Fully fenced yard for your dog to play in! Flat with mostly grass, but plenty of bushes and a couple of trees to keep things interesting. The yard is long and narrow so its great for fetch and getting some zoomies out! Most of the fence is wood but one side of the yard is chainlink fence, so the neighbors can sometimes be seen through that fence. The neighbor next door on the long wood fence side has a dog an a chicken coop, so you can occasionally hear them. We have a dog, so your dog will have lots to sniff at around the yard. Feel free to sit on the covered deck while your dog explores. There are also some plastic hurdles if you want to try some agility training with your dog!

Once you close the gate behind you, the whole place is for you to enjoy, including the fenced-in meadow/arena, front and back around the house. You are free to let the dogs out of your car off-leash. Most of the land is flat and accessible. There are a couple of stairs and a small slope lead to my house and the back yard. (See accessibility picture) I understand the significance of providing them with a safe space to unwind. We will never come out when you are here without prior communication. There is a power line over head. Given the current COVID-19 situation: please bring your own toys, water bowl, and chairs. FALL 2025 UPDATE: We have chickens in the Sniffspot now. They have a secure coop in the upper play yard. If your dog is overly interested in the chicken coop you will need to leash your dog in the upper play yard and only allow your dog off leash in the lower pasture. Dogs cannot be permitted to harass the chickens in the coop. Guests who allow their dogs to harass the chickens will not be allowed back. There is a gate separating the upper play yard and the lower pasture that you are welcome to close, creating a secure off leash area away from the chicken coop. WATER/HOSE -- We have a hose available for use * upon request * We must be home to turn the water on. Please message us if you would like the water turned on and we will do our best to accommodate. -------- Two adjacent and connected pasture fenced yards totaling almost one acre including mixed long grass/dirt/wild flowers, beautiful old trees and sloped terrain above and below. No known hazards aside from hilly terrain and some blackberry brambles (we are diligently fighting them). In rainy months Nov-April there is a shallow pond/wetland (bring a towel). Fencing is all new 5' agricultural fencing secure for dogs of all sizes, including coyote rollers on entrance gates. Enjoy the serene space with a creek just beyond the fencing. Many songbirds too! Upper pasture features a playset with slides and swings. Two benches for sitting. Maybe not suitable for very tiny dogs due to eagles/ hawks. Private!!! Closed toed shoes recommended as well as mosquito repellent in summer especially at dawn and dusk. Hose may be available with advanced notice. Private driveway can be hard to find (follow instructions in welcome message). *** This property is also home to the Community Center for a dog rescue so you are likely to see dogs/people when entering the property. High Rock Meadow

High Rock Meadow is a 4-acre securely-fenced natural meadow, surrounded by forest. Please note that this is NOT a manicured lawn space; it is a sloping meadow with uneven footing and heavy ground cover. You can explore a network of walking trails that wind through the perimeter forest, while your dogs romp in the meadow and zoom along the trails. Due to the forest canopy, on hot days it stays cool, and on wet days, it stays relatively dry, making nearly every day the perfect day to visit. There is no end to sniffing material in this 4-acre playground! The terrain in this spot is uneven and sloping, with some steep areas on the trails and possible muddy areas. Sturdy shoes or boots are recommended. Those with mobility challenges may have difficulty moving about in this spot. We are located in a rural neighborhood and there are times when neighbors practice shooting. There is really no way to anticipate this, but If you visit and the shooting practice is going on and you need to leave early, please notify me for a discount if you'd like to try us again.
