12,000 square foot fully equipped agility field

Fully Fenced
0.25 acres

First time guests use code FIRSTTIMER10 for a $10 discount! Returning renters can use code TRAINYERDOG for a discount too 😉 To access the agility field: Please follow the driveway straight back past the detached garage on the right hand side. You can park on the road or in the grass along the fence line to the field. Please do NOT walk your dog in the unfenced area! Ensure your dog is securely leashed before exiting your car, and walk them directly into the field. Ensure the gate is secured behind you before letting your dog off leash! Please ensure they are safely secured again before exiting the field and returning to your car! *This spot is first and foremost an agility field! There is equipment setup as seen in the photos pretty much all the time. You do not need to be an agility whiz to rent- if you are looking for a quiet, safely enclosed space to let your dog have some off leash time, you are more than welcome here! But do note that it is not a wide open space meant for free running. If your dog has never done agility, do not force them onto any obstacle. Reward them for investigating things, but best not let them have a bad time or get hurt bailing off of a higher obstacle if they are at all unsure. Please do NOT change the height of any jumps unless you know how to do so CORRECTLY! Do not attempt to move or change the height of any tunnels, the teeter, weave poles, or larger obstacles. And please no humans (children included) on or inside of ANY of the obstacles! They are not meant to bear the weight of a human, and they are expensive to replace if damaged. AKC Regulation a-frame, teeter, dogwalk, and jumps from Max200. MAD Agility channel weaves. Tunnels from Clean Run. Keep your dogs leashed for safety when entering/exiting the agility field as the rest of the property is not fenced. It is low tech back there. There is no electricity or running water. Gates are secured with bungees for now until permanent posts & latches are installed. Please bring water, bug spray, sunscreen, proper footwear, etc. The pine trees provide lovely shade, but they do also provide pinecones and twigs. Give the space a once over to ensure you & your dog can run safely! Clean up after your dogs please! Stay safe, have fun, and happy sniffing 🐽

My pets will be indoors at the time of your booking. Thank you! :) Here on SniffSpot I provide a safe, loving, and structured environment where your pets can feel comfortable, socialized (if you wish) and cared for. I’m a proud dog mom of five Cockapoos and a cat mom of one, with hands-on experience raising puppies from birth (including assisting with a litter), as well as caring for senior pets. My home is an LGBTQ+ friendly space, and I’m also a Fairfield University graduate. At my home, your pets will enjoy plenty of space to run, play, and relax in a calm neighborhood that’s great for walks. My goal is to create an stress-free, fun, and safe experience for you and your pet(s). It would be much appreciated if you could book ahead of time so that we can ensure the space is clean and ready for your visit as we like to clean water bowls and fill with fresh filtered water before each visit and do a quick walk through. This will also allow us to locate our cat if he is outdoors and bring him in, as well as our resident dogs. Thank you!

Frequently asked questions about Old Lyme dog fields

Where can I find dog fields in Old Lyme?

Old Lyme has 60 private dog fields available through Sniffspot, offering full-speed running and fetch in completely private settings. These locations range from compact spaces to properties spanning 120+ acres. Whether you need a space for your reactive dog, puppy socialization, senior dog gentle exercise, or high-energy play, Old Lyme dog fields provide safe, private environments. Filter for "fewer dogs seen/heard," specific amenities, or fencing types to find your perfect match.

How many dog fields are in Old Lyme?

Old Lyme offers 60 dog fields ranging from compact spaces to properties spanning acres. You'll find options such as dog hiking trail, fully fenced dog park, dog agility park, and more. Each Old Lyme dog field listing shows detailed photos, amenities, fencing specs, and reviews from local dog owners.

Are Old Lyme dog fields good for all dog types?

Yes! Old Lyme dog fields work for every dog: puppies learning socialization, senior dogs needing gentle exercise, small dogs who feel safer without large breeds, high-energy dogs requiring space, and reactive or anxious dogs needing privacy. The completely private bookings mean each dog gets the environment they need. Browse Old Lyme's 60 options to find spaces matching your dog's specific temperament and needs.

Will I encounter other dogs at Old Lyme dog fields?

Not a chance. Old Lyme dog fields operate on a strict one-booking-at-a-time system, so the space is entirely yours during your reserved slot. Host dogs are kept away, and there's a mandatory 30-minute buffer between bookings—meaning you won't cross paths with the previous or next guest. For Old Lyme owners with reactive dogs, puppies, or any dog needing privacy, this makes all the difference in providing safe, stress-free exercise.

Are Old Lyme dog fields safe for fearful or anxious dogs?

Yes! Old Lyme dog fields provide controlled, predictable environments without the chaos of public dog parks. Since bookings are completely private with 30-minute buffers, anxious dogs can explore a large, open grass area where dogs can run at full speed and play fetch without overwhelming encounters. Many Old Lyme dog owners specifically choose dog fields for fearful dogs who need gentle, stress-free exercise environments.

Can puppies use Old Lyme dog fields?

Absolutely! Old Lyme dog fields are excellent for puppy socialization because they're private and controlled. Puppies can explore a large, open grass area where dogs can run at full speed and play fetch, practice recall, and build confidence without the overwhelming chaos that can create fear or reactivity in young dogs. Just ensure your puppy has age-appropriate vaccinations before visiting.

How do I choose the best dog field in Old Lyme?

Start by filtering Old Lyme's 60 dog fields for your specific needs: secure fencing for escape artists, "fewer dogs seen/heard" for reactive dogs, flat terrain for seniors, appropriate sizing for small dogs, or specific amenities for training. Look for "Top Spots" like Old Lyme's Old Mystic K-9 Adventure Park with excellent reviews.Read feedback from other Old Lyme owners with similar dog types to find your perfect match.

What are Old Lyme's dog field requirements?

All dogs must have basic vaccinations or titers. Each Old Lyme host may have additional rules on their listing. Most dog fields welcome all breeds, sizes, and temperament levels, including reactive dogs who can't safely visit public dog parks. Adult supervision is required at all times.
