Imperia's Canine Connection 1+ Acre Private Dog Park The Spot The Spot is over 1.25 acres of fully fenced (6' chain link) field with a drive-through gate so your dogs can start running right out of the car. The surface is a packed sandy soil with dry groundcover during dry Summer, Fall, and Winter months, and mowed natural vegetation during the Spring and wetter Summer months. A walk around the interior fence line is about a quarter mile so it is great for the active dog owner too. This Sniffspot is a close, rural ambiance location in Aurora just two miles east of I-225 from the Sixth Ave exit. The Training Yard The Training Yard is a 60’ x 30’ fenced yard with a Dog Tuff ™ grass surface. This is a unique grass designed with dogs and drought tolerance in mind. The Training Yard is a place for your focused training. You can also use this area as a cool down area after playing in the field. And of course, this is a great yard for my guests with smaller paw prints. Please be mindful that you may want to roll in this grass with your dogs as I do with mine, so please spend time in the field area to potty your dogs before entering the Training Yard. You might hear a dog barking in the distance or occasionally my dog barking from inside. You might see me walking around inside my home through the windows. There is a small chance my neighbors will ride their horses behind the fenced area but this is not common and they usually move through quickly. -If you need towels, please ask ahead of time. -Please, no digging in the area with short grass near the house, near any fence lines or near the solar array or well head. We have a deck for humans to sit on and hang while the pups play. Right now we have 2 large camp chairs set up but should be getting patio furniture at some point so it will be a little more comfortable. I have a Chuck-it and some other toys that you are welcome to play with and use. There is a water bowl out back and if it is empty or the dogs drink it all up, then there is a hose you can use to fill it up.
