POOCH'S PARADISE in Jenison - Agility, Ball Pit, Enrichment, & More

Fully Fenced
0.5 acres

Welcome to Pooch’s Paradise! I’m Kaitlyn, a professional dog trainer who owns Kaitlyn’s Dog Training. My dogs are basically my children, and the entire yard has been catered to them and my clients’ dogs. This half-acre yard is fully fenced (6 foot privacy, plus a 4-ft chain link surrounding a garden area), and even has a double-gate system to enter and exit, like you would see at a dog park to add extra safety. There are tons of enrichment activities available. I always have a wide variety of toys, a children’s climbing playset, a large ball pit, agility equipment (tunnels, a full AKC regulation size A frame and a small practice A Frame, a miniature agility dog walk, a teeter totter, a pause table, a full regulation size 16 foot PVC tunnel, a couple bar jumps, and a panel jump. Additional equipment being added soon, including a tire jump, weave poles, and eventually a regulation size dog walk.) ** I also have kiddie pools and/or a treat scavenger hunt I can add if you give advance notice and select it as an add-on option.** There’s a gazebo that offers shade and seating. There’s a tote by the entry gate that contains clean towels and also a Mudbuster tool for cleaning off paws. We do everything we can to provide the absolute best experience for you and your dog, and we think you’ll love it! The only dogs I have ever allowed on the property are vaccinated, healthy, and up-to-date on flea & tick prevention. All the pups who visit my home find that the yard is quite literally their own personal playground, and I know your dogs will love it too!

Fully Fenced Yard with Scenic Views in a Quiet Neighborhood in Cedar Springs

Fully Fenced
0.17 acres

Welcome to your pup’s new favorite getaway! This large, fully fenced-in yard (enclosed with a secure 4-foot chain link fence) offers plenty of space for running, sniffing, and relaxing in a peaceful, suburban setting. Nestled in a quiet neighborhood, this spot provides a safe, distraction-free environment — perfect for dogs who enjoy room to roam without the worry of nearby pets or children. While you may hear the occasional laughter of children from across the field or distant animal sounds from nearby properties, there are no immediate young children and no neighboring dogs, making this space ideal for pups who need a calm and controlled environment. Behind the home, a beautiful open field adds scenic charm and an extra touch of privacy — a perfect backdrop for peaceful play sessions or a relaxing sit while your dog explores. We’re a reactive-dog household ourselves, and we understand how important it is to have a safe, low-stress space for dogs who need a little extra understanding. Our own rescue dog is kept securely inside during all bookings to ensure a quiet, stress-free experience for your visit. Amenities include: * Full 4ft chain link fence around the yard * Access to a hose for water, rinsing paws, or cooling down * A cozy firepit area with chairs for you to relax while your pup plays * Access to dog bags and hand sanitizer Unfortunately due to a work from home lifestyle, we are not able to offer our bathroom during working hours. However if you have special needs please reach out and we will be as accommodating as possible. Whether your pup loves to zoom, sniff, or simply soak up the sun, this quiet, clean yard is a safe and serene haven to enjoy some off-leash freedom.

Your Complete Guide to Dog Parks in Grand Rapids

Tried the Huff Park off-leash area on a March afternoon and found yourself ankle-deep in mud? Or dealt with the absolute zoo that is the Kessler Dog Park on any remotely nice weekend? Grand Rapids dog owners are familiar with the pattern. The public off-leash dog parks either turn into swamps for half the year or get so packed you can't move. Between lake effect weather that changes by the hour and limited spaces that actually drain, finding a decent dog park feels harder than finding parking during ArtPrize.

Grand Rapids has public spots like Huff Park, Kessler Dog Park, and the Riverside Park dog area, but they come with Michigan baggage. Muddy fenced-in areas from October through May, codes and signs about vaccination requirements, collars and tags, current tag information, and water stations that freeze solid all winter. Dog owners in East Grand Rapids, Eastown, Heritage Hill, and out toward Cascade are switching to private Sniffspot yards. Fully fenced properties where your dog isn't trudging through half-frozen mud. No dog bite drama, no slippery chaos, just reliable fenced-in land.

