Woodland Tranquility Pathways - find solitude!

Partially Fenced
5 acres

Off-grid Sniffspot location in rural Snohomish Washington! You will have the entire 5-acre property to yourself to enjoy! This part of our property is only used for Sniffspot guests. Would be perfect for those that don’t want to interact with others (i.e. cars driving by, strangers, the neighbors...). Safe place for adventurous individuals that prefer to explore alone with their doggo(s), a doggie daycare retreat (we are very popular with dog walkers and their packs of furry clients), a memorable late evening of star-gazing, or a safe place for a highly reactive dog to have fun. Details: 5 acres, off-grid experience (no power) with it’s own private entrance. Secluded, native woodland experience with mowed grass. Two grassy sloping yard areas, a covered shelter with a table and chairs and “Tranquility Trails” that loop up the hill to a shady, fern filled, mossy ravine with a seasonal stream.. There are (overgrown) cottage style gardens near the Parking Area. During your visit, feel free to pick wild blackberries, apples or roses — or pull weeds — if that’s fun for you. 😉. This location is very relaxing. Plan for a couple hours or more to enjoy the quiet, rural lifestyle. TIP: if you have any concerns about your pup(s) going down the driveway, feel free to close the gate for added safety. Note: We are raising money to renovate the cottage located on the property by hosting a Sniffspot. Please do not explore inside the house, a roof collapse happened before we could arrange for it to be replaced.

Lake Cavanaugh K9 Ranch

Unfenced
22 acres

22 forested acres with private trails and an open field area located in the power line clearing. Includes private land access to state forest trails with views. Once you park you will see the trail entrance into the forest in front of you. Take the trail down to the creek. Water levels in the creek vary depending on the time of year. Cross the creek using the foot bridge and head through the forest. In about .3 miles you will come out into the powering line clearing. Feel free to explore everything in front of you and to the left (north). There are several wide open grass spaces in the power line to play fetch or just let the dogs run and be dogs. I will send you detailed instructions for the hike up the mountain upon request. This is a real hike and I recommend hiking attire. Please bring water for yourself and your dogs. The hike is about 3.5 miles and 800 feet of elevation gain. I recommend booking at least 2 hours to complete. If you want to hang out and enjoy the views you may want to book more than 2 hours.

Magical Mossy Forest

Unfenced
5 acres

Magical Mossy Forest Sniffspot is a large mystical woodland adventure for dogs in Redmond on the way to Carnation. Boots are recommended in the winter rain. MMF is preferred by puppies, dogs, people, adults and kids alike because it has potable water, power, picnic tables, chairs, several firepits, lit portapotties, 3 swing sets, 3 slides, monkey bars, 3 Forts, a log bridge to cross over Little Ames Creek for when the creek is flowing, a doggy playground, lots of picturesque moss, lighted parking lot, woodchip trails and many footpaths over 5 forested moss covered acres. Parking is near the road, separated by 50 ft of woods, so we suggest that all our doggy friends be leashed until they are on the trails with you. Please leash your dog until into the forest away from the parking area, after that Bob's Your Uncle! Watch kids and dogs in the parking area near the road, and at Ames Creek. A secluded place to dork out and have fun, enjoying a natural Pacific rainforest. Note that the creek is dry in midsummer until the fall and winter rains kick in. Boots are recommended in the fall and winter. Find a map of the main trails in a photo on our MMF Sniffspot site. There are lots of foot trails through the understory ferns. The log bridge can be used to cross Ames Creek, or you can ford it to discover the rest of Magical Mossy Forest Sniffspot. Please pack out doggy bags with you because there is no garbage pickup here, please leave no trace. If there is a downpour and you want to wait it out there is a dry shed in the parking area. Access to power helps keep your batteries charged. Please carry your toilet paper (sorry it walks away). The portapotties are cleaned once a week. Hike up the mini forest

Fully Fenced
9.5 acres

Our property is shy of 12 acres, 9+ acres of which we're sharing as a private off leash dog space or Sniffspot. The entrance is over the bridge where the creek is and 'From Creek to Back of Property' is all yours to explore. You may chain the gate & unleash your doggies right after the bridge. Dogs might run down the creek for a splash or drink. Continue on to our family campground, there are picnic tables you could use. Then, up the hill you go to 'hike up the mini forest', free to roam around, listen to the birds, squirrels and other critters and sounds that nature brings you. You'll find seating areas while your dogs are at play, feel free to use them. Enjoy a picnic with your loved ones if you're up for it on one of the cabin porches or covered / uncovered picnic tables. The back of property behind fence is DNR land, so rest assured you’re on your own private little world with your furry buddies. The mini forest has some large walking paths and smaller trails scattered about, also some open meadows and is at a peaceful wooded setting. This is where I go to unwind and relieve my head of stress and worries. It’s my place of meditation, while my dogs sniff and romp around like crazy, do their zoomies and play hide n seek! Forget about the gym, you'll get your exercise here with your dogs. As mentioned, there are cabins on the property. Sniffspot is unavailable if the Cabins are booked or vice versa. Booking is through Hipcamp (hipcamp.com). Name of listing: 'Grace E.'s Mini Forest Cabins'. Check it out and Search listing through the hipcamp site. Saturdays are usually blocked IF there's Hipcamp bookings. I would Unblock the hours for Sniffspot use if that day isn't booked for Hipcamp, so please try to check back, who knows that day might be available! Anyway, hope you enjoy your little 'hike up the mini forest’…

