Welcome to Beaverton's Dog Trails! Please access the trails from Concession 6. Punch these coordinates into Google Maps: 44.4415942, -79.1065234. There is a SniffSpot Sign at the entrance. You may park in the private driveway. At times the river will be high, and you may only be able to cross the river on the white trail as there is a bridge. Please be advised that you are in bear territory. Carry the bear spray provided if it makes you more comfortable. Please pick up after your dog, there is a waste bin at the entrance. Please help yourself to a laminated map at the entrance and return after your walk. The map is posted throughout the trails with "you are here" symbols to help you navigate the trails. There is also bug spray in the cabinet at the trail entrance. If trails are blocked off with caution tape, they are temporarily closed. Enjoy your visit! There is ample parking and a turn around so you do not need to back out onto a busy road. There are trash bins for poop bags, a water faucet on the outside of the house and a green crock for a water bowl. I try to have a chair or two available as well. There is shade in the morning but it is full sun in the afternoon. It is also a very breezy location because we are so close to Georgian Bay. Pls be thoughtful when you leave a review. This is not some big money making business. We offer our property to support dog families who need a safe space for activity. When we get negative reviews because someone is “too hot” or “it rained” it makes us question what we are doing and why. It is a lot of work to maintain this space. We really do hope you enjoy.

It’s the 1st house on your left east of the 400 or 1st house on your right west of Jane. When u turn in the drive way follow it to the left and then slight right, you’ll see the house. U can park beside the barn and have an awesome walk, sniff all the things. Bring rain boots or shoes u don’t love lol It can get mucky on the trails at times. Also, there may be farmers out there so if your dog is reactive, maybe come on a weekend. I use the term “trails” loosely as yes, there are trails but there’s also a lot of forested areas. Feel free to venture in there but bring the “EAU DE BUG SPRAY”. The skeeters are nasty out here. I also LOVE seeing the pics of the pups having a roll in the dirt or just living their best life. Bring on the photoshoot!

It is beside one of the many walking and bike trails. The lowest and largest area in this dog park sits on a flood plain. You may see a water build up like a pond, which eventually recedes to a layer of an ankle deep water beneath the grass that is not readily visible before it totally dries out. This occurs during the spring thaw and/or after a heavy rain. As such, some guests recommend keeping a pair of rainboots or beach footwear. Your dogs can play in or around it if they want, and it's entirely up to you. While there are no potential hazards, there are mosquiitoes that a bite can cause allergies to some. Mosquitoes are most active between dusk and dawn, specifically around sunrise and sunset. In the Markham area, peak mosquito season runs from May through September, with activity increasing dramatically on warm, humid days when temperatures exceed 10°C

We want others and their dogs to be able to enjoy private trail walks as much as we do :) A lot of our trails were made in the winter so we are slowly working on clearing up more trails this spring so bear with us and the branches! We keep the trailed groomed almost daily in the winter to make walking easier. PARKING: please park in the round about and go around the left side of the house to the trail. Winter parking: Please park your vehicle on the corner of the paved driveway LEASHES: Please leash your dogs until you are on the trail and when returning to the parking lot if they don’t have reliable recall. DOG POOP: Please use a stick to flick your dog’s poop out of sight and off the trail or put in a doggy bag. There is a compost bin you are welcome to throw your compostable doggy bags in there. RESPECT NATURE: No smoking or littering. Please keep our Sniffspot beautiful and safe from potential fire. The entrance to the trail is at the back left of the property. There is a water bucket for the dogs at the left side of the house near the tap. You are welcome to refill if needed. I hope you enjoy!
