Fully fenced 20 acre space with a large front field and 10 acres of forest in the back with maintained trails throughout. Covered seating (in the field & woods), portapotty, yard hose on site, see 'amentities' for a full list of features. There are seasonal streams and ponds in the woods with foot bridges and woodchips to keep mud to a minimum walking the main trails. Plenty of high/dry areas in the field and woods but also low spots - expect puddles, mud holes, areas of standing water (and a wet/dirty dog), especially during/after rain. Appropriate outerwear, traction footwear (hiking/muck boots etc), towels recommended. Some days can fill fast but plans change & reservations get modified/canceled (2+hrs beforehand) - check back for an opening if interested. Thank you for being considerate of our space by reading and abiding by spot specific rules included in this listing. First time visitors get a customized auto-message 2hrs beforehand with helpful info.
22 forested acres with private trails and an open field area located in the power line clearing. Includes private land access to state forest trails with views. Once you park you will see the trail entrance into the forest in front of you. Take the trail down to the creek. Water levels in the creek vary depending on the time of year. Cross the creek using the foot bridge and head through the forest. In about .3 miles you will come out into the powering clearing. Feel free to explore everything in front of you and to the left (north). There are several wide open grass spaces in the power line to play fetch or just let the dogs run and be dogs. If you follow the power line trail to the left, then follow it up the hill to the forest on the other side, there is another trail that enters the forest. This is all state forest and not easily accessible to the public. This trail will lead you to the top of the mountain on your right. Hiking this round trip will take about 2 hours. Approx 5 miles and 900 feet elevation gain. If interesting in doing this hike please ask me for details.
We have a number of wide moss covered walking trails through the woods. The property is fully fenced with wire fencing. But it is NOT dog proof fencing . There is a natural wide buffer between trails and fencing in most spots. The west side has privacy fencing, hogwire fencing on the North and a creek borders the Southend. . We have dogs on the property but they do not go venturing into the woods unless we are with them.
We live about 3 miles from I5 with an upper property behind our home full of old forest roads, some trails, trees, and plenty of room to roam around off-leash or on.
****IMPORTANT: all prices listed are in USD and guests will be charged in USD*** Private property with beautiful area to run around and play. Private trail system included in the experience.
Please Note: 11/25/22- I’ve decided to open up the calendar for a bit to allow reservations with greater ease, but I do still ask that you message first in case someone related to our forest cleanup project is on-site. 10/1/22- At this time the property could be potentially available for your use, however, we are preparing for the forest cleanup project that we’ve been working towards with the DNR for over a year. If you are interested in visiting here, please message and if it works out I’ll be happy to accommodate you. 07/01/22- Important: The Sniffspot platform does not allow hosts the option to approve or cancel reservations, as such I have blocked my calendar to more easily control reservations. I often don’t know until last minute when the forest manager I’m working with for the DNR forest cleanup project is on-site, the logging will take place hopefully this winter. — This 21-acre forest with a large beaver pond is classified as a class-A wetland. In addition to this, you can find a shallow creek, beaver dams, old-growth forest, and phenomenal bird habitat. Find privacy and quiet with the exception of the songs of many birds and woodpeckers. This property was once a show home, but a fire took place over 10 years ago and the house was not rebuilt. While the ruins that remain are minimal, it sets an interesting backdrop; perhaps it can be the scene for a mysterious photoshoot. Within the property is a small orchard, we do ask to try to not let the pups do their business there. Spring 2022 Update: One picnic table have been added to the property.
Enjoy this completely private dog park on over 5 acres of property on the beautiful Bacus Hill. To get here, follow google maps most of the way. When you see the mailboxes on the left (a little before where maps takes you), you'll also see an area where you can pull off and park. There is a maintained path that leads straight down to a bridge, once you are across the bridge, the entire open area is available for you and your dog to roam and explore. On the walk down, you will be able to see our house and our fenced yard with our dogs, but once you cross the bridge it will be private. A few warnings/disclaimers: 1. There is wildlife (bears, cougars, etc.) in the area. Use at your own risk. 2. The bridge has some (fairly obvious) broken/soft spots on the west side. Watch your step! 3. Beyond the open area to the east and south begins to get into other neighbor's property. It is not the end of the world if your dog goes there for a bit, but please try to keep them mostly in the open area.