A walk in Dons woods

Fully Fenced
12 acres

We have a number of wide moss covered walking trails through the woods. The property is fully fenced with wire fencing. But it is NOT dog proof fencing . There is a natural wide buffer between trails and fencing in most spots. The west side has privacy fencing, hogwire fencing on the North and a creek borders the Southend. . We have dogs on the property but they do not go venturing into the woods unless we are with them.

Partially Fenced
30 acres

Glendale Farm Dog Park Description Welcome to Glendale Farm, a peaceful 180-acre working farm in the heart of the Chimacum Valley where dogs and their people can slow down, explore, and reconnect with nature. Our Sniffspot offers a unique off-leash experience surrounded by open pasture, mature forests, seasonal wetlands, orchards, and quiet farm roads. Depending on the season, you’ll enjoy expansive grassy areas, shaded woodland trails, and wide-open views of one of Washington’s most beautiful agricultural valleys. Your visit is designed to feel like a private countryside adventure. Dogs can sniff along hedgerows, explore winding trails, splash in seasonal puddles after the rains, and enjoy plenty of room to run while you relax beneath towering trees or take in the surrounding farmland. Wildlife sightings are common and may include deer, eagles, hawks, owls, frogs, and countless songbirds. Because Glendale Farm is an active agricultural property, you may occasionally see tractors, farm staff, livestock in separate fenced pastures, or other farm activity at a distance. Our Sniffspot area is selected to maximize privacy while respecting our farming operations. The property changes dramatically with the seasons. Spring brings wildflowers and lush green fields. Summer offers dry walking paths and warm evenings. Autumn is filled with colorful foliage and migrating birds, while winter showcases dramatic skies and peaceful landscapes. Please keep all gates exactly as you found them and remain within designated Sniffspot areas unless otherwise instructed. We encourage you to take your time, breathe deeply, and let your dog experience the sights, scents, and sounds of a working regenerative farm. ⸻ Cleanliness We work hard to provide a natural and enjoyable experience. As an active farm, the grounds are maintained regularly, though visitors should expect natural conditions including grasses, mud during wet weather, leaves, sticks, and uneven terrain. Please help us keep the farm beautiful by packing out any trash and disposing of dog waste in the provided receptacles. ⸻ Hazards HOST NOTE Glendale Farm is a working agricultural property and natural landscape. By visiting, you acknowledge that outdoor recreation carries inherent risks. Please use caution around: * Uneven ground, mole hills, roots, rocks, holes, mud, tall grass, and slippery surfaces. * Seasonal standing water and drainage ditches. * Fallen branches, blackberry vines, nettles, thistles, and native vegetation. * Wildlife including deer, raccoons, coyotes, birds of prey, snakes, insects, bees, wasps, and ticks. * Agricultural equipment, tractors, trailers, fencing, irrigation lines, and other farm infrastructure. * Livestock located in fenced areas. Dogs must never approach, chase, or disturb farm animals. * Weather conditions that may change rapidly, including rain, wind, heat, or icy conditions. Dogs should not consume unknown plants, mushrooms, berries, or standing water. While we make every effort to provide a safe environment, visitors are responsible for supervising their dogs at all times. Please ensure gates remain closed behind you and respect any areas marked as private or closed for habitat restoration or farm operations. Guests assume all responsibility for themselves, their animals, and their belongings while visiting Glendale Farm and agree not to hold Glendale Farm or its owners liable for injuries, accidents, property damage, or incidents arising from use of the property. We hope you and your dog leave a little happier, a little muddier, and already planning your next visit to Glendale Farm. 🐾🌿

