The Splashpad Sniffspot yard at our Hershey Road location is available on Saturdays and Sundays only, offering a quiet, self-service environment while our facility is closed. Please note that this is a dog-only Splashpad. For safety reasons, children are not permitted to run or play on the Splashpad. While most visits are quiet and private, we do offer dog training classes onsite on some weekends. Guests may see people or dogs arriving, though they use a separate entrance. This is important to consider for dogs who may be reactive. This is a self-service experience, as staff are not typically onsite during weekend rentals. Hello fellow pet parents! We have a total of three lush green acres available for your beloved pet friends to explore. The space is fully-fenced. Our fence is a 3.5 foot high cattle fence with wire mesh. The entrance to our spot is a large metal swing gate. The spot has cut short-grass. There are lots of deer among other animals in the area so your dog can have their own sniffing adventure! No need to worry if your dog is reactive because these animals usually keep their distance. We have digging areas and poop bags. We also have some wood planks that could possibly be used for agility jumps (See pictures). You can enjoy a chill hangout at the picnic table, or relax on the lawn chairs while watching your pup. Hand sanitizer, sunscreen, and a trash can will be provided as well. At this time we are not able to offer water or doggy bowls. The area is quite tranquil; you can enjoy birds chirping or even meditate. Portable lawn chairs are also accessible. It’s a perfect place to take some time off from daily life struggles and relax; both for you and your furry friend! Shady spots are available during any time of the day if you don’t like to be under the sun. We would love to see your furry friends enjoying our yard. The back right corner of the yard has a play area with a playhouse, caterpillar tunnel, tire tunnel, climbing cube, climbing dome, car beds, the biggest tire you’ve ever seen, and hammock. We also have a bunch of dog toys, including tons of tennis balls, and several herding balls of various sizes. Part of our yard is shady and part is sunny. You get the best of both worlds. The pool is completely fenced off from the rest off the yard. You don’t have to worry about your dog(s) accidentally falling in. Our yard is handicap accessible. There are no stairs to climb. The entrance to the backyard is a flat grassy area. The gate leading to the back yard is wide enough for a wheelchair or power chair. The yard has a slight incline, but there are no major obstacles that would prevent a wheelchair from moving around. We are located in Sykesville, MD which is about 30 mins from Baltimore and Columbia. 15 minutes from Owings Mills, Ellicott City, and Westminster.

Aussie's Oasis

Enjoy our perfect, not so perfect oasis while you visit! We have 3 Australian shepherds that enjoy our yard so much that they wanted to share it with you. We can leave a water dish as well as poo bags and a scoop, whatever you choose. We also have corn hole/ladder toss available if you would like to play while watching your pup(s) play! (Please ask in advance for yard games and I’ll put them out) Parking is in the driveway, you simply enter the backyard through the gate on the left. Please make sure to close the gate behind you. Grill is not available for use. Both shed and home are locked at all times. Please clean up after your dog(s) and watch them carefully. Take care of my things as you would your own. We hope you enjoy as much as we do! Disclaimer: We HAVE ring security cameras at both the entrance and rear of home. Another thing I’d like to add is: While we are at work, our dogs ARE inside and you will most likely hear them barking. If you’d rather have less distractions to enhance your time, I’d recommend booking during evening hours (after 5:30 PM) to give me an opportunity to get my dogs out of the house and/or on the weekend with notice. We also live next to a major highway, separated by a large sound barrier, but not recommended for dogs with high sound sensitivity.
