The Orchard 🍎

Fully Fenced
2 acres

We’re excited to share our private 2-acre organic apple orchard with you and your dog! It is completely enclosed with a 10-foot tall fence. It’s great for dogs who love to run as well as those who need a quiet place to explore. Because our farm sits a bit off the main road, it is usually a peaceful and relaxing environment. Enjoy beautiful sunsets, trees in bloom, and our sunflower patch! There is occasional mud especially right after a rain. There are bee boxes located outside of the back/northern fence line (your dog will not be able to access them). Due to the nature of our property and the outdoor environment, I cannot guarantee the absence of wildlife, wildlife scat, insects, mud, fallen fruit, weather-related conditions, or other natural elements. By booking a visit, guests acknowledge these conditions may be present. Please keep this in mind when scheduling your visit and thank you for understanding :)

Private 2-Acre Meadow & Mowed Nature Trails

Unfenced
2 acres

Give your dog a chance to slow down, sniff, explore, and enjoy a little country space! Our approximately 2-acre field features a winding mowed loop with two cross paths through the center, giving you several different ways to wander without simply walking back and forth. The field is intentionally kept natural, with tall grasses, wildflowers, young trees, bushes, raspberry patches, and other native plants surrounding the mowed trails. There are plenty of interesting smells and places to investigate, making this a fun spot for dogs who love sniffing and exploring. A lower/pit area with more mature trees is visible from the trails and adds to the secluded, natural feel of the property, although that area is not currently part of the maintained walking path. The property is not fenced, so dogs should remain leashed or on a long line unless they have reliable recall. Because this is a natural field, you may encounter the normal assortment of country residents and annoyances, including insects, ticks, wildlife, uneven ground, and seasonal plants. For your visit, you’ll have: * Two designated parking spaces at the end of the paved driveway * A dog waste bag station * A trash can for used bags * Clearly mowed paths through the field * Plenty of room for a peaceful sniffari away from busy parks This is a simple, natural space designed for dogs who don’t need playground equipment or fancy amenities. Just room to walk, sniff, decompress, and be a dog. Please clean up after your dog and help us keep the trails enjoyable for everyone.

Yoko's 12 Acres Quiet Meadow & 1 Acre Hidden Pond behind the Red Barn

Partially Fenced
12 acres

Where Dogs Run Free, and Humans Slow Down There are easier places to exercise a dog. But this is a place to exhale. Nestled among meadows, towering trees, and a spring-fed pond, this private retreat offers something increasingly rare: space. Space to run. Space to wander. Space to think. Space to do absolutely nothing. Dogs arrive and immediately understand. They sprint through the open fields, follow trails of scent through the grass, splash into the pond, and explore at their own pace. Humans usually take a little longer. They settle into the shade beneath the trees. Listen to the wind moving across the water. Watch clouds drift over the pond. And slowly remember what quiet feels like. We’ve intentionally left the land natural. No crowds. No traffic. No barking from neighboring dog parks. No pressure to hurry. Just open sky, green fields, cool water, and the freedom to enjoy them together. Some days bring bright sunshine and dragonflies skimming the pond. Other days bring dramatic summer clouds rolling across the horizon, turning the landscape into something that feels almost timeless. Every visit is a little different. But the feeling is usually the same. Your dog leaves tired. You leave lighter.

Frequently asked questions about Olivet small dog parks

What do private small dog parks in Olivet offer that public parks don't?

Private small dog parks in Olivet offer complete privacy (no other dogs), specialized environments for appropriately-sized exercise, professionally maintained cleanliness, flexible 24/7 scheduling, and safe spaces for all temperaments—puppies, seniors, small dogs, reactive dogs, or any pup needing accommodations. Public dog parks in Olivet can't guarantee any of this. With 148 options, you get predictable, controlled environments perfect for your dog's specific needs.

Can I find fully fenced private dog parks in Olivet?

Yes! Most of Olivet's 148 private dog parks are fully fenced. Use the "fully fenced" filter to find secure enclosures with detailed specs: height (4ft, 6ft, 8ft+), material (wood, chain-link, vinyl), and gap information. This is crucial for escape artists, puppies learning boundaries, reactive dogs needing contained space, or small dogs who might squeeze through. Olivet listings include fencing photos so you can verify security.

When can puppies start visiting small dog parks in Olivet?

Puppies can visit Olivet small dog parks as early as 8-10 weeks with initial vaccinations, much earlier than the 16+ weeks needed for public park safety. This early, controlled socialization prevents fear and reactivity issues later. Plus, puppies can explore appropriately-sized exercise without being overwhelmed or learning bad behaviors from poorly socialized adult dogs. Many Olivet trainers specifically use small dog parks for puppy development.

How do I find private small dog parks near me in Olivet?

Browse Olivet's 148 small dog parks on Sniffspot by entering your neighborhood or zip code. Filter by distance, then narrow by features: fully fenced, "fewer dogs seen/heard," specific amenities, terrain type, or size. Each Olivet listing shows photos, reviews, exact location, and instant availability. Local favorite Kimberly's 0.5 Acre Fully Fenced Private Dog Park In Lansing is particularly popular among Olivet dog owners.

Yes! All 148 small dog parks in Olivet are available for hourly rental. Most bookings are 1-2 hours, though you can reserve longer for training or events. Book instantly through Sniffspot, arrive during your time slot, and have complete privacy. Many Olivet dog owners rent weekly for consistent, safe exercise.

What's the difference between Sniffspot small dog parks and public dog parks in Olivet?

The biggest difference is privacy and control. Public dog parks in Olivet mean sharing space with unknown dogs and owners. That means you can't control who shows up or how they behave. Sniffspot's 148 Olivet small dog parks give you private bookings where only your dogs are present. You choose the time, the space, and the environment. Plus, your pup enjoys appropriately-sized exercise and maintained cleanliness that public parks can't guarantee.

Are there indoor small dog parks in Olivet?

Yes! Olivet has climate-controlled indoor small dog parks perfect for extreme weather, rainy days, or year-round exercise. Indoor Olivet locations typically feature protective flooring, controlled temperatures, and enclosed environments. They're especially popular for puppy training, senior dogs, reactive dogs, or anyone wanting consistent access regardless of Olivet weather. Filter by "indoor" to see options.

How do Olivet small dog parks help with dog training?

Olivet trainers love small dog parks because privacy eliminates distractions. Work on recall, practice confidence building in appropriately-sized spaces, recall for toy breeds, or socialization with size-matched playmates, reinforce obedience, socialize puppies, or address reactivity without interruptions. For reactive dogs, train without trigger-stacking. For puppies, practice skills in controlled increments. For any dog, get focused training time in an environment specifically designed for appropriately-sized exercise.
