55This is a really cool spot! My partner and I brought our dogs here at dusk. It was fun to walk around with a flashlight and search for the very fun, whimsical forest decorations. I’m sure it’s even more magical there in the daylight ☺️

55Our dogs had a great time here! One of our dogs is reactive but we had no issues here, it’s very private on the wooded trails. The trails are level to walk and the moss kept our dogs nice and clean. We loved finding all the little woodland creatures! Makes it an extra special spot. Zoe Z.

55Amazing spot. Lots of space. I love how the trails are grassy instead of muddy. Lots of places to explore. I like the quirky decorations too!! Tekoah L.

55We finally made it out to a walk in the woods and it was magical! We walked around on paths for an hour and a half and kept finding new paths. This spot is very private - you drive up a long gravel road through fields then through a forest to the parking spot. The spot itself is a bunch of trails through beautiful lush forest. The trails are covered in moss as are many of the trees which gives the space a mystical feel. Additionally the host has hidden many different gnomes and other cool artifacts around which makes the forest seem alive and magical. Our dogs had so much fun sniffing around and searching for sticks. There is water by the parking spot and a port a potty. We will definitely be back!David A.

55Another great trip to A Walk in the Woods! There are a few spots a dog can get through the fence, but great place to use a long line, if that's a concern. Janiece M.

55It was our first time visiting A walk in the woods Sniffspot and we loved everything about it. It is like we left the reality behind and were transported into an enchanted forest full of adventures for dogs and people. You can tell that Harold and Moira created this place with love, and that love is radiating throughout the entire forest. Our dogs had so much fun that at the end of our 2 hours stay they really did not want to leave. We barely managed to convince them to come back home with us :) We will be back. Klara H.

55We had such a great time as always. The trails are well maintained and since I was there last there is now a trash can and a cute mail box for storage. I can't wait to visit again. Tina P.

55Lovely moss lined and well maintained level trails with whimsical creatures hidden throughout. Directions were good and the Sniffspot is close to I-5. Larger, fast, running dogs like ours were noticeably hard on the moss. For the sake of the Sniffspot, I think its probably best for smaller or less intensely active dogs, so as to protect the moss. It would be absolutely perfect for an amble with an older dog, a young pups, or a recovering dog who needed a gentle amble in the woods. And small dogs probably leave little trace. Also, with fast running dogs, even with great recalls, they were almost immediately out of site when they ran and did zip past the "do not enter" sign briefly (they didn't read it.......). Some sort of barrier across this area, even just plastic fencing, would be helpful. Our dogs loved it! It was our second sniff spot stop of the day and they were still so excited! Maybe it was the fairy dust. We practiced lots of recalls!Kate S.

55This was sniffspot 1 of 2 for Buddy's 12th birthday adventure and it didn't disappoint. He loves exploring wooded trails and this was excellent with the moss footpaths for his creaky joints. The directions were spot on, right down to opening the gate and I appreciated that as well. A wonderful space that we will definitely visit again. Tonya K.

55I think I may have enjoyed this spot more than my dog! Easy to find, easy to navigate, and I was charmed by all the signs, faeries, gnomes, and other surprised. My dog enjoyed sniffing everything and meandering down the various paths. The poop bags, water, and trash can were excellent extras. Lisa H.

55Excellent spot! We’ve been here several times and love it more and more with each visit. Harold is a 5 star host. We had a glitch during our first attempt to book and didn’t get the time we wanted. He worked with us and sniff spot to make sure it got resolved in a timely manner. Linsey T.

55Today was even more fun then usual as there were lots of huge puddles which the dogs were happy to play in and my rainboots kept me nice and dry. It is always a great spot for the dogs to run and to do some parkour. Tina P.

55This was a cozy spot and easy to find! We loved the mossy path and all the little hidden treasures. Our dog does well with recall but you could easily avoid the entrance while off leash and the area feels very secure. We walked a mile and a half while there- I think Porter ran about 3 miles back and forth exploring all the smells! We will come back!Karli L.

FAQ about our Bow dog hiking trails
Are dog hiking trails safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, inattentive owners, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks are much safer than a city or county park. With a Sniffspot off-leash area all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 93% of reviews on Sniffspot visits are 5 stars. Our hiking trails tend to be outside the city, which lends to more privacy, but it is also important to follow typical hiking safety precautions, such as potentially having trail maps.
How do I know if a dog hiking trail works for my dog?
Sniffspot provides the tools to find the ideal spot. Start by applying basic filters, such as fencing 6 feet tall and distractions, to find a dog park with trails that works for your dog. You can also filter by size if you are looking for a certain acre park, an expansive off-leash dog park. If your dog doesn't have good recall, you can visit one of our fully fenced dog hiking trails. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our dog hiking trails where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby. Since you are looking for trails, make sure to check photos to see if it the spot has flat trails or gnarly trails. You can also browse by specific amenities, if you are looking for a view or a beach, for instance, or other activities or fun features. You can check whether the spot has off or on street parking, the regular park hours, whether it has paved trails or a modern restroom.
What are the requirements to bring my dog to a Sniffspot dog hiking trail?
In order to hike the trails, we require that all dogs have basic vaccinations or equivalent titers. We do not permit dogs with a bite history. We require that guests sign our waiver and agree to follow our safety rules.
Will there be other dogs at the Sniffspot hiking trail at the same time as me?
Sniffspot only allows one booking at a time and any host dogs are required to be kept away from the spot during visits. We also enforce 30 min time buffers between bookings.
