Having this place for Dog to run is only thing keeping him from climbing in the next truck heading east and going back to the forest. I'm very grateful this place is available

I’ve been eyeing this sniff spot for months and finally got the chance to try it. 10/10 recommend - very much worth the trip from San Antonio. If you are considering it, just go ahead and book it! You won’t regret it. We only spent 1.5 hours there but easily could have spent 3 or more. Very easy to find, and so much space for my 3 dogs to run. My dogs didn’t want to leave. We already can’t wait to go back!

Wonderful experience with our lab - definitely will be back. 1 hour went by so fast! She loved jumping in the water and playing fetch in the field.

Another beautiful visit this year! I brought all 4 of my pups who had a blast swimming and exploring! The lake was quite busy today as it was a beautiful Saturday so take that into consideration when booking. They tend to make a lot of waves if you're getting in the water with your pup!

This was a great spot for our boys to play in the water. It was far enough away from other people and dogs.

Great first experience with Sniffspot! Received accurate directions to the spot and the dogs had a blast. Next time we’ll do some more exploring as we mostly stayed by the water’s edge.

I can't say enough good things about this spot! The water is clean, easy to walk in for the dogs and plenty of freedom. I like the security of the gate for arrival & departure. Dogs had a blast!

We had a great time at this spot, considering how hot of a day it was! I brought shade and a swimsuit though, so it was nice. Waylon thoroughly enjoyed the hike around the peninsula and swimming in the water. The only caution I can give is to be mindful of your dogs paws. The shoreline is pretty rough so it might be an issue with some dogs if they're not used to it. We had no problems with it though, and will very likely visit again.

Awesome place. Tons of room to run around. I would definitely bring some good shoes for both you and your dog though. Glad i read the reviews first bc they weren't kidding about the shells and sticks and rocks being rough on the shore. Glad I brought shoes because my pup was having an absolute blast and i didn't need to worry much about his feet with shoes on. Also - if your dog likes sticks... good luck. Mine LOVES sticks and was going absolutely crazy bc there were sticks and branches EVERYWHERE.

Great place to give your puppies run free. Nice shady trails and water access. 👍❤️Unfortunately, lake water level dropped drastically and sharp rocks and shells came up. Just be careful yourself and keep eyes on your puppies.

Had a great time. Even though the lake is very low, water access was still easy and beautiful! The dogs LOVED being able to roam with so much space and water! Second time there and it was so lovely each time, will be coming back soon!

It was good, as usual. It was a group of people fishing, so just make sure your dog is friendly and can handle it 😁 My dog first time realized she can swim🤣

Awesome experience! ❤️ I have a little Yorkie who is reactive to other dogs and I want to train him recall when off leash. Sooo much awesome space to explore with many different trails! We were lost for a little while looking for the entrance until we saw the “sniffspot” sign! We got in the gate and kept going straight for a little while (taking a right at the first split) and we could get pretty close to the lake. It was very pretty and clean. Little slippery getting inside the lake cause the algae and I was scared to get in the water because of all the old trees sticking out from the water but I did and I was fine! No dogs in sight only people in sight were out fishing on boats or jet skiing in the lake! Not bothered at all! We brought nice thick blankets to relax on as it was pretty hard/rocky by the lake where we were. Had a picnic and cleaned up. Host was very fast to respond to messages and was kind. *IF YOU HAVE A DOG WITH FLUFFY OR LONG ENOUGH HAIR TO GET STICKERS STUCK IN IT* Come prepared! My mistake! BRING BUG SPRAY!!! and LOTS of water! WEAR GOOD SHOES! I stepped on a sharp rusted sharp thing and it was so close to stabbing my foot, luckily it didn’t. Will definitely book again! ❤️ Love it!
