathers, and other items with various animal scents are also available. Dogs see a range of blues and yellows, so items have been chosen to reflect this, offering a visual experience as well as an olfactory workout. Various textiles are used to enhance the sense of touch in indoor spaces, including non-slip mats made of nylon, foam, and fur, as well as hanging items to brush against, such as scarves and beads. As your dog moves around and explores, they will discover natural treats hidden in boxes, puzzles, snuffle mats and even ball pits. The Praise Dog Enrichment Room gives your dog the opportunity to simply be a dog, making their own choices and exploring at their own pace. For this reason, a maximum of 2 dogs (from the same household) may visit at a time, as long as there is no resource guarding behaviour. As all dogs are unique, each experience is planned on an individual basis, taking into account your dog’s preferences, age and ability, character and behaviour, and the layout is adapted accordingly. It is also an opportunity to relax and simply observe your dog’s natural behaviour. On subsequent visits, the environment can be changed to reflect your dog’s preferences or provide additional opportunities.

Fully/securely fenced 20 acre spot with a field & orchard in the front. The back half is forested and has maintained trails throughout. Features include covered picnic tables in the field & woods, portapotty, drinking water station, balls/toys etc - see amenities for more details. There are seasonal streams & ponds in the woods during the wet season. Gravel, woodchips & foot bridges keep the main trails in decent shape but there's easy access to mud & water so expect a wet, dirty pup. Outdoor hose and rinse station provided. Waterproof traction boots, rainwear + towels recommended. Reservations are available up to 30 days in advance. Some days fill fast but plans can change & bookings get modified/canceled (2+hrs beforehand) - check back for an opening if interested. This space has some a covered sitting area with bench, poop bags and a disposal bucket. Great spot for throwing the ball with the chuck-it, digging box (please don't let them take ALL the sand out) and a climbing apparatus for the dogs away from the fence line. Only vaccinated dogs use this space. Park and go straight to the front fenced yard for your time period. We ask that you do not walk your dog around the property or bring them into the shelter - only to and from the yard. There is a no "nose-to-nose" rule at the facility and no dog is too be off leash on the grounds unless contained in the fenced yard. Public washroom available while your dog is contained in your vehicle, inside the shelter between 9am and 5:30pm.

Off West Pole Road, there’s a little lane next to a DeWildes nursery field. Our front field has a hidden gate (see pictures!) that will let you into our fully fenced front field. The grass is field grass and a little more rough and uneven than a yard lawn. When possible, please fill any dug-up spots so as to keep people and pups from tripping or getting hurt!

Our property requires a walk up a hill to access the Sniffspot once you have parked. Once you reach the top you have just over 10 acres to explore on old forest roads and trails. We have very thick brush on the south, west and north sides of the property and the east side is fenced in. We live about 5 miles from I5 with an upper property behind our home full of old forest roads, some trails, trees, and plenty of room to roam around off-leash or on. There is a lot of wildlife around the area and that lives and sleeps in our property to lots to sniff but be aware for off leash recall if a bunny or deer passes by.

It is peaceful and quiet, there is no road noise .It is spectacular and a safe peaceful place to walk and play with your dog companions. Pull in at the west driveway of the Farm following the tree planted driveway to the field. Park in the grass area before you cross the ditch , before you cross into the berry field.The ditches have clean water in them - your dogs are welcome to play in the water. I know my dogs LOVE IT!!! Our space has been a favorite for people with reactive dogs as you literally have wide open space all to yourself and your dog companion. April 2023 Field is currently all in grass- We will take first cutting grass off sometime the first couple weeks of May. I will keep you posted here.