Bird Watching and Tail Wagging at the Beaver Pond

Unfenced
21 acres

Please Note: 11/25/22- I’ve decided to open up the calendar for a bit to allow reservations with greater ease, but I do still ask that you message first in case someone related to our forest cleanup project is on-site. 10/1/22- At this time the property could be potentially available for your use, however, we are preparing for the forest cleanup project that we’ve been working towards with the DNR for over a year. If you are interested in visiting here, please message and if it works out I’ll be happy to accommodate you. 07/01/22- Important: The Sniffspot platform does not allow hosts the option to approve or cancel reservations, as such I have blocked my calendar to more easily control reservations. I often don’t know until last minute when the forest manager I’m working with for the DNR forest cleanup project is on-site, the logging will take place hopefully this winter. — This 21-acre forest with a large beaver pond is classified as a class-A wetland. In addition to this, you can find a shallow creek, beaver dams, old-growth forest, and phenomenal bird habitat. Find privacy and quiet with the exception of the songs of many birds and woodpeckers. This property was once a show home, but a fire took place over 10 years ago and the house was not rebuilt. While the ruins that remain are minimal, it sets an interesting backdrop; perhaps it can be the scene for a mysterious photoshoot. Within the property is a small orchard, we do ask to try to not let the pups do their business there. Spring 2022 Update: One picnic table have been added to the property.

55Wonderful spot to explore. Very clean! The stream was so neat to watch all the fish, too. Our pup had so much fun sniffing in all the sections of thicket and jumping through the creek. We played with the chuck-it and I even used the binoculars to watch some birds. Loved having the option to close her into either yard with us, so we could keep a closer eye on her. And the long grasses at the back made it easy to keep her away from the fence where the neighbor horses resided on the other side. 10/10 would come again!

55Would come here every day if we could. What a beautiful property to spend time at. The place feels like home! The dogs could not have had a better time running around in the creek. We have two active dogs and they just chased each other for the whole time; jumping over the creek, running around the bushes. The property is very well enclosed and private so that the dogs didn’t get distracted by neighboring properties.

Frequently asked questions about Mukilteo dog hiking trails

Why are private dog hiking trails better than public dog parks in Mukilteo?

Private dog hiking trails in Mukilteo eliminate major public park risks: unpredictable dog encounters that scare puppies, aggressive dogs that trigger reactive behavior, chaotic crowds that overwhelm seniors or small dogs, and disease transmission from dozens of unknown dogs. Mukilteo's 24 private dog hiking trails offer complete privacy, professionally maintained cleanliness, and controlled environments. Whether you have a fearful puppy, a reactive adult, a fragile senior, or simply want peace of mind, private bookings give you control.

How safe are Mukilteo dog hiking trails compared to public dog parks?

Mukilteo dog hiking trails are significantly safer than public facilities. Public dog parks risk: aggressive dogs, inattentive owners, disease transmission, overcrowding that triggers reactive behaviors or injuries. Private Mukilteo dog hiking trails eliminate these concerns—bookings are completely private, all guests have vaccinated dogs (or titers), and hosts maintain clean spaces. 93% of Sniffspot reviews are 5 stars.

Are Mukilteo dog hiking trails safe for reactive dogs?

Mukilteo owners of reactive dogs choose dog hiking trails because they offer safe, private environments for off-leash exercise without the triggers of public dog parks. Complete privacy means no unexpected dog encounters, no overwhelming chaos, no aggressive dogs. Reactive dogs can finally enjoy natural exploration and varied terrain while building confidence in a controlled setting. Many Mukilteo reactive dog owners say Sniffspot is their only safe exercise option.

Can anxious dogs safely use Mukilteo dog hiking trails?

Yes! Mukilteo dog hiking trails provide controlled environments perfect for anxious or fearful dogs. No other dogs means no triggers, no overwhelming situations. Anxious dogs can explore a natural outdoor path where dogs can explore varied terrain off-leash in a safe, private environment at their own pace without stress. Many Mukilteo dog hiking trails offer quiet, spacious settings ideal for building confidence in nervous dogs who struggle at chaotic public dog parks.

Are Mukilteo dog hiking trails good for small dogs?

Absolutely! Small dogs benefit enormously from Mukilteo dog hiking trails because they can explore without fear of being trampled or intimidated by larger breeds. Many small dog owners in Mukilteo avoid public parks entirely due to safety concerns—dog hiking trails eliminate that worry. Filter for appropriate sizing, secure fencing with no gaps, and hosts who understand petite pup needs.

Do Mukilteo dog hiking trails work for senior dogs?

Yes! Senior dogs thrive at Mukilteo dog hiking trails because they can move at their own pace without being knocked over by rambunctious puppies or young dogs. Look for Mukilteo dog hiking trails with flat terrain, easy access, shade, and smaller sizes if your senior has mobility limitations. The privacy means your older dog can rest when needed and enjoy gentle exercise without stress.

What do Mukilteo dog owners say about dog hiking trails?

Reviews of Mukilteo dog hiking trails consistently highlight: excellent privacy for all dog types, secure fencing that prevented escapes, clean and well-maintained spaces, responsive hosts, and safe environments for anxious, fearful, reactive, senior, and small dogs.
