Welcome! Our place is fully fenced with mesh wire, which will keep all dogs secured. Once you close the gate behind you, the whole place is for you to enjoy, including the fenced-in meadow/arena, front and back around the house. You are free to let the dogs out of your car off-leash. Most of the land is flat and accessible. There are a couple of stairs and a small slope lead to my house and the back yard. (See accessibility picture) I understand the significance of providing them with a safe space to unwind. We will never come out when you are here without prior communication. Be aware of the Alpaca in the separate fenced pasture above the Sniffspot pasture. There is also a hose at the bottom of the stairs on the north side of the building to rinse off your pup's paws if needed. All gates except for the main entry gate are locked. Come and let your dog (s) run, play, and sniff..... If your dog(s) would like friends to play with, I have a beagle and small goldendoodle that are social and love to play with other pups. Knock on the front door and if I am home, they can come out and play for a while.

Two spots available, your choice! No need to do anything different to select a spot, you can even decide when you get here! Spot #1 tends to have puddles after heavy rains. It’s wise to bring a towel to wipe down the doggos before you leave. We have reopened spot #2 in the pasture nearest May Valley Road. For the time being, the goats are still in the pen adjacent to spot #2. We moved the birds out and are finishing a new goat area. If you want a cleaner run and don’t mind meeting our goats Bonnie, Clyde, and Grommit, check out spot #2. The goats don’t mind dogs too much, but may try to head butt them through the fence if dogs get too close. If you don’t mind occasional puddles, spot #1 is good for a splashing good time. Remember to bring boots and towels for afterward. 1 acre of flat field in a beautiful setting. One large tree in the corner. Fully fenced approx 4.5’ with predator fencing. We have motion lights that come on at night, not super bright but makes the spot visible during early night winters. Boarded by two, large pastures, a private road with limited use and our barn. Occasionally during the wet months flocks of geese/ducks may land in the wetlands adjacent. We have goats, turkeys, geese, ducks and chickens but they are on the other side of the property and should not be seen/heard. We have two dogs, Veles and Flora, that will be on the other side of the property or in the house. There is a covered bench and trash can in the spot, fresh water is also available. An outdoor bathroom is available for use, see map. When using the bathroom please keep your pup in your car. We look forward to hosting you and your pup! Our large acreage is open for you to explore and walk as well. We are not an amusement park of entertainment, we are peaceful safe alternative for you to enjoy peace and quiet in a lovely setting. Enjoy different places to sit and take in the landscape and open spaces of nature while your dogs gets to play and safe exercise. A lovely place for a picnic. Our park has both sunny areas, and shady areas at all times of the day. Please do not pick or disturb the fruit and fence lines. Fetch on a few different long, and large lawns that are non fenced, off leash, for those that are in full control of the friendly dogs. We are off the road and a safe, quiet, very private property. No mud ever, all of our property drains properly and is well maintained. We have plenty of parking, our setting is very private above large homestead acreage quiet farmland fields of the Schwarzmiller River Valley, Barkley Park is just 3 miles from old town Lake Stevens. To enter the fenced Sniffspot follow the red reflectors up the grassy lawn hill past the large livestock gate that’s at the top, go around the top corner there is a people sized gate. Enjoy staying warm and dry in our raised floor covered warming hut with seating and protection from the weather. Easy to find, easy to enter our fenced Sniffspot. Easy latch for coming, and going. If you choose to be adventurous you may choose to visit the forest area behind the fenced area. It’s a steep hill up with natural woodland ground, lots of ferns, beautiful nature untouched. Old trails exist, we have not cleared them in recent years, feel free to explore them if you would like to just know, they are not maintained and certain times of year there is brush and ferns. We have running water with a hose for your convenience at our pump house. You may occasionally see myself, my husband or my elderly mother by the house, and patio, working on the property and gardens, area around our home. We live above farms that takes care of their fields so you may hear mowing in the distance in the valley we set above. Please do not pick, or disturb the fruit on the trees. Please keep children, and all guests off the fence line, and do not step on the gates or fencing. Shut the gates when coming, and going. Please leash your dog/dogs upon arrival until you become aware of the setting. Your reservation must include the correct number of dogs in your visit that is stated in your reservation time. Correct or update this if need be before you start your visit at Barkley Park. We are happy to share our safe quiet countryside with pups and their people. We do not meet our Sniffspot guests, with that being said, feel free to send us a text or ask if you need help with anything. Enjoy! We do offer pet boarding in our home for select clients. Everything our pup enjoys in life, is available to your pet, including a big pillow bed in the heart of our home.

Magical Mossy Forest Sniffspot is a large mystical woodland adventure for dogs in Redmond on the way to Carnation. Boots are recommended in the winter rain. MMF is preferred by puppies, dogs, people, adults and kids alike because it has potable water, power, picnic tables, chairs, several firepits, lit portapotties, 3 swing sets, 3 slides, monkey bars, 3 Forts, a log bridge to cross over Little Ames Creek for when the creek is flowing, a doggy playground, lots of picturesque moss, lighted parking lot, woodchip trails and many footpaths over 5 forested moss covered acres. Parking is near the road, separated by 50 ft of woods, so we suggest that all our doggy friends be leashed until they are on the trails with you. Please leash your dog until into the forest away from the parking area, after that Bob's Your Uncle! Watch kids and dogs in the parking area near the road, and at Ames Creek. A secluded place to dork out and have fun, enjoying a natural Pacific rainforest. Note that the creek is dry in midsummer until the fall and winter rains kick in. Boots are recommended in the fall and winter. Find a map of the main trails in a photo on our MMF Sniffspot site. There are lots of foot trails through the understory ferns. The log bridge can be used to cross Ames Creek, or you can ford it to discover the rest of Magical Mossy Forest Sniffspot. Please pack out doggy bags with you because there is no garbage pickup here, please leave no trace. If there is a downpour and you want to wait it out there is a dry shed in the parking area. Access to power helps keep your batteries charged. Please carry your toilet paper (sorry it walks away). The portapotties are cleaned once a week.
