We’d love to hear feedback about the meadow and anything we can do to make it a great experience for your pup and you. GETTING HERE 9420 West Saanich Rd - This is the first driveway north of Ardmore golf course on the west side of West Saanich. - Drive up the long driveway, take the sudden left turn at the farmhouse, and straight ahead another 3 metres is the SniffSpot meadow -Park there (you'll see a chalkboard sign) - The meadow is on your left THE MEADOW - this is a fully-fenced 1/2 acre with 5ft tall fences resting a few inches off the ground. It is secure for small dogs. - it is a shady spot with dappled sunlight, full of deciduous ornamental trees, wild mint, and grasses - there is a flock of chickens next to the dog meadow, visible but protected by fencing AMENITIES - water and a dog bowl are at the front of the gate. Use the spigot and hose to fill the bowl as needed - an electric outlet is here as well for charging devices - garbage is in the “pan-insula” bin clearly marked at the entrance to the meadow. Put dog waste in the garbage bin, not the compost bin.

Great place to walk through the trees that have all been cut up so you can see through them. Two large areas for Frisbee etc Enough shade is available so not out in direct sun if too hot, but plenty of open spaces available. Toys provided. Places to sit. Shaded areas.

Space includes a small wooded area within the fenced area. Bathroom available on site in the smaller barn. SMOKE FREE ZONE. Pick up after dogs, garbage bin provided. There are a few seniors visiting with mobility issues which is taken into consideration when there is poop left behind. You can always message me and let me know a general area and I can try to run out and pick it up between the next visit. There are some small gaps in the fence, so this is a great spot for large and medium sized dogs. Not a spot recommended for small dogs or severely reactive. Please keep dogs leashed until it is your time slot and are in the designated area and keep in mind you may pass another dog owner with their dog on a leash leaving or entering the spot. IF YOU CAN NOT CONTROL YOUR DOG ON A LEASH WHEN PASSING ANOTHER DOG PLEASE DO NOT BOOK THIS SPOT. Lots of seniors visit this spot and they may need some extra time to walk to their cars. For the most part spacing between guests has been good. Please read the essential rules the website has suggested in order to keep this a fun and safe place for dogs. Guests can be blocked from booking again if they do not respect the space or who are rude to me. Please check the spot descriptions for all details regarding animals on the property. So if you are also a cat person or know a cat person please share my other link to book through the Swimply App. Similar to sniff spot but the insurance coverage is slightly different for cats ahah. You can also book that spot for puppy training, as it will be a more controlled smaller space 18 ft long. For people who don't have cats you can still book the space and visit my two friendly orange cats. The orange cats on the property are very people/kid friendly. The black/white cats are loving only to immediate family members. Thank you to all our visitors. It's been wonderful seeing so many happy dogs.

This charming Sniffspot (formerly a turkey pasture) is a great option for small-to-intermediate/large-size dogs. No neighbours here; loud dogs and barkers are welcome. The area available is not fenced and is 3.5 acres, situated entirely off the road. The main play space is an heirloom apple orchard with 25+ beautiful old gnarled trees in an unmowed meadow. My own reactive dog loves to spring through the tussocks and uses the trees like an obstacle course. Beyond the meadow is 3.5 acres of hawthorn scrub that’s great for dogs, but not easily human-penetrable. Perfect for letting adventurous dogs have a solo romp if they have good recall. I hope you and your pup(s) enjoy it!!