Why Grand Rapids Dog Owners Love Private Dog Parks

Public off-leash areas have their limits. Dog's still working on recall? You need secure fencing, not spaces where they could bolt toward 28th Street. It's November and 35 degrees with freezing rain? You need shelter and functional water fountains, not an exposed field. Dog gets stressed around large dogs or overwhelmed in crowded play areas? Private bookings eliminate that.

Grand Rapids Sniffspot hosts understand West Michigan weather. Properties with actual drainage (critical here), covered areas for rain and snow, agility equipment for cabin-fevered dogs, water stations that work year-round. Nobody's verifying if other dogs are spayed or neutered. No concerns about communicable diseases in sloppy conditions. Training with food or treats? Way more effective without brewery dogs wandering over.

What Your Grand Rapids Dog Actually Needs

Grand Rapids dogs need more than standard off-leash dog parks. They need fully fenced yards that drain properly because mud season is real. They need water stations. They need proper waste stations and bag stations for dog defecation cleanup. Walking areas that aren't ice rinks in winter or swamps in spring. Weather protection for lake effect snow dumps and summer thunderstorms.

Where to Find Dog Parks in Grand Rapids

Over 280 Sniffspots cover the Grand Rapids metro. East Grand Rapids, Eastown, Heritage Hill, Westside, Northview, Kentwood, Wyoming, Grandville, Walker, Cascade, Ada, Rockford, Byron Center, Hudsonville, Jenison. Even Holland and Muskegon if you're heading lakeward.

Filter for dog fields for runners, fenced-in areas with drainage, agility equipment, covered spaces.

Pro Tips for Grand Rapids Dog Park Visits

Check lake effect forecasts before booking because West Michigan weather is unpredictable. Bring water year-round, poop bags for waste stations, towels for muddy paws (always). Book covered spots during winter months. Spring and fall? Assume mud and plan accordingly. Food or treats for training? Keep them dry.

The Sniffspot difference: your time slot is private. No off-leash dogs while their owners are distracted at walking areas. No navigating Grand Rapids dog park politics. No showing up to find the whole place is a mud pit. Just dependable space where your dog can actually run without you both needing a full decontamination afterward. Check out hundreds of Grand Rapids options above and book your spot.

Frequently asked questions about Grand Rapids dog parks

What amenities do private dog parks in Grand Rapids offer that public parks don't?

Grand Rapids private dog parks offer amenities you'll never find at public facilities: swimming pools for water-loving dogs, agility equipment for training, climate-controlled indoor spaces for year-round use, hiking trails on private property, and secure fencing customized for different dog sizes. Hosts provide poop bags, water stations, toys, and even dog wash stations. Cyndie's PRIVATE Zoomie Park Grand Rapids is especially known for exceptional amenities. Every Grand Rapids listing shows exactly what's included—no surprises.

Are there fully fenced private dog parks in Grand Rapids?

Yes! Most of Grand Rapids's 314 Sniffspot locations are fully fenced. Use the "fully fenced" filter to find secure enclosures with detailed fencing specs: height (4ft, 6ft, 8ft+), material (wood, chain-link, vinyl), and gap information. This is crucial for escape artists, puppies learning boundaries, or reactive dogs who need contained space. Grand Rapids listings show fencing photos so you can verify security before booking.

How clean are private dog parks in Grand Rapids compared to public ones?

Significantly cleaner. Public dog parks in Grand Rapids are maintained by overworked city staff and often littered with waste from dozens of dogs daily. Sniffspot hosts in Grand Rapids maintain their own spaces and take pride in cleanliness since it directly affects their reviews and bookings. Many Grand Rapids hosts provide fresh poop bags, empty trash regularly, and sanitize water stations. Plus, with only one booking at a time, waste accumulation is minimal. Check reviews to see cleanliness ratings.
