55We had so much fun today! My 3 pups loved frolicking on their own little beach and 2 of the 3 enjoyed swimming in the river. There's a bit of a current, so my 7 pound Papillon would have struggled to get back to shore. The mini Aussie and mini Bernedoodle had no trouble at all. The grass landing was tons of fun, too. They particularly loved the areas where the grass was overgrown and tromped gleefully through it. Their smiles were wide and that just fills my heart up. Myly P.

We didn’t see another soul, the beach is very sandy (for Washington) and while we were there the water close to the shore was low current but got deep enough for our lab to get in a good swim too. 55Lovely, large, open space! My old girl loves tall grass, and this place provides. We saw some elk while there and evidence they'd been snoozing in the fields. The river is too high now (early May), but bet that access there is great in the summer and early fall. A couple, small, muddy spots were easily avoidable, if that's a concern for you.
Heads up: barbed wire on the property and the parking sign is very faded. I was looking for the parking area and ended up in the host's front yard (oopsie), but spotted it on our way walking back from parking spot 2.
