Treat your dog to a one-of-a-kind Splashpad experience at Playful Pups Retreat. This clean, professionally maintained space is designed specifically for dogs to enjoy safe water play, cooling off, and enrichment in a private setting. Guests also have access to a large grass yard for additional running and exploration. The Splashpad Sniffspot yard at our Hershey Road location is available on Saturdays and Sundays only, offering a quiet, self-service environment while our facility is closed. Please note that this is a dog-only Splashpad. For safety reasons, children are not permitted to run or play on the Splashpad. While most visits are quiet and private, we do offer dog training classes onsite on some weekends. Guests may see people or dogs arriving, though they use a separate entrance. This is important to consider for dogs who may be reactive. This is a self-service experience, as staff are not typically onsite during weekend rentals. Clear operating instructions are provided to ensure a smooth and enjoyable visit. This is a 24 acre property with a rear field that is approximately 5 acres that contains a beautiful, mature 1 acre pond. The Conewago Creek runs right through the middle of the property. The back of the property has direct access to the Lebanon Valley Rail Trail. It is not fenced; however, it has a thick natural brush line, and the other three sides have an older partial fence with overgrown brush. It is very secluded.

Lovely creekfront space of one acre woods,metal steps to get to creek spot. Some steps are bent so be careful and swim or wand in creek at your own risk. steep areas on a hillside next to a quiet road with some level flat spots but again it’s wooded. Great for someone with a dog that loves water. Steps to access the creek. Due to changes in water level the beach area can be larger or smaller. Guests welcome to be on any part of the acre of creekfront. It is overgrown. We sometimes weed wack but the woods have no clear paths although your welcome to wander anywhere.

Playful Pups Retreat SniffSpot Play Yard

Our SniffSpot Play Yard is fully fenced in with a 6ft tall wooden privacy fence. We have 19 wooded acres with our boarding facility being located at the South end of our property, the owners personal residence in the middle and our private SniffSpot play yard at the North end of our property. We do have a nice walking trail that meanders through our property but please be aware that our Playful Pups Retreat Staff may be walking overnight boarding dogs on the trail during our business hours. There is a container with a few toys to play with inside the SniffSpot yard but we do suggest bringing your own toys. Please bring poop bags and clean up after your pet. Please take bags of poop with you or stop at Playful Pups and dispose of it in one of our outdoor trash receptacles. FOR NOISE SENSITIVE DOGS! PLEASE BE AWARE WE DO HAVE A GUN CLUB NOT FAR FROM THIS PLAY YARD. DEPENDING ON THE DAY THERE MAY BE GUNFIRE.
